A Wedding Fit for Otters (Open to all good beasts)

[Tanon]

As the sun rose in the sky, bathing the legendary red stone abbey with its warm light, the beasts inside were all chatting excitedly among one another as they went about setting up chairs, preparing food and picking flowers, all in preparation for a wonderful event that would happen today. Star and Tanon's wedding.

Tanon himself was in a private room, fitting himself into a simple dark blue tunic in preapartion to putting on a crimson doublet trimmed with a dark green satin. The otter worked slowly however as he was quite nervous about how the whole occasion would turn out.

Not too far from where Tanon was dressing, Angora was helping Star into her wedding dress. A simple yet elegent design it was. A snow white sleeveless robe with the ends decorated with puffed out designs to help make it look better.

"Well today is the day when you become Mrs. Fuldrik", Angora said to Star as she worked. " How do you feel right now?"

Star was busying her mind with thoughts of Tanon, and at first didn't hear what Angora was saying. She could barely keep the tumble of emotions inside of her contained.

At Angora's question, Star tugged at her sleeve fitfully. "Incredibly nervous. Am I supposed to feel like this?" she asked, brushing back a few strands of loose hair. "I know getting married is a big step, but is one supposed feel this jittery?"

[William]

(Humm, would William be the one to preform the ceremony?)

Will smiled at Tanon as he stood next to him. He had changed his normal jacket and baggy pants for a clean deep green tunic and matching pants. Doing his best to try and comb down his unruly headfur he chuckled at Tanon. "Don't look so nervous mate, just follow what your heart tells you, you both love each other so it'll all work out." Setting the sword of martin on the table next to him he continued to try and comb down his hair. He had never been to a wedding before, and needed to look his best for his first time.

[Tanon]

Angora chuckled. "I felt as if I had a score of butterflies in my stomach the day I was married. I believe I stumbled a little bit also when I walked up the aisle. Oh that was embarrassing." She patted Star reassuringly. "So don't worry about it, I'm sure if you ask any other married beast, they'd probably say the exact same thing. This is a very big day for you, so its only natural to be a little nervous." The expecting mousewife pulled the back of the dress a little to the right, evening it out.

Tanon swallowed a light lump in his throat as he nodded at William. "Aye. But I can't 'elp it. This is the day I've been lookin' forward to. I sure 'ope I don't mess it up." He thought for a moment. "Now what am I forgettin'? Oh right! Could you pass me my trousers, William?" The otter pointed over to a chair where a pair of crimson pants hung.

((heehee, Tanon forgot his pants.... ^_^ ))

Star took a comb to her hair, pulling gently at the tangles. "I can't deny the fact that I love Tanon very much. I don't think I could be happier with any other beast." She patted down the skirt of the dress and smiled. "Do you think Tanon is as nervous as I am?"

[William]

(Humm, this should be fun . Should we wait for some people?)

Chuckling at Tanon Will passed him the pants. "Don't worry Tanon, just take a few deep breathes and just think of Star like she was a few weeks ago to you. A great friend, that way you won't think of this as what it is." He said with a slight smile. He wasn't really sure if what he was saying would help, but he couldn't do much to calm Tanon. Finally giving up on his hair he set the comb aside and looked over himself. Not great, but its the best I can do. Smiling back at Tanon he waited for him to be ready...

[Tanon]

(If you want to perform the ceremony, be my guest, William.)
((Yes... that would be quite embarrassing if Tanon went to the ceremony without that vital piece of clothing. ))

Angora shrugged. "I'm not sure, but I'll bet half my whiskers he is. Marriage is a big step in the life of any beast."

The young mousewife walked over to a table, picking up a crown of fresh white flowers with a long transparent piece of silk at the back. "I think you're ready for the head piece now." She said with a smile, offering it to her.

Tanon smiled wryly as he took the trousers from William with a grateful nod. "Thanks, William." He started to put them on, fidgeting a little. "I'm tryin' ta. But it's not really 'elpin'in gettin' my mind off this day."

After a couple more moments, he finally managed to get his trousers on, adjusting them slightly. "Hmm.. a bit tight, but not too bad." He let out a sigh as he looked into the mirror before them. "I just 'ope that I'm really ready fer all o' this. She's just done so much fer me, Will. I wouldn't be standing 'ere if it weren't fer 'er."

He paused for a moment, looking at how his outfit suited him before he went about combing his hair. "I love 'er so much. I hope I can prove to 'er that I'm a worthy husband."

