Name: Itsas Kabat
Gender:Male
Age:30 years old
Species: Weasel
Occupation: Marine in Obsidious Bane’s Navy
Physical Appearance: Of average height for his species, Itsas does not appear to be imposing, or any different than any other hordebeast. He is covered in light brown fur and a slightly lighter underbelly. For clothing, Itsas is most often seen wearing a dark blue tunic underneath a coat of riveted mail. Belted at the waist, he wears a short cutlass and a dagger, both made of bronze, in a sheath on his right side. On his left, a brass bugle hangs on a red cord, to signal his marines. On his head, Itsas wears a mail hood, coupled with an open-faced, blue crested helmet. Under the mail, a yellow scarf is worn, both to protect his neck and create an instantly recognizable color on the battlefield. Across his chest is a light blue sash with five plumbatae tucked into it and crossed under it a tan haversack for carrying rations and possibles. Itsas also carries a rectangular blue colored shield, much the same as his comrades’ into battle.
The most recognizable features about him however are his eyes. They are a regular enough dark shade, however, they reveal much about him. Cold, merciless, with no sympathy for failure. He does, however, have myopia and requires a set of glasses to see much of the world.
Possessions:
Dark blue tunic
Coat and hood of riveted mail
Bronze cutlass
Bronze dagger
Brass signaling bugle
Faded yellow scarf
Iron and lead plumbatae
Light blue sash
Tan haversack filled with various odds and ends
Light steel buckler
Two sets of spectacles made of glass and rimmed with brass. When not in use, they are stored in a hard wooden case.
Bronze helmet crested with blue bristles
Sword belt and baldric
Personality:
Itsas is, by definition, a psychopath. He feels little to no empathy for others, and no remorse for his actions. He often shirks blame and embraces glory, even if he had no connection to it. Itsas is often seen as cold at first glance, which is spot on considering he views his own marines as little more than tools with which to fight. His only reason for protecting or caring for another beast is if it benefits him. He is selfish, and has serious difficulty understanding how his actions affect others.
Strengths:
Itsas is very skilled in the art of amphibious assault, both taking part in the landing and planning it out.
Itsas is a powerful swimmer and can stay afloat in full gear for hours
Because he cares little for the actual beast inside the armor, Itsas is an excellent commander. From the point of winning, that is.
Though not particularly skilled in the sword, dagger, or other weaponry, Itsas is a decent fighter should the need arise.
Weaknesses:
Itsas has a complete lack of empathy, making any positive relationship almost completely impossible.
His myopia leaves his vision blurry and unfocused without the use of his spectacles.
Though he is currently loyal to Obsidious Bane, Itsas is ultimately loyal to only himself.
Itsas’s leadership is at its strongest during lightning fast raids close to the water. Though he has experience fighting inland, he is neither comfortable with it, nor skilled. He avoids land campaigns like the plague.
History:
Itsas was raised in a small cabin near the Eastern Sea. He was born to a rather strange mother and father, considering that they were both fairly decent. His father had had a career as a hordemember in his early days. However, the only items that remained from this time were a rusty spear, shield, and a sword, which hung over the mantle. Itsas was given an excellent early life, never going without food, always able to spend time with his parents, who farmed a small patch near the home. Itsas was, in most terms, a good child, but, his idyllic childhood rapidly fell apart.
One calm summer, Itsas’s twelfth, Itsas was playing in the woods. Soldier, as he always did. His father had showed him spear moves one night when a fresh barrel of ale loosened his tongue. After all, it had seemed innocent enough. And for a time, it was. Itsas defended his home from imaginary hordes that would cause goodbeasts harm.
On that day, however, his playing took a decidedly odd turn. It started out with him defending the farm from forces of evil, ferrets, rats, and even weasels. But, then, he decided that it might be more fun to mount a mock attack on the farm. He alternated throughout the afternoon, fighting for good, and for evil. It was growing dark when he realized that he enjoyed fighting for evil more than good. The sun had finally set when he heard his mother call from the house. Itsas wanted dearly to stay and play, but, instead, he turned and walked back to the house.
That night, his sleep was troubled by images of him attacking goodbeasts. Instead of being revolted, his sleep was only troubled by the action of the dream. He awoke, tilled the fields in the morning, and went into the woods to play again, this time, with a young mouse named James from just down the road.
They started much the same as he had the day before, fighting evil. And again they cycle shifted to switching sides. The decision was made that Itsas made a better horde member, while James made a better defender. After some time spent playing like this with wooden swords, spears, and shields, Itsas looked up to the house, and was surprised to find his parents had went to the furthest field away from the house to till it. Leading the way, Itsas went into the house and grabbed the weapons. He gave James the sword and shield, while he took the spear and a rusty old helmet.
They played for some time, using trees as targets before they finally turned to each other. They made the decision to move slowly, and fought out impressive battles in the woods. After several rounds, James proved to be the victor in many of them
