clink Tori tried her best to keep from cursing aloud as the nail holding the map of Mossflower to the wall fell from the parchment and clattered to the floor. Rolling it up she realized that in her scant clothing she had no where to stick the large tube of paper. With a shrug of her shoulders she tiptoed out of the room and up the stairs of the moored ship.Every creak drawing a wince from her body. behind her a creature clinked, a rat to be exact. One who had been washed th day before to prevent a dirt trail showing their precise path.
The little rat opened his mouth to speak. Only to trip and fall sending all of their supplies rolling out of his oversized belted Tunic and to the decks. 'Sorrez Tor'." He grumbled as he scattered around to pick it up, ringing their plans of secrecy in the process.
The female otter just shook her Head and with the nail she had picked p earlier and a mallet in Bilge's stash she ailed it to the mainmast. It was a letter. 'Dear Phessy, Hope ya can read. Well as I was sayin' I'll be back soon so don't go to far, and get in to much trouble whilst I am gone. -Your 'loving' Sister Tori' Short but it got the point across.
Grabbing Bilge by his small paw the female Otter raced to the rail of the ship, and pulling Bilge over with her as she dived the both arose into the current of the Moss. Coming ashore minutes later they both shook the wetness from their fur, and let eachother's paws go. hen the y headed towards Mosslfower. Which was directly to the west, and through some nasty stuff.

Steelfur was reclining on a hammock in the lower deck when he heard a big splash. He quickly got up and grabbed his weapon. He charged up the steps and over to the railing, where he saw the ripples bounce around. He looked around. His captain wasn't in sight, he had gone on land to resupply. With a sigh, Steelfur surmised that he was in charge, and therefor responsible for finding out who went overboard. "You there!" He pointed savagely at a passing stoat. "Watch the ship. If anything goes amiss, I won't bet on your chances of living when The captain comes back." The stoat, shivering in fear, nodded and ran off. Steelfur gripped the sides, and before he could reconsider, hopped off the side. He plunged into the murky depths of the Moss, and quickly arrowed towords the shore. He came up with a gasp and shook the water off. He looked down, and saw tracks heading off in the distance. He followed, angry at whatever made him plunge into the water and chase after it.

Bilge couldn't help but laugh as he heard Steelfur's voice cut a furrow through the night. The little rat had tought he had been loud! Well compared to Steelfur he was as silent as a frightened church mouse. Even quieter mayhaps. Bilge felt a paw cover hism outh, and Tori joingly threatening to cut his tongue out if he made another peep, she was joking of course..right? Deciding it best not to find out he continued walking, and was amazed htat everything but the mallet was still stuffed in his shirt, and perfectly in order.
Tori stared straight ahead. How har could it be to walk past a Rock quarry and a Swamp? She didn't even have to go in either of them, the map and her path went right aroudn them, but of course skimmed near them, she didn;t want to miss any sights along the way. After she finished her little 'vacation' she probably wouldn't be seeing much for a while, except a angry Phessy. what did he think he was her keeper? Pfft, if it wasn't for her they couldn't find their own tails.

But another beast was watching Tori and the rat. Two pools of blue watches the otter, yet its eyes were small. The reason being as the owner of the pools were glaring at the she-otter. Tighten the grip on his newly repaired bow the weasel glared at the otter. He remembered her face well. The one who had stopped him from apprehending that corsair a few weeks ago. Notching an arrow to his bow he was about to fire when he heard the other voice. Letting his bowstring go slack he watched backtracked a little to see the fox start to follow the she-otter. Shrugging he followed a little in front of the fox, waiting to see how this would turn out. His bow ready to draw with an arrow already notched to it...

(ooc:It's a fox, mate) Steelfur crept quietly, or at least as quitly as he could. He twirled his staff in his paw, now fully connected, and perked his ears to catch anytrace of sound. He muttered darkly as he listned to a cocophony of shuffles, crinkles, snaps, and other sounds. He couldn't discern any sound of a beast moving ahead of him, but he did get an icy finger run up his bare backbone. He had a feeling that something was watching him, something very unfriendly.

