Oliver had his head slumped as he laid back onto a tree, the soft grass was relaxing to him. His eyes were closed, the squirrel being tranced into his flashbacks.
A tall figure with a muscular, but quick build walked across the hot plains. His face mysteriously hidden behind a mask and a cloak that protected him from overheating in the sun. Many creatures looked upon him in awe, they didn't know what to expect. No threatening presence came from the figure since the tail that waved was that of a squirrel.
He traveled for many long months; coming back from halfway across Mossflower is no easy task for a lone squirrel, let alone any beast. His ears slightly twitched, he sensed a certain danger. "Aye, mate! You seem lost and confused. Let us have your valuables and we might not kill ya!" The Ferret spoke with a raspy voice, it was quite annoying. His accomplice was a fox with a small dagger adjacent to his paw. They both gave cruel, gruesome smirks. They obviously had already mugged some poor soul. They seemed very proud of their evil accomplishments.
"So." The squirrel spoke with a harsh tone. "I smell blood on ya, what did you scrounge for today?" His sarcasm led the two vermin to get angry. "Stop foolin' around, I guess we gon' kill you for yer stuff." They both held their daggers outwards. The squirrel ran at them, footpaws moving quick like lightning. The two were surprised at his great speed. He pushed the ferret's wrist upward when he thrusted his dagger. A quick footsweep technique was used soon after, knocking the stunned ferret backwards and onto the ground. The fox wildy sliced his way at the squirrel. Landing a couple of slashes on the cloak into the the mask giving the warrior a small cut on the face. The warrior got in close, grabbed an arm, popped his hips, and flung the fox slowly over his head. He hit the ground with a loud "THUD!" The squirrel walked away from the two muggers and left them there dazed and hurt. It was a long ways away, but he was almost there. Redwall was the final destination, it was his second time coming to such a wonderful place.
Many more days passed and he reached the path.. to.. Redwall... The flashback ended. Oliver opened his quickly and fell onto his back from the sitting position. "Ow! Ugh.. I must've dose d off again. Man what a journey." His cloak and mask were being fixed up by some friends that lived nearby. A cup of Strawberry Cordial was sitting next to him. His favorite of all drinks. He slowly sipped at it with content. It made him happy.
