Hmm, not quite necessarily for Newts. They are pretty much amphibious, the only issue is their preference for that environment, much like Seagulls I would imagine since they wouldn't have any inclination to venture far from the shores.
Eels and Sharks are limited to the waterways, not a very thrilling RP experience really. Particularly if you want to RP with another member.

i cannot argue with that. True, eels would make better NCPs then actual characters. Hm i think every single species is up there now. Of course like theres the lapwing and ect. but there just side characters and used like from Pearls of lutra for feathers to a bow for Grath.Im getting off topic, anyways my mind quit dead, so i dont think any more ideas will spring up.

got some more animals: Black-backed gull whale Jackjaw house martin songthrush
the whale i know we cant RP becuase like the eel and the shark, its domain is the sea. (and its HUGE)
the black-backed gull can fly anywhere, as in Pearls of Lutra five flew threw moss flower as spys.

These probably won't be added, however. Though it is true that BJ is ever expanding his species, only a few ever really make multiple appearances. I would like to see the norm falling with the generic mouse, otter, squirrel, etc. If we have too many exotic or simply 'uncommon' creatures, it won't hold the reputation Redwall has so far had. Species like this can be requested as 'special' through PM, though otherwise, I would like to keep them off the list.

Sure, why not. Try to steer away from the exotic species though, seeing as you have two.

You can, if we listed that as a sub-species, it still doesn't mean anything other than someone should be thwapped.
But we do insist that you refrain from making anymore foxes, we have a lot. You can if you want, but we'd rather you didn't.

Er, well, I'm not a staff member, but we have TWO badgers already.
How about a hare? A nice, friendly hare for Elicia to talk to?

It's acceptable. Three Badgers out of roughly 40+ actual characters isn't bad.

Could I throw in another Wildcat...? I see theres already a pretty good wildcat population but I assure you that Tirael, Grath and Eli can attest to the raw awesomeness of the certain one I have in mind