Tori had the smae feeling, but right now she was to happy to show it. SHe was heading to Redwall, just to see what otters and such were like when they were not fighting with vermin. Which of course Tori counted herself as. Even her clothing looked liek it. With a streak of enius she paused. "Bilge give me that fabric bundle will ya?
Confused the little rat pulled out a light colored piece of fabric, which when shook out resembled a long sleeved tunic with puffs on the shoulder. The second Tori put it on she batter her eyelashes and tried her best to lose her cheeky grin. WHich she failed horribly at, so now she was a nicely dressed sharky girl instead of a scantily clad one. Not that much o a difference.
"Steel fur sounds frightened." Tori realized that she was nervous as well. There wa someone else here besides Steelfur. She could tell bu the sweat trickling down her back, adn the gazes Bilge kept giving to both sides of the path. Already his coat was well caked in dust, he was basically a magnet for his dust, or his light fur was anyway.

(Sorry mate, edited.)
The weasel continued to follow the she otter and her small rat companion. He watched as she put on the frilly shirt. Strange that she was trying to look more nice, yet she could never lose that air of arrogance or distain. Shrugging he watched her, hearing that she knew the fox was following her. Looking back he watched as the fox drew ever closer. The time to reveal himself was soon....

Steelfur's fur stood up on his spine. His ears twitched at each crackle of leaves, or snape of twigs. He heard voices slightly ahead of him, and to his astonishment recognized them. He racked his brains to find faces for the voices, but he ran out of time. A dark figure stepped in front of him.

(If it's not Hawk who stepped out in front of you tell me and I'll delete this.)
The pools of Blue watched the fox as he put on his blades. Hawk looked at the blades, he didn't know what the fox would do to the she otter, but he couldn't let the fox stop him from getting his revenge. Stepping in front of the fox he made sure to keep his voice low. "Calm yourself fox, I mean you no harm, or you would only feel a pain in your neck." The long arrows on the weasels back only seemed to reinforce the weasels words. "We seek the same prize, the she-otter, maybe we can help each other?"

Steelfur stared at the other, uncomprehending. "She otter...?" Realization suddenly dawned on him. Then anger clouded his face. "You seek to harm Tori, don't you?" He accused angrily. "I'm after no bounty, yet to retrieve those who left the ship while my captain was away. And here you stand, willing to harm his sister. Although I have no loyalty to her, I have respect. And Toriphess would never forgive me if I willingly let you do anything to his sister. That being so, a direct confrontation seems almost inevitable, unless you would rather retreat. Allow me to resume my course, and never think of touching that 'she-otter'. Even though she can more than look after herself." A sly grin creeped on his face as he twirled the pole and moved it from behind to front. He held it in an odd position. The pole was directly perpendicular to the ground, and Steelfur's paws were situtated at the center, with the heels touching and thumbs at opposite ends.

Two voices now. The one that had threatened her with bodily harm was vaguely familiar.Meaning she had only heard it once or twice and couldn't place exactly where. Whoever it was didn't like her though. Sad he'd ave to get in line with everyone else that didn't like her. Question was did Steelfur know she wasn't supposed to leave the ship, that Pehssy hadn't called her, and that she had ran with the ships charts? Just for a few days? Probably not. Tori blinked and lifting her paw to her mouth for quiet she ran off again, Bilge of course was Bilge.
The young rat was slapped in the face by, and tangled in ,everything from low hanging tree branches to large piles of leaves, and a screen of low hanging whippy leaves, from a willow tree mind you. He kept adding to the noise by apologizing, and drew giggles from his companion. Bilge would pass for a mouse, and in her new...well now ruined and scratched dress she could pass for a somewhat respectable maiden. Of course Bilge couldn't help but see the cheeky grin and the overconfidence shining in her eyes.

Hawk was half tempted to shot the fox here and now, but the sound of movement caught his attention. She was escapeing his grasp. Looking back to the fox his expression never changed. "Suppose we are at odds then, yet there will be no conflict yet, depends which one of us gets to her first." His white teeth shineing in the moonlight the black weasel disapeared into the woodland, and again resumed his chase of the otter. He wasn't sure he wanted to kill her, just make her feel the same kind of pain he felt last time they met. Besides, with her he could get much closer to her brother, the one causeing all the pain to begin with...

