Oliver noticed something again with Zeph before they walked in, he couldn't shake a certain feeling he had, but he let it go for now. "Well my friends, 'ere we are. My 'umble abode that is Redwall. Now before I give you guys th' tour, I think we should grab a bite to eat first!" Oliver walked ahead of the three after he spoke.
"Please follow me inside th' Abbey, yore my guests now an' I want to make sure we get a nice meal before doin' anythin'." Oliver pushed opened the doors to the Abbey building. "Oh an' you'll meet some beasts 'ere while we are in, so don't be too surprised now."

Lance kept his own pace as Leon and Zeph went ahead of him. Better to let those two eat first, considering Oliver hasn't seen how much of a appetite Zeph has. He has seen it only once, but he could legitimately say Zeph once out-eaten a hare once. Lance gave a rare smile, this should get interesting.
"I'm starving!" Zeph said excitedly as he kept pace with Oliver. leon kept up as well, knowing from experience as well about Zephs appetite. He knew all the subtle signs that were given by lance, even though he didn't do much. He is a sly old beast, he'll give him that.

"Don't eat me out of 'ouse an' 'ome Zeph!" He said with a loud chuckle. Oliver guided all to the kitchens. "I'll 'ave to show you th' tapestry of Martin after we finish! We walked right by the 'all that leads to it." He said.
He looked around the dining hall seeing if anyone was around or not. "I don't see anybeast 'ere.." Oliver was unsure since he was gone for more than a day. Hopefully it wouldn't get him into trouble for not doing some of his kitchen duties.
"Well if you all would like to follow me, I can show you th' kitchens."

"Wait, we passed by the Tapestry of Martin the Warrior?!" Zeph said, he couldn't believe he just heard what he said. Leon just sighed and walked past him. "Are you going to just stand there and gawk all day?" Leon said. "No! Not when theres food involved!" Zeph went back to his cheery self and ran past Oliver in a hurry. Leon knew this was not going to end well.

It had been a long day for Flourwing, without the help from her friend Olliver in the kitchens yesterday, and now today, she had needed to really hustle to get things done on time. Chirping, and muttering to herself about how much trouble he managed to cause her even when he wasn't around. She wasn't really angry at him, just worried and hoping he had prepared well enough for leaving like that.
Huffing a sigh of relief as she finished up her work for the day, she carefully hung her apron and hat on the wall before doing up her favorite orange scarf. Working on her own now, just to get a few little things finished up, she gives a last look around to make sure all is nice and tidy. When she goes to leave she's in such a rush that she even forgets to dust off the flour in her wing feathers, Flourwing hops out the door without looking and tries to jump into flight, but something solid, mobile, and fast has gotten into her way!

Oliver chuckled at the antics before replying. "Haha! Yes, we did, but we can take a full tour in a little while." he said before Zeph ran off ahead. "Just let 'im go, Leon, 'e's like a dibbun! Hawhawhaw." He noticed Zeph pull onwards.
"Wait, wait! Slow down! I'm not sure if any beasts are inside th' kitchens still!" He knew if a certain beast was there, something bad could happen. He didn't want any mishaps, at least not right away. The group had only been inside the Abbey for fifteen minutes so far.
Oliver then stopped in his tracks from chasing after Zeph, noticing a huge crash..

Zeph squeaked in fright as he crashed into something small and covered in flour. He fell back onto his rump and finally his back, covered slightly in flour. Leon couldn't suppress a snicker at what happened. "Knew from the start Zeph would get in trouble for his antics....again." Lance said with a sigh after catching up with them at his own pace.
Lance took a look at what unfortunate beast got ran into by Zeph. "A sparra? Well, well, well....isn't this a surprise." Lance said. Leon just looked calm as and collected as usual. "Probably a most unhappy sparra after what just happened." Leon said, voicing in his statement.

Toppling onto her back on the ground, flour that had been knocked from her feathers drifted to the ground as Flourwing shook her head before looking around. "Sorry, um just so excitedee to um get out from the kitchen, um finallyee stretch um wings," Then she notices Zeph is not in a habit. "Oh um abbeyguests, Please be um welcome to Redwall, My name Flourwing, um baking assistant."
Flourwing hastily gets to her feet, brushing off her scarf, clapping off the last of the flour from her wings. "If you um have notee eaten, I umm might be able to um findee snakcs for um mouseguest, otterguest, and um...ferretguest." There is only a slight pause as she looks over the slightly scary old ferret. Just before she spots Oliver.
"Oliver?" the tone of voice does not bode well. "Ollie, um lazy Brushtail! where um you been? Do you knowee how much, um, work you leftee me when you um just took off!?" Though she sounds annoyed, Oliver should be able to tell she's not really angry, more like annoyed.

"Heh heh.. I can explain, Flourwing." He smiled, slightly nervous, hoping she hadn't said anything to the Friar. "Ya see, I was just tryin' to get somethin' from th' Woods. I ended up dosin' off near th' trees, an' then I met my friends 'ere!" He chuckled.
"I would never purposely leave you alone in 'ere my friend, I know we 'ave tons of chores every day in th' kitchens." He said reassuringly. "I just wanted to get these guys a bite to eat, maybe you can accompany us when I take our guests on a tour of th' Abbey?"
The large squirrel looked to his new friends and pointed them to some chairs. "You guys go a'ead an' make yoreselves comfortable. We will prepare lunch."

Lance justs grunts as he takes a seat, putting his pack down near him. Leon followed suit, still leaving a surprised Zeph still on the ground. It took him a minute to register what just happened. He facepawed himself and got up, brushing off flour. I'm so sorry about bumping into you." Zeph said politely bowing before taking a seat. Lance almost smiled at the manners Zeph showed. So his weeks of teaching him manners actually did do something. It took quite a while, but its a start....at least.

