Name: Silas Hawkeye
Gender: Male
Age: 19 Years, 3 seasons
Species: Red Squirrel
Occupation: Traveling entertainer, trick shot with Bow and Arrow
Physical Appearance: Silas is a squirrel of above average height, with well-kept russet fur and dark brown eyes with a youthful gleam held in their depths. His body is lean and sinewy from a life lived upon the road, one or two chance scars beneath his fur more caused by his own adventurous nature than anything else. His tall stature and fair complexion leads to a welcoming sight, often when he smiles, an expression of youthful exuberance unaware of the more difficult trials of life. In more agreeable weather the squirrel can be found wearing a white tunic with rolled-up sleeves, over which a green vest is worn. Dark green trousers are also present, tied around his waist with a simple bit of rope, with his traveling pack matching the dark green color on his back.
Possessions: Among the most prominent possessions Silas carries with him are a shortbow of yew, the handle wound in leather, a small utility knife sheathed into a makeshift bark scabbard, a quiver of arrows, and a traveler's pack, filled with provisions, a piece of flint, a hefty canteen, a small iron pot and pan with adjoining cutlery, a bedroll, a canvas sheet, and a small coil of rope.
Personality: At most times, Silas is a quiet and thoughtful fellow, willing to play the part of a humble traveler and listen readily to anybody who would talk to him. Not one to boast or seek out a fight, the squirrel would rather solve quarrels and address problems with a calmer perspective. However, the squirrel can be known for bouts of fidgeting, restlessness, and would overthink certain details that wouldn't particularly matter to him in the long run. He also favors a reclusive life at times, partly because of traveling alone so long.
Strengths: An excellent shot with bow and arrow, very focused on problem solving, and a loyal friend to anyone in need.
Weaknesses: Not particularly experienced in the nuances of actual combat, and can be both obsessive and reclusive at times.
History: Silas started life in a tiny squirrel community near the River Moss, born during one of the many summer storms encountered in the woodlands. He grew up as an apprentice to his father, a skilled carpenter who helped build and repair the settlement, and as a result he developed his own skills as a laborer, learning the trade. However, it would be his mother who would lead the young squirrel to a life of travelling, despite her own position as a housewife. Throughout his childhood she had told him tales of the family's ancestors, formidable warriors and adventurers in the dark days of Mossflower's past. He grew quite fascinated by the stories of heroic quests, much to the consternation of his father, who himself had hung up his sword long ago in exchange for a more peacable life. A widening gap developed between father and son as the years passed, until the squirrel became so resolute and headstrong that he left his home to explore the world. He ended up trading for a bow and arrows the first chance he got, and trained himself while wandering through the wilderness, discovering his hidden talent hinted at by his surname. However his dream of questing would ultimately be short-lived; the squirrel barely had any knowledge of survival on his own in the wild, or traveling at all for that matter. It was in his meandering through Mossflower wood that he came upon the idea of displaying his shooting skill to a crowd who would appreciate the talent, even in times of peace. With each settlement he visited, the more elaborate and precise his performance became, until he was almost assuredly a top-notch archer, largely abandoning his former life as a carpenter's apprentice. Today, Silas still travels the land, earning food and bed by performing feats of accuracy and speed with his bow and arrows, leading a more managable life than a true warrior in peacetime.
Relationships: Other than his parents, Silas has made a few friends in his travels, though the necessity of traveling to new venues has prevented him from keeping in touch with them.
