Name: Talia Deathstripe Gender: Female Age: 19 years and 0 seasons Species: Squirrel Occupation: Swordsman, Blacksmith
Physical Appearance: With a black pelt and a lean body, Talia is fit for what may seem hard to others. Her black fur has arbitrary ginger specks spread throughout her coat, and she has a white stripe down her forehead. Seeing a black squirrel is about 1 in 10000, though seeing such an unusually marked one such as her is even more unheard of.
Talia has two blue eyes, usually emotionless around strangers, leaving the other creature with a bland, bleak gaze. Her left eye is cloudy, and becuase of that her vision is blurred. Her build is rather lean, as most females are smaller and thinner than the males of the species. Because of her build, her lean body gives her the opportunity of a faster pace than many creatures of her size, though all squirrels are fairly fast. Talia’s shoulders are narrow, as well as her hind, and her limbs are strong and long, allowing her a lengthy gait. She is well balanced because of her fine conformation, but she is a little heavier at the shoulder, providing a stronger blow in battle.
Black but slightly sun-bleached, Talia’s cape is her main attire. It is light and beneficial, giving her easy maneuvers when onslaughts are necessary. Under her cape, she wears baggy, weather-worn pants and a ripped up top. Her pants are a dark, navy blue though the pockets are worn down. The left pocket has a large hole, rendering it useless. Talia’s shirt is forest green in color, and has rips and tears throughout it, as do the pants. Around her waist lies a leather strap with loops fit for carrying weapons.
Talia is not perfect. Scars and scratches cover her hide because of the past encounters with vermin and other harsh folk, but she managed to counter-attack worse than a simple gash on the side or nick on one paw. Her fur hides her scars, but not entirely. One could pick out a faint mark on her, but rarely does anyone say anything.
Possessions: Tucked in her leather belt, Talia’s treasured sword lies hidden. With a black leather hilt and a round, blue gem beneath the handle, her blade receives greedy looks of many who slap eyes on it. Hand crafted by this black squirrel herself, the sword is one made of Iridium-the strongest, rarest, densest, lightest metal known to all. Her main weapon came from an asteroid that fell from the sky.
Sometimes a sword can’t help in long distance fighting, thus Talia holds a sling at her waist. Pebbles and other stones are plentiful in some places, and she has a strong arm because of her exhausting practices with sword-fighting. The ropes are hand sewn by Talia, constructed with many durable yet thin (many where cut thinner) vines found on multiple voyages. The pouch is made of a thin wooden cup that was hand carved by Sukara. The wood is ebony, and the vines are a vibrant green, growing more bronze as the life seeps out of the thin vines.
Because there are some jobs that must be done quickly and silently, Talia makes many natural weapons such as wooden daggers carved by a small knife held beside her sword. The dagger's points are dangerously sharp for wood. The knife is nothing fancy, just a little blade Talia made in her abandoned forge in the south. The wooden utensils are held close to the sling, and the blades are held further from the sling to prevent damage to the vine ropes.
Personality: Talia is a survivalist, and a born warrior. She is talented in the arts of blacksmithing as well as battle, and her skills are perilous at times. Though, despite her talents, she is one of kindness-beneficial to all that own a good heart. Her personal weapons are made by her, and she continues to create new things-whether it is a shelter for the night, or climbing gear for those tricky cliffs by the ocean-side. As figured, Talia is a creative soul; one of perilous and helpful skills as well as a creature of protection. Talia helps all those who need her aid. She is a cheerful soul, not one of ambition or evil.
Taila is violent in battle, and one of the reasons is that she suffers of blood-wrath in the bigger of battles. Because of her already courageous nature, she becomes unstoppable in a world of slaughter. She becomes oblivious of her wounds, and as the battle rages on, she becomes more insane. Every fight she fights, Talia takes a risk in being lost in the blood-wrath, but rarely does a small band of vermin raise her anger to the dangerous ‘disease’. But be aware vermin, every wound makes her weaker-she can't live forever.
Strengths: Courage-Though at times dangerous, courage can also be a benefit. Courage can create perilous beasts, such as the Long Patrol Hares, maybe a badger lord. Talia is a great example. In battle, she will spill her heart for the ones she cares for, or the ones she believes to be worthy of her aid.
