PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
As many weasel's in his age, Errot is slim and agile. His fur is brown with pale, little bit yellowish belly. He has darker markings on his face and forehead. A thick dark brown stripe runs from between his ears to middle of his back
Errot's tail is a tad longer than weasel's normally have, with black furred tip. The pup wears short trousers and sleeveless tunic with leather belt.

PERSONALITY:
Errot is a brat. Self-centered, loud and disrespectful when he chooses to be. This might or not to be his own fault as it has always been him and Knar, therefore Errot never have to learn how to share or how to compromise. (Knar is not the best beast for raising pups to be well-behaved)
Even if they sometimes come across with other beasts, Errot thinks he can behave however he wants - after all, he'll be future Grendel! - since he has Knar backing him up. And yes, Knar will always pull Errot out of the fire, before weasel-pup gets badly burn by his own thoughtlessness. But after that the youngster is in whole different kind of trouble as Knar doesn't take well irresponsible behavior. And in next training session the marten sees to it that Errot will reflect thoroughly his own foolishness. With some muscle ache and bruises.
Errot lives in illusion that he can do anything if he just puts his mind on it (another egocentric trait thanks to Knar's way of raising the pup). Because of this he sometimes does unbelievable ill-advised things. And he's a daredevil who doesn't back off from the challenge.
Sometimes Errot tries desperately be more grown-up that he actually is, as he wants to prove Knar he isn't a little kid anymore. And he could take the Bloodfang and show his father's murderer if the marten just would give him the change! He's at that age when young kids are the most impatient and rebellious.
On the other hand Errot is smart and fast learner. There are also the times when he can put aside his impatient and self-centered nature and actually behave for himself. (But usually he thinks behaving is something the sissies do).
After all the training with Knar Errot doesn't cry over every small scratch and he knows how to stand up for himself. He is unafraid of things which his age usually would be frightened of, for example killing or blood. He had seen Knar kill many times, so it doesn't scare him at all. He himself have wounded many beasts but hasn't yet ever killed anyone.
But let's not forget the fact Errot is still a kid: he likes do things kids like even though he sometimes tries to appear all grown-up. He's cheerful in his own way and he wants to explore the world and the things which interests him. He longs for company of his own age, he wants to be acknowledged by those he holds dear and wants to be cared about, no matter how much he pretends to be a badass.
HISTORY
Errot's father, Verimer Grendel was the Commander and Ruler of large vermin army like his own father (Errot's grandsire) had been. What Errot could grasp from the world after he learned how to walk instead of crawling, was that his father was a important person. And when his father spoke, everyone listened. He really didn't understand anything else besides that, but he still wanted to be just like his father. And his father promised that someday he would be.
That promise never become into fruition since Errot's banished uncle, Draggan Grendel, came back and stole the position of horde's Commander from Errot's father. It was through a treachery Draggan obtained the victory and he brutally beheaded everyone loyal to Verimer. Including Errot's mother.
Luckily, some loyal soldiers of Verimer managed to snatch both boy and Bloodfang, Errot's father's sword, away and to the safety. While the group evaded the pursuers, they came across a small group of Verimer's elite fighters, led by army's Third-In-Command, Knar. Knar was familiar face to him, as he had seen him stand many times on his father's side
Errot wa sonly five-years old when his parent's were taken from him - so he really couldn't understand what was going on. Other adults spoke a lot with Knar - argued even - but Errot was too young to understand what... But in the end Knar took him and the Bloodfang with him and left the group. And he had traveled with the martin ever since. Knar become his mentor, who taught him how to survive and how to hold a weapon. How to catch his food and how to fight. And they were always on the move, always moving from places to another. Except on winters when they might spent more time on the same place: like dwelling in an abandoned hut or hole, or joining in a small thug-gang and passing the worst snow-season in their hideout.
When Errot was old enough to understand his story, Knar explained him what had happened in that night his mother and father had died. Errot himself can't recall the events, but the memories come back to him in his dreams. He still has nightmares from that blood soaked and screams filled night - and sometimes he wakes up screaming. But in the wake there's no blood, nor his mother screaming... There's only Knar - Knar who wraps him back to sleeping and sits beside him through the night. Saying nothing, but never leaving from his side until the dawn breaks. The marten means a world to Errot, even though weasel sometimes intentionally tries to annoy him. After all most of his memories are filled by the time with Knar, the a marten that had been third-in-command of his father and grandfather. And when he was grown up and would be the Grendel, Knar would be his third-in-command too, that's what Errot says a lot (and then it would be his turn to boss the marten around!).
He just knows he's going to be the Grendel and is really excited about it, since he has romanticized it would be the sweetest ever. Having everybody do as you say! He could eat what he wanted, do anything he wanted - seriously, any kid would be thrilled about something like that.
STRENGTHS:
- Smart fellow.
- Fast runner and good climber in the kid's standards
- Knows more about weapon-handling and surviving in the wilds than most of his age.
WEAKNESSES:
- He has lot of learn about social interaction.
- Well, he's kid: no matter how hard he dries he really got no chances to overpower adults. That's why he tries to outsmart them.
- Has a habit of being an arrogant, self-important little snot.
- Can only read some simple words and that's it. Doesn't know how to write.