Steelfur snarled. "I guarantee that I shall be first to reach her side." He changed tactics, and ran into the underbrush. He swiftly ran through the trees to get to Tori. He must not allow the weasel to get to her. Who knows what would happen if they encountered. Meaningless slaughter(carried out by Tori he had no doubt) is not what they wanted. Further on, if they had more reputation, they still might not. Toriphess just hated wasting life.

"come ion Bilge. You don't wan' me to carry ya do ya?" Tori reached down to pick up the small rat only to have him shoot ahead of her.According to the map Redwall was to the west. How far was unknown, and due to the darkness it would have to wait until light to be figured out. She was in no hurry, of course the threats of murder did stick out as a reason to pick up the pace. Especially now that she recognized the voice of that weasel. Why had it taken her so long!? Ignoring the tears in her new dress she ran. One hand on her dagger hilt, and Bilge behind her fumbling with his sling adn his spiky projectiles. She didn't want to be shot after all. What would her brother think!?
Steel fur was coming t the rescue. Oh joy! That was almost as bad as Bilge coming to rescue he as she fell off a cliff, he would probably go over first.

Steelfur caught site of Tori in front of him. Why was she off the ship, and why was Bilge with her? In any case, he had to get them back on the ship before that weasel got to them. "Tori! I don't know where you are going, but you must turn back! Your brother would have my head if that weasel got to you!"

Hawk cursed when he finally found the otter and the small rat again, the fox had beat him to them. Taking out his bow he noticed an arrow and took aim between the fox and the otter. Sighting quickly he let lose. The arrow thudding down just between Tori and Steelfur. Walked out from behind the fox he had another arrow already notched and ready to fire. "Hello again otter." He said with a slight smirk on his face.
Yet he seemed to forget that she had been traveling with a rat. Because he didn't seem to notice that the rat wasn't standing next to her.

Steelfur jumped back, and followed the arrow's path with his eyes. He groaned as Hawkeye came into view. He turned to face the weasel, and gripped his staff the same way you did before. "Don't ignore me, weasel. Else it may be your last mistake." Steelfure snarled at the weasel as he prepared to run. He wondered what Toriphess would think when he went to the ship, and didn't find his sister or the two first mates.

Upon hearing the call from Steelfur the female sighed. Her tail whipped behind her, gesturig to a few ushes off to the left, all out of eesight of Hawkeye. "What do you think me Steel!? A child? I don't need any help, although go ahead and play the kinight in shining armor if you so chose." She truly hated being compared to a child. When the taller weasel came into the clearing she smiled, her sharp white teeth poking from beneath her bottom lip, her whiskers seeming to lift as she did so. Very Sharkish indeed.
"Hello to you as well fair wease'." Tori replied with a shaky curtsy. She'd like to see his face when his paw lowered to his bow again, her black eyes narrowed, seeming to DARE him to string and fire his weapon. It wouldn't be her that ended up hurt, she knew that. As did her best fried in the world Bilge. Or Beau Cottenpaw as they were going to call him for a while. Bilge was a very vermin like name, and not very sophisticated.

Hawk glared at the otter as his grip tightened on the bow. Switching his bow from the otter to the fox he looked at the fox. "Silence fox, this doesn't concern you, this is between me and the otter." Switching his bow and gaze back to the otter he only now seemed to realize that the small rat wasn't there. Looking around he still kept his bow pointed at the otter. Yet he couldn't see the rat anywhere. Getting a little nervous he brought his bow back to the otter. "Where did the rat go?" He asked, trying to hide his concern, but his bow was shaking over so slightly as he pointed it at the otter....

(Sorry I thought it was Phessy's turn) "Whereve' he liked my dear weasel." Poor thing was shaking. Fear smelt very good especially when you were the one wit a weapon pointed at your throat. From behidn Hawkeye a thrumming started, much like the buzz of a bees wings, but this was the buzz of the rat's sling, his trusty little friend, he was a dangerous aim with it.
"now why mus' ya bother me matey?" Yes why did he insist on bothering her. Lifting one , sharpened claw she itched the gaping hoke that had once been her left ear, playing with the amethyst earring as she did so. A signal, one to hold fire. Maybe she could earn a ally, and one less headache if Bilge would wait a few moments.
Of course the cowardly rat was quite happy to stop. He didn't want to draw blood, lest he got sick. Which he almost always did.
