Physical Appearance:
Ferno is an average sized ferret with a bit more than average muscle. His most prominent feature is his light blue colored right fang. He has light brown fur with dark brown patches on his paws, tail tip, and around the eyes. His Right eye is a golden colour and has a black, slitted pupil, while the left eye is gone and has three scars across it, which he wears an eye patch over. He wears a tan tunic and a black adderskin belt going around his waist and chest. He also wears a red cloak and a black tricorn hat with gold trim.
Possessions:
Ferno has a sabre which he keeps at his side, a knife, a crosstree spear with three tips, and a bolas that he wears as a necklace.
Personality:
Ferno makes his living off of lies. He delights in undermining powerful beasts. He'll work for two armies simultaneously and lie to them both, making them kill each other and take all the rewards. He learned all his weapon skills from Zade Zeckla, slavemaster on the Bluefang, and learned most of his slaving skills from him as well. If anybeast discovers his plans, he quickly removes them.
Strengths:
He's a good swordsbeast. Deceitful. Stealthy. Good sailor.
Weaknesses:
Emotionally broken. Compulsive liar. Paranoid. Suspicious of everybeast.
History:
Ferno was born to a ferret corsair, Falgren Bluefang, who was from a tribe of ferrets in the north that were based on a large hill surrounded by assorted evergreens and with a laburnum tree on the peak. One day, Falgren left because there was a famine, the chief of the tribe died, and few ferrets survived. He then obtained a ship and named it Bluefang after himself. He began slaving, and continued for 20 seasons. After a while, he found a mate and she had a son, Ferno.
Ferno was an obedient son. Unfortunately. His father taught him, "If a creature is weaker than you, enslave them!" He went by this most of his life. He started working at 12 seasons and his favourite slave to abuse was a hare named Paul. He spent most of his time bullying the crew members and abusing the slaves. The one crew member was the rat slavemaster, Zade Zeckla. He was a violent and malicious beast who taught Ferno slaving skills and the art of swordplay.
The middle part of his life wasn't too interesting, He basically just enslaved creatures. When he was 22, Paul rallied the slaves and they killed most of the crew including Falgren and burned the ship. Ferno escaped with 14 of the crew on a life boat. They went to shore and immediately searched for a new ship and crew. He bought a ship and named it Laburnum, and gained a crew. His first mate was a fox named Hilte Greypaw and his bosun was a stoat named Freyg Platil.
He took to slaving again, but not for long. Two seasons later, Freyg was leading a foraging party and never came back. The ship was then caught in a storm, when it hit a wave and Ferno's spear fell backwards and slashed out his left eye.
The Laburnum crashed on the north shore and many of the crew survived. They traveled around and found the location of the ferret hill, which had been long abondoned, and began construction of a fort surrounding it. They stayed in secclusion for awhile, then Ferno heard of a new power rising in the North, Obsidious Bane. Half of the crew, including Ferno and Hilte, ventured over to Bane's fortress to apply to his army. The rest stayed at the fort, continuing construction and gathering a small army of about every type of vermin but rats. Ferno and Hilte worked their way up to captain status, secretly planning schemes to eliminate Bane and take the fortress.
