Daisy is far too small for her age. Years of starvation has stunted her growth to the point where she looks more like an eight year old than a fourteen year old. She is undeniably Esme and Iris's younger sister, though, despite the rags that she has no choice but to wear.
Daisy has a lot of scars, but they aren't anywhere near as bad as Iris's, as her sister has taken the worst of the beatings for her.
Possessions:
The only thing that Daisy owns is the rags that she wears and nothing else.
Personality:
Daisy is incredibly sweet and innocent, despite the harsh life that she has had. Unable to make even the slightest noise, she still somehow manages to find things to smile about, even in the midst of a vermin horde.
She hangs onto the tales Iris tells her of their elder sister, idolizing what little information that Iris has been able to give her, building Esme up in her mind into something much more than she really is.
When Daisy makes a friend, it is with the ease of the innocent and naive, fast and firm. Because of this, she is very protective of her friends, and will do anything she can to make them smile, no matter what the situation may be.
Strengths:
Her innocence is a bit of a double sword for Daisy. On one hand, it helps her to see the good in any situation, no matter what the situation. Another strength is her ability to sign what she wants to say, which Iris then translates for her.
A third strength is, like her sister, her determination to survive and to see the outside world as a free creature once more.
Weaknesses:
The other side of her innocence, unfortunately. Because of it, Daisy can't always see the evil of the vermin around her, and Iris has to fight all the harder for her because of it.
Her emaciated state keeps Daisy in a constant state of weakness, and even after she is freed, she is likely to stay a very small ottermaid because of it.
Finally, there is the fact that she is unable to speak. Because of this, Iris has created a 'voice' for Daisy, but can only use it safely if she's nearby.
History:
Daisy was just four years old when she, Iris, and their mother Lily was taken captive by vermin. Their father was killed in the attack, leaving Esme as the only member of the family to be free.
Just a few days later, their mother was killed by the vermin, leaving Iris and Daisy to survive alone. Every time that the vermin has made camp, Iris has helped Daisy to leave a mark, that of a daisy flower, wherever Esme could find it if she was following them, usually with a sharp rock in the bark of a tree.
Recently, however, the vermin that have held the sisters captive were absorbed into the Darkfire Horde, meaning that for the first time in years the two are with their own kind again. It's still not yet for sure how Daisy will react to this new development.