Swordsman-Talia is excellent with the sword. After days, weeks, months, and years of practice, she lives to protect and fight.
Durability-Because of her long, grueling voyages, Talia managed to gain some stamina and durability over the years. Not completely oblivious of dangers and harsh climates, yet still ever-willing to take on a difficult challenge.
Weaknesses: Stubbornness-Courageousness and stubbornness walk hand in hand. Talia manages to get herself in the worst positions because of her attitude. In battle, it could be the death of her.
Bow and Arrow-Although a good swordsman and a decent arm for slinging stones, Talia is has poor talent with the bow and arrow. She never could do well with it, and probably never will do well with it.
Short-tempered-Talia is very short-tempered, though she manages to control it partly. Her words tend to get sharp and her face is constantly rigid with anger when someone or something gets on her nerves. She usually gets smart-mouthed with her words which mostly upsets many beasts.
Cloudy Eye-Due to her left eye being 'cloudy' yet not completely blind, causing her sight to be blurred, Talia hates beasts approaching her from the left.
History: Talia was about 12 when her mother, father, and two brothers started to travel to this place called Redwall in Mossflower. They were far north, and the lands were rough-far too rough for two young boys. Though Talia was enjoying the challenge, she was forced to follow her parents and siblings to the peaceable place.
Their camp was set up on the outskirts of Mossflower due to the blanket of night covering the sky quicker than the large family could travel. They were forced to set up a fire to warm themselves. Talia's father was an excellent blacksmith as well as swordsbest, and they used to live in his forge. She watched how her father created nifty designs with weapons found around the area. She started to do her own blacksmith works though a friendly bird warned the family of vermin coming their way, and also of the tranquil Redwall. Weeks before the bird even came, Talia's father also started to take her through simple methods of swordsmanship after crafting her a beautiful silver sword with an eye-catching blue gem on the end of the black leather hilt. Being the talented teacher and warrior her father was, the young squirrel learned quickly. On their trip is when her father passed down the most cherished of skills.
Anyways, they made the harsh journey, constantly hiding from every possible threat they could pick out. They camped in a little dirt clearing with bushes surrounding the east side, and trees surrounding the bushes as well as the rest of the clearing. When they went to sleep that night, vermin attacked them. Mostly unarmed, the family was slaughtered; though without a fight. Her father managed to take some of the very large group down with him, and Talia only managed to take down a few before they surrounded her and took her as a slave. The leader enjoyed how unusual she looked, and how scared and miserable she was.
Talia was worked hard in the slave camp, and given little food and water. They were harsh on her, and Talia grew harsh as well. Being as intelligent as she is, Talia found a way to get out of the locks and chains they put her in. She left every night to practice with a long stick, pretending it was her long-stolen sword. She created her own moves, as well as using her father's moves he so carefully taught her. Talia's tough exercise in the day and exhausting training sessions at night took up all her sleeping time. She always came back thinking one day she will take her revenge on the vermin.
That one day came, when she stole back her sword, slaying the vermin who held it. She sneaked out, managing to hide her tracks fairly well. She had a head start, and out of shear anger, she managed to get very far away. Fighting that many vermin would be suicide, and she still had other creatures to protect besides herself.
Talia vowed to protect all good creatures from evil as long as she lived-and as long as she knew about it. Now, Talia roams the lands in search of the vermin horde who stole her family. She sees herself fit enough to lay waste to at least part of the large army. Talia has spent years planning and practicing for the moment when she will enter the foul one's fort.
Relationships: Mother-Deceased Father-Deceased Two Young Brothers-Deceased Friends-Gone
Other: The song that fits her the best is Not Afraid by Eminem. Her last name was created by her.

Looks pretty good, just two things:
She's too powerful. I want you to add another weakness, and I want it to be one that REALLY affects her. I would prefer it be a strong physical weakness of some kind, but if you think of something else, I'll -consider- it.
Also, it's unlikely she would be such an amazing swordfighter without some kind of training. Just watching vermin (who aren't historically epic fighters anyhow) use their weapons doesn't seem enough for me. Either she should still be in a learning phase, or find a way in her history for her to have received some real training.
Otherwise, looks good. =)
