Name - Nissaya
Gender - Male
Age: 18 Years Old
Species: River Otter
Occupation: Monk
Physical Appearance: Nissaya is a rather young looking otter, but his unusual pink eyes have a kindly look to them which seems to transcend his age. The one unusual thing about this otter is his fur, which is a pure white color. The whiteness of his fur is only broken by the clothing he wears, which is a sleeveless brown shirt along with sky blue pants. On top of his shirt is a sort of sky blue sash with one hole in the side where his left arm come a thick brown strap going over his right shoulder to keep the cloth up. The cloth goes down his front and back, mostly covering his shirt. The cloth tucks under a belt, a thin strip of leather, at his waist which keeps the cloth from flowing around all over the place and only leaving a little bit of cloth to flow a little further below his belt. Upon examination, Nissa can be seen to be very toned, yet still slim.
Personality: Nissaya is a rather calm and reserved otter, and he very rarely becomes angry or upset at others. He is incredibly smart and has an insatiable thirst for learning and can often be found reading books or meditating. He is very shy around others, but he is very well spoken and very respectful, so it can take work to get him out of his shell.
Strengths: Intelligent and very good at paw to paw combat as well as an immense amount of self-control. He knows how to do a good few things such as basic woodwork and healing (Including finding herbs and treating wounds as well as setting bones and the like). He is rather wise for his age, which is a perk of being trained the way he has.
Weaknesses: Stressed out easily, tends to neglect personal health to help others, lacks confidence in his abilities to the point where he could very easily decide to not do something that could have been better simply because he believes that he cannot do it. His belief that he is unnatural because of his appearance leads him to be rather anti social at times, which can't sometimes be considered a weakness, but this is more a weakness when it leads him to not seek help when he is injured, or if something is simply wrong. He can be very stubborn at times, and if he is told to take a break from something because he needs a rest or something of that sort, he will usually adamantly refuse.
History: Nissaya was born to a humble family in a village in the western mountains, but his parents, horrified by his unusual white fur and pink eyes, gave him up to the monastery in that village to be trained as a monk in hopes that this would somehow fix him. Growing up, Nissa was ridiculed by other children for his fur and eye color, but one adult monk took him under his wing, teaching him healing and fighting, though he learned far more skills through the books he constantly sought and read. Finally, when he became of age, Nissa finally left the monastery to travel, and has since found his way to Mossflower, where he wanders looking for a place to settle while feeding off of berries and roots, the likes of which he had only read about until now.