Holding up the facade of being upset for about 2 seconds Flourwing smiles "Ollie um at least havee good timing, tomorrow um biiig old cheese need to be wheeled out, I'm um glad you um not gone another day" That particular cheese was bigger than she was. If Oliver had been a day later things would have gone very awry.
She nods at the invitation to a tour, with her chores done for now she had free time. "Sure thing Ollie, but first um brushtail help me makee lunch." With that she curtsies to the guests as they leave to take their seats and hops into the kitchen. "Hmm, lunch, any um ideas Ollie?"

He noticed her smile and chuckled. "Hehe, you cheeky little devil; I knew you were in good spirits still."
Oliver listened and nodded. "Ah. Yes, th' big thing of cheese. Don't worry yore little 'ead missy, I'll 'ave that lifted an' wheeled out fore ya in no time at all tomorrow." He said reassuringly.
"You guys wait there now, lunch should be out in a few minutes." With that Oliver followed Flourwing into the kitchens. "Hm, what should we make? We should 'ave some leftover 'otroot soup. Maybe that with some sandwiches? I know we 'ave some fish, salted an' descaled, ready to be cooked up too. I think they'd like that. We 'ave scones fore dessert an' some cordials or ales to drink."

Zeph was obviously excited, as he waited for the food. Leon just looked bored and was trying to keep himself entertained. Lance had actually pulled down his hood and waited patiently. It was possible now to see a scar over his right eye, gotten from a battle from long ago. If one looked closely enough, they could see a small grey streak on his head. Only leon noticed the aged ferret remove his hood, and always wondered much about his teacher. Though he was a student a bit longer then Zeph, he still didn't know how Lance acquired that scar.
Lance was deep in his own thoughts at the moment. He was thinking of what to do when he retires later on. Redwall seemed like a good choice, but then he preferred being a loner. Maybe he could build himself a small dwelling somewhere nearby at least. He chanced a glance over to his two young students. He knew Leon would be a disciplined fighter, and knew he favored the javelin. While Zeph on the other hand.....he had much spirit, and kind hearted......though a bit headstrong at times. Though he would never show it, he does enjoy spending time with his two young charges.

Flourwing nods to Ollie, with all the meaning of a sharp salut. "Sounds um good to me. Hotroot, fish in um sandwiches? Cordial, and um scone foree dessert." Flourwing seems to reach the oven instantly getting it started to warm the scones, setting the soup on top so it'll heat also.
"Ollie, you um serving the cordial?" Smiling as she bustles about the kitchen like a small feathered whirlwind, she almost flies as she crosses to get out the bread for the sandwiches, sure Ollie already has ideas for the fish.

"Yup! That's 'ow it's gonna be." He replied while smiling brightly.
Oliver nodded at her next reply before going down into the cellars. He descended down the steps to the cold dark cellar room. The large squirrel stopped at one of the older barrels of cordial and smiled; it was his favorite one.
Oliver looked at the barrel which was about his size and then hoisted it up onto his shoulders. The heavy barrel's contents sloshed around as he climbed back up the steps slowly. His grip was around each side of the barrel, muscles bulging from the slight strain and weight trying to force the squirrel down.
"I got th' Cordial! Where should I put it?"

"Right um nearby Ollie, we um need getee it out with um soup." She says this as she checks to make sure the soup is about ready, Tossing a clawful of hotroot into it and stirring slowly. "Ollie, um Cordial, getee it out, I'll be out with um soup and sandwiches." Bustling about to get the bowls of soup ready and sandwiches ready. She'll follow behind Ollie just after she remembers to pull out the scones and turn off the oven. "All right Ollie, we got allee ready, mind um Helping with um trolly?"

Oliver set the cordial barrel out in the dining area with the guests before going back into the kitchen.
"Yes I'll push the trolley, don't worry Flourwing!" He said as he got behind the cart full of soups and sandwiches. "Don't forget those scones either! Don't burn yoreself either, Flourwing." he tried not to sound too worried, knowing that his friend was much better off around the hot food than he was.
The large squirrel gripped onto the handles of the trolley and started to push it slowly, so the food wouldn't spill around. He was used to this part of his duties.
"Come now, Flourwing, we 'ave 'ungry guests t' feed!"

Leon still tried to find ways to entertain himself, one in particular was to test himself at different things. Zeph on the other hand.....fell asleep and his head was laying sideways on the table, lightly snoring. Lance smirked slightly from the sight, hes always used to Zeph nodding off at the most random times when he was bored. He knew the routine down to the smallest detail.
Leon noticed Zeph was asleep and, Lance was always right in his timings, did a swift kick to the bench Zeph was sitting on. The force knocked the chair on its side and a surprised Zeph fell face first to the floor. He got up quickly and looked steamed. "Stop doing that Leon!" He said with a raised fist. "Just like before little mouse, what are you going to do about it?" Leon said with a cool face. Lance thought to himself, Let the entertainment begin.

Flourwing bustled about setting the scones on the trolly. "Umm no worry bout this'ee sparra, um feathers be thick like umm oven mitts." She's not given anymore time to fuss about it as she has to hop along behind the trolley.
The Sparrow was about to start serving when the crash caught her attention. With a twinkle in her eye, she whips a fairly hefty wooden spoon down at one of leon's paws. "He umm no need to here umm paddletailee. At Flourwing's table you um do that again and um no food served to you." The miniature kitchen tyrant has set down her law, and is dareing leon to disobey

Oliver stifled laughter for a second because he knew Flourwing meant business. He didn't want the wooden spoon. "Yes that's quite enough you two, come now, food is 'ere! Don't make me step in.."
Oliver set the rest of the utensils down and used one of the mugs to break open the top of the barrel, since he forgot to grab the metal tap earlier. "Now, everythin' is ready."