[William]

(There, I made it an announcement, that should get more people in.)

Looking back at Tanon William smiled and shrugged slightly. "You both know that there is great love between you. So no matter what happens today that love will still be there. Just try to think that nothing bad is going to happen, cause no matter what she will still love you, and you still love her." Smiling at this new advice he washed his face and paws as he waited for Tanon to be ready...

Star took the veil with a smile. "Thank you so much, Angora. I don't know what I'd have done without your help." She carefully settled the wreathe of flowers over her hair, and pinned it in place. "How much long to wait?"

[Tanon]

(Wonderful! Hopefully more will show up. It will be much more exciting if there are more than just the three of us.)

Tanon paused for a moment, staring at himself in the mirror thoughtfully. "Aye." He said in reply, as he nodded and continued combing his hair. "Aye. Everythin' will be just fine."

After styling his hair into a most suitable fashion, he brushed himself off and turned to face William. A wry smile on his face. " So 'ow do I look?"

Angora smiled at Star. "You are most welcome. I really enjoy doing these sort of things." The mousewife clasped her paws in delight as Star fitted on the headpiece. "Oh Star, it looks absolutely marvelous on you! Tanon is going to swear that he's gone to heaven once he sees you."

She pondered at Star's question. "Hmm... it shouldn't be too long now I think."

[William]

(Yep, how long should we wait?)

Will smiled at Tanon as he reply ed. Finally he gave some good advise. Looking over at him he chuckled and smiled. "Like a groom. But don't be so rigid Tanon, relax a little eh?" Chuckling again he looked back down at the table next to him and looked over the small piece of parchment he had about what he had to say when both otters had said their vows...

Rose walked briskly to the room where Star was getting ready. In her paws was a beautiful bouque of White flowers. She arrived at the door and knocked. "Hello? Mrs. Star, may I come in? I have a present for you."

Star blushed at Angora's words. "I don't know about heaven, but I hope he likes it."

She turned towards the door as Rose called. "Come in, dear!"

Timidly, Rose walked into the room. "You look lovely in your dress Mrs. Star." Walking towards her, she held up the flowers for her to take. "I went and got you these. I hope you like them."

[Tanon]

Angora looked over as Rose entered the room, her eyes shining with delight as she saw the marvelous bouquet of flowers she had brought. "Oh, Rose, they are absolutely wonderful.", She said happily, clasping her paws together. "They go perfectly well with her dress." A sudden bulge from her protruding belly made the expectant mousewife gasp. "It seems I'm not the only one who thinks so." She mused, chuckling.

Rose giggled, "I'm glad," Sitting down in a chair she continued, "Are You excited Mrs. Star?"

((*Shrugs* May as well. More the merrier right?))

There was a loud rap on Tanon's door, as to be expected from the sound of wood knocking against wood. Said door opened with a slight click and through it came Rasthur hobbling in slowly with his three legged stride. He was polite enough to knock, but not quite polite enough to let himself be invited first. Still, it was quite the improvement from his previous entries.

He was blind but not deaf, he had heard the news and been informed many times to the point of annoyance and eventually decided, in one of his 'rare' moments of kindness that it was best to pay his respects to the groom.

His ears twitched in unison with his whiskers, using what other senses he had left to get some kind of perception to his surroundings. He was fairly sure this was the right room, after all, third time's a charm right?

"Tanon?" He sniffed the air some more, he could hear the breathing of..Two beasts. Another wrong room? No, one had the smell of an otter, no mistaking the scent of those river dogs, cleaned or not.
"That you, lad?" He inquired once more, keeping his paw to the wall in case he became lost once more.

Star sat down, then got back up and started pacing. "Oo, don't call me Mrs. It makes me feel so old." she laughed, then admitted, "I'm more nervous than I thought I would be. But I'm extremely happy. I can't imagine myself marrying a better otter."

She fiddled with her veil, a grin spreading over her face. "When is your babe due, Angora? He, or she, seems a bit impatient."

[Tanon]

Tanon's ears perk at the sound of the door opening, but he said nothing as the wolf entered the room until he asked for his name. "Aye, thats me." He replied gently.

Angora gently rubbed her womb thoughtfully. "I don't think it will be much longer, perhaps in a few days or so. A week at most I'm guessing, but I can hardly wait. I sure hope that I will end up mothering a daughter."

"What names have you got lined up?" Rose questioned.
