Physical Appearance:
Merce is an albino, with stunning white fur and blood red eyes. He is thin and wiry, with little or no fat on his body. Merce wears a black knee length tunic with sleeves only a few inches long for maximum mobility. He wears black boots that though tough, are light so that he may retain his agility while wearing them. He also wears a black cape for effect when confronting a victim. The cape is often shed before battle as it would decrease the mobility of the mercenary. He also wears elbow high black gloves mostly for show, though they have their uses as well.
Possessions
Merce's main weapons and prized possessions are an ebony handled sword and dirk which he carries in his belt. Inside pockets in his tunic he stows four knives, which can be used for throwing or stabbing. In his sleeves, in hidden sheaths, he carries two slightly longer daggers. All his weapons have stunningly white blades and black handles. Dyed by paint, or other means, it is not known. He also has a bow, and a quiver of black flighted arrows, often poisoned.
Personality:
Merce acts extremely snobby, believing himself to be the best in his field. He picks on those weaker than him, and loves to torment people. He is hard to anger, seeing himself as above such emotions. He has an annoying laugh, which he displays often. He is crafty, able to think of brilliant schemes, but sometimes lacks common sense. (He would not get along well with a mole.)

Knife throwing: Merce can throw knives very well and hardly ever misses his target.
Paw-to-paw: Merce is skilled at marshal arts and can fight unarmed and disarm easily.
Agility: Merce is springy and agile. (He can do back-flips

History:
Vikenti was born far north-east of Redwall in the cold realm of Syrea. His father, Vadim Whitedeath, was a fierce warrior and the king of the nation. His mother was a seer, a dabbler in the dark arts. Despite her strange powers, she was gentle, in stark contrast to Vikenti's father. Vadim trained him in the art of war, combat, and weaponry, while his mother protested. She tried to teach Vikenti her art, but she could find no seer powers in him. Vikenti has a brother and a sister, and though the are all twins, Vikenti was born first. Vadim wanted Vikenti to become king when he died, something with Vikenti hated. He did not want to be bound to a kingdom, forced to make laws and control nobles. He left Syrea and traveled south to Mossflower. He changed his name to Merce to remove his ties to his former life. He decided never to go back, but traveled through Mossflower, working for pay and food.
