Well, there are so many options and they all seem like so much fun! The answer space is so limited that I'll explain more thoroughly bellow. ^^
Answer 1: At the moment, Austin is guiding a wandering mouse by the name of Dandelion (played by Prometera) to Redwall Abbey. Whether they arrive before or durring the Redwall plot has not been decided, but either way, he would help the Redwallers escape by either sneaking abbey dwellers out, infiltrating the horde and acting as a spy for the abbey since he is after all, a ferret. If he plays his part and stays true to his word, hopefully he would be offered a home in Redwall abbey, where his name would be remembered as a good natured vermin who protected the abbey in its time of need. (maybe not the last part; I only say that because a vermin joining the abbey is usually a fairly important or large event)
Answer 2: This seems like a lot of fun, quite frankly. The idea of a 'good horde' is probably jaw dropping, but I can see it being possible. They could settle in a land with their own little cottages. And if he gets the horde with something unfortunate happening to the current Warlord, which would preferably be a ferret with a daughter (*wink wink*) he would then take it over and his name would be honored by most of his hordemembers. Being vermin though, I'm sure that more than a few roudy members of the horde would try to take over the horde and actually do something with them, which would lead to a few more plots after this...
Answer 3: This was offered by Fawn. XD I don't know how he would be persuaded to join a pirate crew with his immense fear of water / drowning, or if he was forced to become a member and how he would deal with his fears and whatnot.
Answer 4: Originally, Augustine Zar was part of a little Clan by the shore and was next in line to become the leader. The tribe, though, was swept away when a storm raged, and the young Austin was dragged all the way to River Moss by the black waters. So, maybe he'd attract a small group of hermits (vermin or woodlanders) and restart his tribe, since he has no knowledge of any of his kin still being alive or not. He never had amnesia or anything, so he still remembers the way of the tribe and all that goodstuff.
So, please, which do you think is best for my kind little ferret? ^^

I don't see any reason why he can't have Answer #4 and Answer #2 together. How about what starts off as a tribe grows into a 'good horde'? Or perhaps he could join the Mossguard, which accepts good and 'reformed' vermin.
