No need to accept this one.
Name: Alleyah
Gender: Female
Age: 20 Years
Species: Wood Mouse
Occupation: Bellringer (?)
Physical Appearance:
Alleyah has a small sleek body, with a glossy pelt and a lean figure. Her fur is a dusty brown color, with specks of different shades of brown, giving a 'sandy' appearance. A darker streak of fur runs from the top of her head down her back. She has a white belly and black ears. Her large rounded eyes are a dark green color, shining with mischief. She has long nimble legs and tail but small paws. Her head is broad and her muzzle comes to a short point, with several whiskers shooting out from either side of her light brown nose. She is usually clothed in thin pale brown robes, designed for unrestricted mobility. She is often seen in an auburn colored cloak when the weather is poor or cold.
Possessions:
This mouse maiden usually wears a dark brown scarf around her neck, with intricate patterns etched with blue stitching; it was a gift from her mother to keep her warm and she rarely takes it off. A piece of dark leather is tied around her waist and makes for an excellent sling shot if she'd ever need it; it was a gift from her uncle. Stone gave her a small dagger, which she keeps tucked away under a bandage around her right leg; though both her legs are bandaged due to the stressful run she had to endure after her uncle was taken away. It was Stone who bandaged her up. Violet gave her a precious memento, a silver arm band; one band wraps around her left bicep, and another winds around her left forearm, both with strange writings and patterns and attached to one another with a thin loose chain.
Personality:
She is always smiling; appearing to be friendly and upbeat at all times, as if nothing could bring her down. Alleyah seems to always find something to keep her entertained, even if that might mean getting into trouble or causing trouble. She is quite a daredevil and will often takes risks and dangerous challenges. She isn't often seen lying around, as she loves to keep moving, especially when it comes to climbing. She loves to snoop and get her nose into other beasts' business. She likes to tell stories, most of which are very far-fetched and unlikely to be true. She is known as a liar, though all her lies are generally harmless and easy to detect, but it can still be troublesome and make it difficult to trust what she has to say.
Strengths:
She has a knack for getting into things, even when she shouldn't; it seems that there is no obstacle that can hold her back. She is agile, an excellent climber and a very skillful digger. Her personality allows her to concur most challenges that face her way and if she couldn't, she'd fail with dignity. She can usually squirm her way out of any problem, which is most likely due to how often she gets into trouble.
Weaknesses:
There are very few talents that she is gifted with, seeming to be cursed with bad luck at failing in most things; typically things like cooking or tracking and so on. She is small and not very strong, she also has poor eyesight. She often lies, though they are harmless, it usually makes her come across as untrusting. She is a mischief maker and it usually gets her into trouble one way or another.
History:
Alleyah has only vague memories of her past, when she had a large family, each suffering in poverty. The adults each worked and labored hard, so she saw little of her own mother, but their efforts didn't bring in very much food for the large family. Their home was a poorly built shack on the side of a creak, which didn't protect them very well against the elements.
One day a group of wild cats broke their home down and attacked the family. Alleyah could remember huge fangs, the glinting claws and weapons and jaws snapping at all the mice. It was a mass of confusion but she could still remember mothers calling to their children, fathers barking out commands, brothers and sisters rising to arms to protect and defend. It was then that an uncle grabbed her and dragged her away; it was Nildram, a very young mouse, who wasn't actually related to her, but seen as an uncle figure to many of the youngsters. He would have battle alongside his family and friends, but he was injured while working and his father ordered him to take all the children he could gather and run. Because of the confusion and his fractured arm, he could only grab Alleyah.
The two traveled through the night before Nildram decided it was safe enough to turn back, but they found nothing of their family, just ruins and remains of their home and possessions. Alleyah did not fret though, because Nildram reassured her that they were all safe. He told her stories of their family as they traveled; how their family fought bravely and defeated the beast, how they chased it over mountains and saved villagers, how they were captured by a pirate crew but soon took the ship over for themselves, and then how they got caught in a storm and crashed into an island. Nildram told Alleyah about many stories, and at the time she did not realize that they were all lies. Alleyah would never know that Nildram was too afraid to tell her the truth, and so instead he told her lies.
They journeyed far, searching for a place where they could live in peace, without hunger or fear. Alleyah's uncle was very brave and heroic, stepping into the unknown with his head held high. He taught her many things and told her many stories. He even told her about what she must do if they were separated, which would soon prove to be a vital piece of knowledge.
A group of weasels ambushed them just as the sun started to fall in the sky. Nildram had quickly hidden Alleyah right before the attack. She listened to her dear uncle's cries but forced herself to wait until they faded away, and only when night crept up on her and all was silent did she finally move. She was terrified but still able to follow her uncles instructions. Facing the opposite direction she ran as fast as she could, sticking to the shadows or climbing through the trees, until she couldn't move anymore.
It was pure luck that a hedgehog, named Stone had found her. She was exhausted, thirsty, hungry, and she had caused a great deal of damage to her legs. He nursed her back to health and brought her with him to a market place. He didn't speak much but she felt at ease in his confident presence. However, it wasn't long until he passed her along to another traveler, a merchant vole named Violet.
Alleyah was sad to see Stone go, though she never caught his name, but he had made the parting easier by giving her a parting gift. Though a bit sad, she was glad to be traveling with Violet, who was friendly and good natured. The young mouse told the merchant the stories her uncle told her and explain that her uncle had a plan if anything happened, she told her that her uncle would make a grand escape and travel to find their family and bring them all to the safe place that Alleyah was going to find for them. Violet then told her about her first destination: a huge fortress that has escaped invasion time and time again, a place that was huge and strong and sturdy; a place called Redwall.
When they got to Redwall, Violet made her sales and wished a farewell to Alleyah, who decided that she would indeed stay. The young mouse was welcomed and taught many things about Redwall. She told all of the Redwallers her stories, but after a time she soon realized that they were all lies. She didn't change much after that, in fact most would have thought she hadn't noticed, but actually she started to form lies of her own.
She was always good spirited and kind hearted and held great fascination in the structure of Redwall. She got into quite a lot of trouble and in an effort to keep her safe and out of the way, she was passed from one job to another, until she was finally left as the Bellringer; it seemed it was the only job that she didn't fail at. She has spent most of her life within the protection of Redwall since then.
