I think it would be time for me start posting the bulletins from the Redglade... And the summaries of my NPC:s. I'll start from Orbweaver and the squirrel-maiden.

Sorry from the spam but I'm raising this thread from the dust as we have more plot talking to do. ^^

Alright Onyxwing, let's see how to get your character into the story. And any other member wishing to get his alt in Cavern Crew -plot, but doesn't know how to get him/her into the story, ask about it here and together we brainstorm good backstory to your character.

But first the Onyxwing. The first idea is that someone in Vermilion inner circle is an old acquaintance of your flying squirrel and knows his reputation - and so recommends him in the thievery-mission. Just simple as that.

The second idea of mine is that Orbweaver, the tribes seer, foresees that there must be some particular beast/beasts in group the mission to be successfully. This is actually how Knar (and Errot) will be pulled into the Redglade's affair, but we can use the same trick to get Onyxwing involved.

Okay, we now need seriously take consideration what to do with the "Cavern Crew" plot-line as things have been in hold for quite long time and I know everybody is eager to kick the story going (me included).

The problem is that Rausaro hasn't been online for a while - and even if he has been, he hadn't answered in my PMs concerning the plot. What I have gathered he's being really busy so it's understantable he hasn't been logged in for a awhile. The real life outside the Internet and RPing always comes first.

However it doesn't change the fact that we don't get anything started here. And it's quite frankly starting to bother me - after all, the fundations of this story-line were placed months ago and in couple ot months things aren'y moved no-where. My biggest fear is that if we drag the starting too long, players lose their interest in the story-line. And when that happens, the whole plot dies out.

Rausaro himself seemed ok with the plot-line's idea, and the things we mainly discussed were focusing on the use of NPCs in the story. And then there were some things he wanted to confirm with Tracy, our admin. I don't know if Rausaro has been too busy to make those contacts, or is he also still waiting answers from Tracy. The unability to get the answers isn't because of the lack of trying from our behalf - Besides Rausaro I even contacted Tracy himself via the PM when he was online. But I never did get the answer from him.


So I'm starting to think that after this long patient waiting, we have earned some rights to get things moving on here. So I propose we'll start the Cavern Crew storyline. When Rausaro gets back and if he's unhappy with this decision, I'll take the full responsibility, as I'm the one who first suggested this. After all, I'm also the one who has been in touch with him about this plot.


But these are my thoughts and I want to know what do you think. Everybody can freely speak up his/her mind now, there are no wrong answers here. Do you wish to get plot started - or do you wish to wait? As the waiting for the official approval is still an option -- then we just sit back and wait (But how long, that I can't say). I'm not compelling you to join in the idea if you disagree with it -- And I do not intend force anyone participate in this "leap of faith" with the mindset "if you're not in, your alts is out". No-one's character is kicked out of the plot if the player prefers the waiting.

I myself would like to get this plot going before its too late, but it's not only my decision to make. That's why I started this discussion: to know what you want. This is plotline for all pleyers here in LoRA, so the decision of either starting the plot or staying in waiting must be done together.

I think it is a valid point actually. We did start the story a few months ago. I think if we procede as a regular rp instead of a server wide tiny plot we will be able to avoid causing too much trouble for our gracious hosts on the server ^^.

Forum rp is a little different from mucks in the sense that each story line can be contained to itself with out effecting other story lines or other players alts.

Plus when we saw the head wiz, admittedly a while ago she didn't seem to mind either the plot we are brewing.

Im good either way in all honesty. We keep tossing interesting twists (ie making a fool of baro XD) to keep the story alive and interesting while we wait.

As for npcs i did kind of spam quite a few into the story, if they manage to survive they are going to stay npcs. Nothing beyond throwing them into a story down the road just to see what happened with them. Otherwise the vast majority will be dead by the end of the story.

I'm in agreement. It's better to apologize for starting too soon than get started when we've been stalled for months.

So apparently we're going to start the storyline as up until now no-one has emerged to oppose the idea. I shall start preparations immeadiately.

ight now there is some interesting interaction happening in the "Vermin to goodbeast to"-thread, so let's finish them before starting the new thread. If it's okay with you, I can do the new threads first post - that way I can put up a necessary summary of main things what are going to happen in that thread.
