Personal grudges are always the best xD ...Well, I was trying to sketch portrait from Vermilion and ended up drawing him while he's laying lazily on his throne. Which has a huge beast hide over it. With a bit adjust I could make it look like a badger's hide (or let's hope so). So what if Vermilion had killed Bomboard's father or brother, then skinned him and taken his hide with him as a trophy? Would that stunt earn some personal vendetta? ^^ (we can include that home-destroying too, if you want x) )
Those poor, poor hares... Have pity on them! xDD
It's all right coolcoyote - don't worry, we'll get our plots wrapped up ^^ Let's not hurry them, as they now offer exciting opportunities of backstory to "Cavern Crew"
And no hurry with the summaries -- I keep mine in my folders until Rausaro has officially confirms us with permission start "Cavern Crew"-storyline n__n

I've had an idea for an NPC for your horde, Caterpillar. How would you like a seer/soothsayer? I have a female rat in mind. I'll put it in the bio thread.

Oh, I had to change the plot for Bomboar, where he was, as I was told by Rausaro that Brockhall had been destroyed, so I had to find a new home for him, I guess, somewhere in Mossflower.

Oh yes, a seer is must in tribe like Redglade n__n ...Actually I already have made a NPC like that. Coolcoyote suggested I should have at least one NPC that can mingle with Vermilion's underlings or heroes. So I came up an idea a shaman with a insign foretell the future(he's also tribe's healer). He's also a rat but old and feeble. So which one we gonna appoint as tribe's seer? (: I don't think we need two fortunetellers unless Zadreb is the apprentice of the older rat.

I didn't know that you already had one. So, she can be his apprentice if you like, but he'd better watch his back, as she'll be looking for any opportunity to take his place, accidents do happen, hehehehe....

Looking forward to see how that will turn out x)
So you changed Bomboard plot - do we keep his vedetta for Vermilion the same? That the weasel killed Bomboard's father/or brother and uses his hide as warm cushion on his throne? Maybe destroing his home? (In that case, it should make more sense if Bomboar's home was in somewhere border of north Mossflower, since I'm pretty sure that Vermilion has lived all his life on outskirt of Mossflofer woods, never stepping into the deeper forest.)

That'd be fine, a purpose for Bomboar's vendetta.

Okay, things are looking good, plans laid and all... Little bit honing the details and we can kick this thing going as soon as we get official permission. ^^
Fernleaf, what you think about if Bomboar's Father/brother had a lightning-shaped badger stripes on his face? If Vermilion killed Bomboar's family member when he was just starting his career as a Horde Lord, he might have copied that stripe-pattern when creating his own face markings. Maybe Vermilion saw this a way make badger's strength part of him, as he bears his victim's unique marking wherever he goes.
And coolcoyote, as you have created so many interesting minions for Vermilion (thanks for that!) I'm now asking if you've come up any beast that could be Vermilion's right-hand-man. Or have you thought of giving that mantle to someone you have already created? (: Vermilion needs a second-in-command: my shaman-seer isn't kind of beast of action which the Horde Lord needs, though he is in high position. Snivels is too suck-up to be second-in-command (but maybe he's aiming there?), Wolf is the Quartermaster and Rose Vermilion's own personal thief.

Oh, that sounds good, Pillar! Go for it!
And I still need some good guys to go with us. I was thinking, please don't have me play any moles. I never could master molespeech, bo urr LOL! Bats I can handle, handle.

Good you agree Fernleaf. (:
Moles are sweet but truly that molespeech is impossible to write! xD (or it's to me!) So I doubt we'll get a mole joining in our hero group...
Right, let's do the summary of our good guys: Fernleaf, Steck, possibly Baro if he don't make enemies out of our heroes, my NPC-character squirrel maiden, Bomboar and perhaps couple of hares and the last, but not the least, soldier's hedgehog if he's still on board. Should that suffice for a starters so that there will be still room for others join in if they want?
And one more thing: coolcoyote and I are trying out our NCPs in our thread "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours". Do you want to join us with your female seer-rat? ^^ It would be a great opportunity get familiar with your creation.
EDIT: Added soldier's hedgehog

I have to hit the hay for the night, but I'll think of doing the seer-rat when I can. And yes, I think that would be sufficient. Soldier has a hedgehog, but I haven't heard from him in a while.

right hand beast eh? Hmmm, yes I do need to put in more action alts. Wolf is too fat and lazy, Snivels would send other beasts to do it. I have an idea for either a monitor lizard or an otter who turned vermin ^^ those are the two ideas I have that come off the top of my head XD I'll see what I can do

lol, now you see why I'm not too good at villains. Zagreb simply creeps me out! But I'll continue playing her. I mentioned bats a while ago, and it gave me an idea for another NPC. I'll post it in the bio thread.

