Name: Rurisk the Slayer Gender: Male Age: 34 Species: Fox Occupation: Wanderer
Physical Appearance: Rurisk is a large fox, a natural leader due to his intimidating looks and commanding attitude. He is burly, thick across the shoulders and haunches, muscles contrary to hidden beneath his flame colored pelage. Rurisk has a blanket of fiery orange across his dorsal, black flecking spread thickly along his white tipped tail, particularly on the underside. His legs are ebony up to his elbows and hocks, fading into that striking flame hued pelt. Rurisk has a white chest and underbelly, his marking stretching from his lips, down his neck, between his front legs, and halfway across his belly. The white slowly stretched on from there, diminishing in width until the fiery fur completely covered the pearly white. His eyes are very, very green; enticing to most. Rurisk has a distinct white star on his forehead, and black tipped ears. His orange coat is flecked with a ruddy brown, particularly on his sides and the non-white fur on his underbelly, the rusty hue seen dispersed throughout the tail-fur as well.
Rurisk wears a tattered pair of brown shorts, ripped and torn at the distal regions. The piece of clothing is usually washed in the river every now and then, but definitely bleached by the sun and stained by countless drops of blood, or mud and dirt of course. Rurisk wears no top, but has an amazing brown cape, the same hue this fox's pants were when first sewn; a dark, solid chocolate tint. It is thin, but a thin layer of bees' wax was hand plastered over the top half to keep water out when it rains. The cloak has been worn down though, the beeswax coating slowly rubbing away and the cloth not holding out nearly as much water as it used to. It is very large, like blanket status, and it can cover his whole body (barely though) to keep him warmer or dryer. When trekking, he usually wraps the bottom half, any piece below his waist, and tucks it into his brown eel-skin belt (which has three loops on his left side, and two loops on Rurisk's right side).
In his first left loop, he keeps his broadsword, made of a light metal but still large and unwieldy for the inexperienced. Rurisk is very good at wielding his sword, but is resourceful. He finds it difficult to use lighter or heavier armaments, always keeping his prized weapon close. In the next loop down, he keeps a straight bladed dagger; mid-sized, but thick, just as his broadsword. In the last loop on his left side Rurisk has a poison-tipped, straight bladed knife (that he usually stabs with, not throws). He can conceal it easily beneath the long flowing cloak along with his other shorter weapons.
On the two right looks, he has two bow-bladed knives. One curves to the right, the other to the left (these are usually his throwing knives). This foxes knives, daggers, and sword all have brown eel-skin hilts, a good sized green jewel as their pommels (The size of the jewel according to the size of the knife. Not overly large that it is hard to wield, but rather proportional.). Rurisk has brilliant weapons, much better than the clothing on his body.
Possessions: Broadsword -- Brown eel-skin hilt with green jewel pommel. Dagger -- Brown eel-skin hilt with green jewel pommel. Poison-tipped knife -- Brown eel-skin hilt with green jewel pommel. Blade, bowed left -- Brown eel-skin hilt with green jewel pommel. Blade, bowed right -- Brown eel-skin hilt with green jewel pommel. Brown pants -- Stained and sun bleached with frayed edges; tattered and worn. Brown cloak -- Solid chocolate brown, worn coating of beeswax to keep water out. Brown eel-skin belt -- self explanatory
Personality: Rurisk is a very intelligent fox, not one to slip things by or to lie to; he has his ways to figuring things out. His strength is particularly with battle strategies as far as the smarts go, but he isn't stupid in all other aspects. As always, foxes are clever, sly; Rurisk is no different. This one, although hard to trick him, he is a trickster himself and very hard to catch doing things behind your back. He is a loyal beast, no doubt, and he will practically never throw others under the bus to save his pelt (making him a favored beast among hoards), but he is charming enough to escape a leader's wrath. Rurisk does care of his allies, though only to gain support. He is ambitious, hoping to own an army of his own, but he takes his time. Impulsive beasts are the first to die, and rash decisions are usually futile. Some find him a bold creature, but with his support and loyalty, no one has yet banished him (or murdered him, obviously).
Although good things were mentioned about Rurisk, the majority of his personality is derogatory; the usual with bad beasts. Rurisk is secretly selfish, not so blunt and honest, constantly speaking lies to keep his comrades and himself (mostly) safe. Rarely he does lose his temper, but when he does, Rurisk goes into fits, smacking rumps with the flat of his sword, threatening the lower ranks with blasphemy and deadly swings of his weapon, but only when he finds out a liar, cheater, or traitor is among his allies. He is unpredictable and easy to agitate, hated among innocent beasts as well. He has ravaged homes of good creatures, and has had no problem doing so. He avoids killing, despite being a vermin, and usually prefers to spare lives and horrify with intimidation.
Physical Strengths: *Strong *Nimble *Stealth
Physical Weaknesses: *Low Stamina *Favors blades; can't use arrows or slings to save his life (literally).
Mental Strengths: *Intelligent *Canny *Bold *Great charisma among fellow vermin
Mental Weaknesses: *Selfish *Unstable attitude (unpredictable) *Easy to anger *Unforgiving *Uncongenial to innocents *Not honest *Liar
History: Rurisk was raised by his father, abused constantly, attitude hardened like his callousing paws as he trained for battle. His father wished him to be a leader, not tossed into one of the lower ranks of a hoard. According to his intentions, Rurisk did join a hoard and bumped up to captain really quick after him and his father being recruited to serve under a sea-faring leader. His father was the one in the lower ranks, jealous of his son and wished after a short period of time that he had young marrow and boldness as his offspring. Rurisk's father hated his guts as Rurisk got more powerful, but the ship wrecked on the far northern coast, the young fox and a few others being the survivors, and the leader locked in his private room, drowned. Rurisk decided to travel south and pillage homes where the grass was green, not dead and dried in the north. He didn't care that his father was one of the floating carcasses on the waves.
On his journey, he met a myriad of creatures, picking and choosing the personalities he favored, and those he despised. He ended up killing a couple of older white falcons, speckled with brown near an abandoned forge where he found his brilliant set of weapons, along with other treasures that a beast couldn't take. After reaching Mossflower, he plundered much more, loving how talented he was with stealth and slyness. He left everyone with remnants of food, stripped of weapons with cuts and scrapes, and sometimes, a dead comrade.
Now, Rurisk wanders around Mossflower, attacking here and there, somewhat hoping to get recruited yet again. Every now and then he gets lonely, but never shows his emotions. He has become so good at covering things up, that he actually covers up his feelings much better than most. Rurisk sneaks around Mossflower Wood, striking here and there, then disappearing among verdigris foliage in an eye-blink of time.
Relationships: Enemy to most innocent creatures!
Other: Will work more on history and/or rest of bio as time goes on. I just want to get him accepted soon. (:
