I'll post the npc minions I make as they are introduced. One post for each important minion. Rose I know for sure will be in the story somewhere Rose "Redtail" The lizard Description: With her body covered in red scales and her underbelly decorated in gold Rose takes on the appearance of a miniture red dragon. Her often well oiled scales are covered by a small squirrel hide vest that comes down to her chest, leaving her sides, belly, and small of her back exposed. An otter hide belt wraps around the curve of her waist and above her tail, it holds up a tan cloth sash that stretches down to her knees. Her claws are soft, smooth, showing no signs of physical labor, and under her scales has grown a small but noticable layer of flesh. History/ Personality: Rose grew up alone on the streets of a large vermin city. She learned from an early age to rely on her wits and fit in perfectly as a small time thief. In time she learned to use her talents to hire herself out as a proffresional thief. For the last season or so she has taken to working for Vermillion as his personal thief, 'liberating' choice items from his enemies and even rumored to assassinate one or two of those enemies. But those are just rumors, right? Rose isn't a 'true believer' in the causes her boss promotes. But under his care she is able to live a life of ease and care will all the food, drink, and coin she could possibly want.

Wolf the grey fox Quartermaster
A grey fox with a black strip running down his back that gradually turns to grey fur across his hide. His paws and under belly are white witha small brown ring highlighting them. When off duty he wears a simple tan or red tunic with squirrel hide trousers. Uses a long sword stolen from a long patrol infantry beast.
History / Personality: A mercinary from the west lands Wolf signed on in the early years, right after Vermillion transitioned from bandit to warlord. He moved up through the ranks until he found his place as a type of Quartermaster, the beast who oversees that supplies get to where they are needed.
He is a very laid back beast with very few beasts he would call friends. His gluttonous and lazy habbits have caught up with him over the seasons, turning him into a very large, corpulant and obese fox.

DarkClaw 'Snivels' the Ferret
Description: Here is a beast who is obviously compensating for something by taking the name DarkClaw. Despite his more ferocious name DarkClaw is a very slender, lanky ferret who's height looses a few inches due to his crouched posture. He has brown fur with red paint around his black 'mask' of his face. His paws and tip of his tell are also black in color.
He is usually seen wearing a red tunic with an otter hide belt along with a red fox hide vest and boots, both made from the beast who held his job previously. When in armor he wears a leather currass that leaves his sides exposed. He is known to carry a short sword and sheild to battle.
History/personality: DarkClaw came into the world as Freddie Fredrickson the Ferret. Perhaps it was his parrents sense of humor when naming him that caused him to branch out into banditry, or prehaps simple greed.
His troop of bandits were absorbed by Vermillions horde not too long ago but since then he has rapidly rose through the ranks. His groveling and tail kissing attitude has earned him the nickname snivels, but the way that all the beasts who held the positions he had before they met their end under mysterious circomstances or have a mysterious beast come forward with evidence of their disloyalty to vermillion, has made sure no one calls him snivels anywhere but behind his back.

Nightwing Lord Cayvear
Description: Lord Cayvear is a title, not his name, sort of like Log-a-log for the shrews, but Nightwing prefers to be called Lord Cayvear. He is a large male bat, black in appearance. He is no relation to the original Lord Cayvear in Mossflower.
History/Personality. He is neutral in alignment, concerned primarily for the survival of his bats above anything else. The bats were the original inhabitants of the cavern Vermillion calls home. He is a strong leader, and his philosophy of the new inhabitants is, they don't bother us, we don't bother them, them. They are largely left alone, as they are useful to Vermillion in flying reconnaisance for him.

( )Rasilisk the Bold - Otter and right hand beast to Virmillion Rasilisk The Bold, often called Rasilisk the Hunter is an imposing beast of an otter. Under a pure dark brown hide of fur his body is sleek, well fed and trim with some muscle to his arms. He has a few scars here or there where metal met their mark. His head fur is often left ruffled while the whiskers of his snout form a sort of natural mustash. This otter wears a fox hide vest which he often leaves open to expose his chest and tummy. The vest covers most of the scars across his back. His weapons vary depending on the situation but rarely is he seen with out a cutlass and fencing dirk at his side. His waist is dorned by a fox hide sash with a pair of cloth trousers. His foot paws are left bare while his hands are covered with lizard hide fingerless gloves. History: Rasilisk is a 25 year old otter. He was banished from his home tribe for theivery at age 16 and spent the next few years of his life as a theif and eventually a bandit. at age 19 he was arrested in a vermin port city and sent to a labor camp where he was to spend the rest of his life digging rocks in a quarry. The prison wagon however was ambushed on the way by Vermillains horde, a group led by Wolf, who was still active at the time as a fighter in the horde. The prisoners were given two options. Attempt to join the horde by combat in the Arena, or live out the rest of thier lives as slaves. Rasilisk readily took the offer to join the horde and surprised many by surviving the arena unscathed. Rasilisk may not have been the best thief, but he was certainly a feircesome warrior. His asscention through the ranks from lowly foot solder to a lieutenant starled more than a few beasts. His calm directions in combat plus his fearsome tallents as a warrior make others suspect he will be the next beast to replace the deceased second in command.