Whoo, Nightwing Lord Cayvear and his kin will be good allies to Vermilion O.O If they offer him assistanse when asked, in return Vermilion can see to it that the bats are rewarded by delicious things that grow outdoors. I doubt bats can get easily their winged paws on goods that are produced under the sun ^^
As there already are couple of lizards in Vermilion's inner circle, I vote for the otter who turned into vermin! x) (the only thing that sometimes bored me in Redwall-books was that black-and-white setup where almost all vermin were bad and goodbeast were good). But of course you can create a character you like the best. ^^ I only give on tip: Vermilion is kind a demanding lord, so his second-in-command should be capable beast with ability think his own.

Ok Rasilisk the Otter is up and in the npc section. How do you feel about appointing him right hand beast in rp? :3 Im thinking that the last right hand beast died of liver failure or some other non warrior like death a few ic months back and just hasn't been replaced yet

WOW! That is one fearsome otter. And now we come full circle, a good ferret and a bad otter. Sounds good. As Caterpillar said, that brings some variety in the Redwall world, where too often, vermin and goodbeasts are too static.

True. To be honest the fact that vermin were always some form of evil and redwallers were always goodguys kind of turned me off of the books. Especially how the hares and badgers of salamandarstron were basically flawless beasts who mercilessly slaughtered vermin left and right
But thats mostly cause my favorite characters were the vermin minions who got killed XD
And yes I know the feeling you mean Ferleaf, playing a villain that creeps out the auther ^^. Its hard to explain to others unless they have felt that too, how an alt or npc just disturbs a player. Its like...finding out it is really easy for you to play the joker. XD
I get around it by not crossing the moral event horizon with evil alts. Give them a line even they wont cross. Where that line is, is up to you ^^
EDIT: If for some reason Baro should seperate himself from the party, turn on them, or get killed Then I might have to create a woodlander or some other form of good guy to keep up with the story XD If that should happen I will probibly bring in some otter npc. I wont post him to the forums unless I actually use him in rp. Until then, Im open for suggestions on what he should do for a living, look like, etc etc ^^

Hmmm...He could be the brother of Rasilisk. That'd make it real interesting. As Rasilisk is the number two man to Vermillion, this other could be Skipper of Otters. It would be interesting if and when they finally meet.
I'm already thinking of the message Martin gives Fernleaf, when he finally hears the warrior, and what he's trying to say to him. I've got to remember what I've been thinking and put it in my documents somewhere so I have it ready when the ferret gets it so I won't forget it.

I remember one time on the Redwall Muck the subject of marten came up in IC. My fox alt, much like baro, said, "Oh! I had a dream about martin too! He pointed his sword at me and in a deep voice said, only I could save the abbey." The fox paused to take a drink of ale, "So I told him to tie his tail in a knot and go bug someone else."
XD Yes, I have quite a lot of pudgy thiefy fox alts across mucks, mux and mushes. If you ever run into one, there is a good chance they are mine.

Rasilisk is perrrrfect second-in-command! ^^ Vermilion shall promote him at the feast, it would be great! (no wonder Snivels is so keen to flatter the warlord right now!) There may be couple of "good-beast" in Vermilion's Trine: outcasts of their kin. But I'm pretty sure that there won't be any small species like mice , shrews or moles in his ranks (but as slaves most certainly).
I did quick survey in Character Library (notice: only quick) and I couldn't find any character that has been appointed as Skipper of Otters. So I think it won't be a problem to create NCP-Skipper if we ever need him. If he'll be the brother of Rasilisk, things indeed will get interesting!
Is the Martin's message going to be cryptic as always? (:
