Physical Appearance:
Iris is small and thin for an otter, due to the years of slavery and starvation that she and Daisy have been through. Her back and arms are covered in whip scars, some of them going quite deep.
Her fur is a dull dark brown, but with some proper meals and rest, she would be a vibrant, dark brown color, with her eyes being a lighter brown.
She wears nothing but some shapeless rags, which hang loosely on her frame.
Possessions:
The only possession that Iris has is the rags that she wears, nothing else.
Personality:
Iris is fiercely protective of her sister, Daisy, who is mute. She will often take her own punishment and that of Daisy's, too, willingly putting herself forward for it. It has even gotten to the point where it has almost killed her.
Despite everything that Iris has been through, she still clings to the hope that her older sister, Esmerelda, will come for her and Daisy sometime soon, and even insists that Daisy leaves a daisy mark in each campsite where their captors stay for the night to leave her a trail.
If freed from her slavery, all Iris would want is to settle down somewhere in peace with her sisters.
Strengths:
Her determination to survive, her loyalty to Daisy and the skill to read Daisy's sign language.
Weaknesses:
Her emaciated state after years of slavery, and her temper. She has been known to lose control of it when seeing her sister being beaten, and has been known to use her teeth to defend her.
History:
Iris was just six years old when she and Daisy was ripped from their home with their mother, Lily. Lily survived for a few days, but then tried to stop one of the vermin from hitting Daisy. This, unfortunately, was a mistake, because the vermin in question immediately hit her in the back of the head, killing her where she stood and leaving her lying facedown in a puddle.
This left a major impression on the young Iris, who immediately stepped up to the role of Daisy's defender. In the years since, Iris has given Daisy as much of her food as she can, and taken the beatings that were meant to be for Daisy.
She has even made a 'voice' for Daisy, who signs what she wants to say to Iris. Iris then says it out loud in such a way that the vermin believe it's really Daisy's voice that they are hearing.
In more recent times, the vermin gang that they were being held by were absorbed into the Darkfire Horde, and as a result, Iris and Daisy have been dumped in with the other otter slaves.