Orbweaver the Rat - The seer and healer of Tribe
Description: The old rat's fur is ash-gray, slowly turned here and there white. It hangs on the seer's thin frame like a coat in too small hanger. Pair of blurry grey pools were just visible behind thick eyebrows, which grow on rat's forehead like two spiky bushes, almost covering the eyes completely out of sight. Rat has a skinny arms and their long, spiderlike fingers end in black sharp claws.
Orbweaver wears layers of robes and some of them are very worn out and shredded. In his leather pelt there are many pouches which holds herbs, powders and other elements needed in foretelling the future. There is also bones, pearls and feathers tied in strings hanging from his outfit.
Orbweaver has a cane, made of some creature's leg-bone, honed and polished so carefully that it feels smooth like the glass. A big white orb is placed as the cane's handle while the bone bends over it, keeping it fastened.
History/Personality: Mysterious and calm. He has served Lord Vermilion loyally ten sun season and his divinations have never failed even once in that time. Vermilion values his services and sometimes even listens rat's advices.
Orbweaver is older than anyone in the tribe - maybe even ancient, as some said. The rat had been an old beast already when Vermilion's horde raided his tribe. Only Orbweaver's life was spared as the rat offered to serve the weasel lord until end of his days, if the Warlord would let him live. No-one back then suspected such a feeble creature to last over next season but they were proven wrong. And now Orbweavers was highly valued in his lord's eyes. He has a pupil, female rat Zagred, to whom he has passed on his knowledge from Insight.

Thessandra Redpaw, "Thessa"
(Longer bios since - if needed - Thessa will join in the group sent to retrieve Martin the Warrior's sword)
Gender: Female Age: 17 Species: a squirrel Occupation: Resident of Redwall. Works in kitchens
Personality: A shy and timid squirrel maiden. Being a kind and caring, she would never shove harsh words to anybeasts, nor would she never want hurt someone. She's chipper and she would do anything for his friends.
He apologies easily even thought she wouldn't have to. Her small voice is easily lost in noisier Redwallers chatter, so many tend to think she is one of those quiet beasts. That's wrong assumption as Thessa would love to chat many things with others, but she dares not to interrupt them. It would be rude.
Thessa gets angry, upset and sad like any other beast, but she doesn't want to bother others with her problems so she tries to be like nothing is wrong. But because of her honest nature, she isn't very good at lying so it's quite easy see on her face when she's upset from something.
Nevertheless there is more courage in this young squirrel than she (or other Redwallers) believe. It's still sleeping deep within her, waiting its change to come out of its shell. Only some occasions Thessa's bravery and willpower come to shown and in those situations maiden is usually very mad about something.
Thessa has many ideas and his shy head is full of creativity. Too bad she channels her innovative mind in a ways that cause disorder in Abbey's Kitchen. Her greatest wish is to become amazing cook like his mother is, but to be truthful her cooking methods never work out and always end up in big failure. For example she figured out that vegetables will cook quicker if boiled in the pressure. Well, in theory she did invent physics of pressure cooker, but in practice she made a pot - with too much hot water - literally blow up. And then there was that time he wanted improve the cream cake's recipe by adding in seaweed and hotroot. The times, when she actually follows the recipes, aren't better than that: she just can't get the measurements right, always putting in too much or too little. Thessa's knows that her cooking skills are terrible - but that doesn't stop her of trying again and again. She has persistence that will not give up not even after thousandth failures.
Physical Appearance: Thessa is cute: she's a rosebud waiting for its time to bloom and no doubt she will be a real beauty in couple years time but for now she's just cute. She has bushy, long tail and her pelt is red-brown. Her underbelly is yellow-brown with hint of orange. She uses green sleeveless dresses and white cotton shirts.
Strengths: Climbing and jumping: As a squirrel, Thessa has the natural talent in climbing and jumping. Use of sling: Time and time again arrogant crows try sometimes steal the Abbey's orchard's berries, nuts and apple, so to protect their harvest, Thessa has been in thief-lookout many times, armed by a sling and back of stones. Seasons of practice has made her rather skillful sling user. Innovating mind: When she calms down and concentrates, Thessa's mind can conjure up both extraordinary and excellent plans.
Weaknesses: Cooking: Even though, Thessa's intentions are good, his cooking is bad. It's better leave her baked goods on plate as you will never know what kind of an interesting taste you'll experience while chocking on your mouthful. Objecting things: Thessa complies too easily others decisions and hardly never voices his own opinions (as it seems like no-one listen he anyway and surely others know things better than her) Too-many-irons-in-the-fire: "Now, let the pie cook up a few more minutes then take it out of stove... meanwhile I have just the time organize the spice-shelf. Oh dear, someone have forgotten dirty dishes here in table - Let's take care of them. The laundry? Yes, I can get that for you, not a problem at all! Here, its done... Funny, somehow I have this funny feeling I have forgotten something...." The main reason she fails in any recipe including more instructions than boiling up water, is because of she gets easily distracted by other things. And while he tries to multitask, she is bound to forget out something. If she just would concentrate one task at the time, maybe her cooking just might turn out to be eatable.