It was at that moment that Itsas’s life was destined to change forever. He picked up his spear And threw it at the gap between the shield and the sword. Itsas had struck a perfect blow to James’s chest, which now bled profusely. He saw movement through the trees at the house, and he suddenly remembered that he had his father’s equipment, that hung in the most prominent place in the house. He felt his father’s anger long before he heard the shout from the cabin. He looked over at James, who was still struggling for breath, and felt something deep inside himself. James’s plea turned into a question as Itsas picked up the fallen sword and pointed it at James’s throat.
“You lost.”
He cleaned the sword off and set it down gently, instead grabbing hold of the spear. He pulled it out of his once friend and stabbed it into the dirt, cleaning it. Wordlessly, he picked up the fallen items and walked back to the cabin, where he faced his angry father, who questioned him about where James was.
“He went home.”
Itsas was disciplined and sent to bed without supper.
That night, he was overcome with rage at his father and his “unfair” rules. So again, he picked up the spear and this time, killed his father. He left, that morning, before his mother woke up. Carrying his father’s equipment away from the rising sun. On his first day alone, he met a traveler on the road, a hedgehog. He promptly robbed him and continued on his way, carrying a now ample stock of provisions. The hedgehog did not survive.
Itsas eventually reached the western coast, where he decided to turn north. A short distance north, he encountered a small vermin band, about twenty strong. They quickly recognized Itsas for what he was. A merciless and efficient leader. Together, they travelled for around seven years before they ran out of goodbeasts in their area to plunder.
They set out north, plundering and robbing all the way. One day, however, another great change was in store for Itsas. On that day, his band encountered a Stormhold patrol. The band was quickly brought into the army of Stormhold. Itsas did not mind either way. As part of the larger army, he quickly showed his worth to the officers and was selected to be a new captain. However, just as soon as it was offered, it was taken away. A newer recruit had caught the attention of the officers.
Itsas snuck into the barracks in the dead of night, and this time, with a sword, killed the recruit.
Itsas was given the captain position, which he took with satisfaction. This entitled him to visited Stormhold’s library, where he learned of methods an army could be deployed with. The one that caught his eye was amphibious assault, particularly its ferocious speed and total surprise to the enemy. He brought this up with the other captains, who gave him a small group, twenty strong again, of the weakest soldiers. They were considered a joke, laughed at as they travelled to either the river or beach to train.
Itsas was as merciless in training as he was in battle. He trained his “marines” night and day, forcing them to build small landing boats, then making them paddle them, and finally land from them. The marines developed their skills remarkably well, and in five years time were a fighting force to be proud of. More soldiers were trained as marines, eventually swelling their numbers to one hundred and fifty. They were no longer a joke, to most, at least.
One holdout, a captain named Splittscale, a stoat who repeatedly ridiculed the marines. There was little that they could do, Splittscale was well known to be very close to Obsidious Bane. He was an excellent fighter, and commanded one of the strongest platoons. Itsas despised him, but bid his time.
Eventually, the marines were officially recognized during a training exercise. A heavy fog had set in that day, and the marines were shrouded in it just off the coast. The bulk of the army was fighting on the beach, using wooden weapons. The marines had been assigned to fight for the army dressed in blue. They had paddled out early in the morning, before anybeast had seen them, and lay in wait. As the blue army began faltering, Itsas gave the order to advance. With break-neck speed, they slid onto the beach and into the fray. When a stoat wearing captain markings led a red group deep into the marines, while Splittscale viciously smashed the training sword into Itsas’s marines, Itsas picked up and fist-sized rock and threw it, hitting Splittscale in the side of the head.
“You lost.”
Itsas drove the wooden cutlass as fast as he could into the side of Splittscale’s neck. His marines were shocked. Slowly, however, they began to cheer his name. The marines and their blue swept the field of the red army, who had no idea that, behind the wall of boats, their leader was actually dead. The performance of the marines was all it took to raise their status. They were given distinct uniforms, and Itsas was placed at their head. Now, after five years of rigorous training, the marines are the most capable amphibious unit in the known world. They deploy with speed and precision, striking before the enemy is aware of it. With Itsas as the leader of a two hundred strong party of marines, they seek out Obsidious Bane’s enemies and destroys them with the same ruthless efficiency their leader is infamous for. Itsas shows no mercy, gives no quarter, and kills with the same cold heart that was awoken one summer day, all those years ago.

Interesting fellow. Although, why does he use bronze weapons?

Bronze doesn't rust as readily as iron or steel. Considering he spends the majority of his time in or near the ocean, he doesn't have to maintain it as much as he would a steel sword.

He'd be a fairly significant disadvantage if he was fighting an opponent with a steel blade though.

I'd like to see another significant weakness. I don't really see loyalty to himself negatively impacting him in any meaningful way.

I've edited the profile and added another weakness to the list.

Ok. I would condense and summarize the history, and leave the narrative to one of the threads describing his backstory. Otherwise, looks good. Also, Obsidious Bane plot is still around, it was just on hold because most of the players involved with it weren't active. If you wish to revive it, by all means do so.
Hope that helps.

I've cut the history down. I didn't realize quite how long it was getting when I first wrote it. Thanks, Rausaro!
