I haven't seen Onyxwing for a while, and being the rper of one of the Mossguard's Captains, I figured I'd help revive the group. This initial part is copied an pasted from Onyxwing's original post with some modifications in ranks and numbers, and such.
Join the MossGuard to protect Mossflower!!!
MOSSGUARD NOW ACCEPTING MEMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!
Force name: Mossguard
Filed Marshall: Rewhane, (on a trip somewhere. Faffub will fill in his place until then)
Acting Field Marshal/Mossguard Commanderl: Faffub O'Barukal, the 49th. To vermin, known as the Mountain Ghost.
Captains:
Lieutenants:
Sergeants:
Mess Hall Sergeant (Head Cook):
Infirmary Officials/Specialists:
Distinguishing traits/ armor: If you can see these beasts, you must have amazing eyesight, as they are normally one with the brush. Wearing a variety of camouflage such as Ghille suits, and employing the tactic of appearing where least expected, these beasts aren't there until they attack. Also owing to their hiding ability is the spider web of tunnels underneath Mossflower, which lead to places such as; Insides of fallen and hollow trees, sniper nests, even directly into the ruins of old Kotir. Also, all throughout the main travel routes ambush squads are set, ready to spring out and engage any enemy while letting friendlies by without a hint to the squads being there. Numerous traps are set near the Guard’s Headquarters, Brockhall, with accompanying warning signs to discourage intrusion and to protect unsuspecting woodlanders. The Guard thrives on vermin myths and legends of “Ghosts in the Woodlands” and attempts to encourage them by sending reformed vermin under the guise of “the only survivors of a vermin band that was attacked by Ghosts”. As such good vermin actors are welcomed into the guard.
Approximate numbers: Somewhere close to 200 full time military personal. Approximately 100 civilians on reserve.
Main Weapons of the Guard: A variety of ranged weapons including... Long, short, and Flat bows. Spears, javelins, slings, and their specialty, the blow gun. Using a variety of darts ranging from deadly to a nuisance these weapons are highly lethal in the dense forest. With barrels ranging from five feet to a short two feet the blow gun is highly accurate against moving and standing targets. Cutlasses and machetes abound for use both in combat and utilitarian purposes. Also included are Kylie non returning boomerangs that hit with amazing force. Standard Guard issue equipment is a machete, ghillie suit and any weaponry or ammunition required for your weapon.
Main Goal of the Guard: Defense and protection of Mossflower and its inhabitants.
Guard Type: Stealth, evasion, and Guerilla tactics
Main species: Woodlanders, reformed vermin, and birds
There will be three captains to command the Mossguard under the Field Marshall. Other positions can be suggested.
