Far into the Northlands, where the weather is harsh and the days long, four clans of cats struggle within their own territories to survive. Amidst the snow and the ice of their homeland these northern, frost-faring cats worship their ancestors that they believe still live on within the strange, ethereal lights that often dance across the sky.
Beneath the aurora borealis, to the north, thrives the wispy cats of SnowClan. They live upon the barren tundra of the north, thin but fierce survivors of the flatlands.
To the east resting upon the coast dwell the cats of IceClan. Their territory is nothing but frozen water, constantly crumbling and reforming beneath their feet. No prey dares to live the harsh life they lead and these thick-skinned cats much fish to survive.
Far to the south lays the territory of TimberClan. These pampered cats live among the warmer climate of the pine forests, hunting and living without the fear of a winter freeze ending their lives. However they have a different worry, for numerous packs of arctic wolves are there to hunt them back.
And beneath them all, buried and tunneled into the very earth itself is CaveClan. These reclusive cats live deep underground, their territory stretching far under that of the other clan's. Their ears and noses are keen and quick, but their eyesight is weak in the light of day.
For generations the four clans of the Northlands have lived in relative peace and understanding. Yet a new leader has risen up within one of them, his mind lost in sadness and grief, and he threatens to ruin the tranquil way of life of the Northlands cats. Forever.
Will you join one of the clans and fight for your way of life? Or become a rogue and antagonize them all?
