Denya Wildrudder The Captain of the Sea Lily was standing on the prow of his Queens ship. For he was in the High Rhulains service. Though it wasn't really HIS ship she had given him command of it for past deeds. He then sailing to Mossflower from Green Isle. He was looking forward to this trip for a while now. He was going to visit Redwall! He had never been there but he had heard great tales of the Abbey. He was very exited but he didn't show it.
They had set out the previous day and were making good headway. He looked to the first mate. " How fast are we going?" " I'd say ten knots. At this rate we should get there in five days f this breeze keeps up." Said the first mate who's name was Wylde-iron Riverpaw. Denya went over to the main mast and started to climb up to the crows nest. He was careful not to look down, for he was not too good with heights. He reached the crows nest after several minutes. He scanned the horizon for any other ships. He did not see any however which could be a good thing because he did not want to run into any pirate ships.

Ambrr dropped from a tree to land silently next to Renny, lifting her nose to the fading breeze one last time. It was a hot and heavy day, the wind barely stirring, and when it did, barely worth mention. “Sea’s about a half a day’s walk from ‘ere.” She looked ahead, to where Silenis and Danju were trekking through the thick understory. She picked a leaf off her shoulder and brought her voice low.
“That strange creature is still following us too.”
She leapt and climbed easily over a fallen tree, a true giant, whose full girth came almost up to her shoulders. She looked back at the otter. “Need ‘elp climbin’ up?”

“That strange creature is still following us too.”
Oynxwing heard the squirrel talking of him and saw his one time quarry not one hundred feet away, an easy shot for anybeast with a bow. He thought about shooting the Otter but let it go and clambered up higher in the tree to get a better glding angle. He jumped from the tree and glided down to a few feet away from the squirrel and waited kukri's draw.

Renaud Wildroar wiped a paw across his forehead fur, and flicking the sweat of into the shrubbery. It was hot, and the air didn't seem to want to move. It clung to his thick Northern fur like a heavy blanket. It wasn't blistering under the shades of the trees, but for Renny, it was still hot.
Ignoring the heat for a bit, Renny returned his gaze back upon Danju and Silenis who trekked ahead of him in the undergrowth. Not that Renny was tired or anything, but Danju was lot to keep up with when he discovered time and time again that he was getting closer and closer to home, and Renny's leg was "bein' cranky" as he put it. The pain wasn't bad, he just needed to take it slow for a bit.
Ambrr, the troupe's Squirrelqueen guide, who had been up in the trees, dropped down beside him and startled him slightly.
“Sea’s about a half a day’s walk from ‘ere.”
Renny nodded and tried to sniff the air. Because it was too dry and not moving hard enough, he couldn't smell the sea salt, but he could start to feel the sand concentration in the soil beneath his paws increase slightly and the distant sounds of seabirds call out to one another.
"Aye. Ah can start ta tell, if da wind pick up Ah'd be a able ta tell bett'r. Will ye be a joinin' us as we a cross da sea ta get at Green Isle marm?"
She picked a leaf off her shoulder and brought her voice low. “That strange creature is still following us too.”
Again Renny nodded. He had felt the creature's presence. It made the fur on the back of his neck rise. It was still following them. Renny, unsure what it's motives were now, whether it still wanted to kill Danju or not, kept a close eye on Danju, just in case.
She leapt and climbed easily over a fallen tree, a true giant, whose full girth came almost up to her shoulders. She looked back at the otter. “Need ‘elp climbin’ up?”
Analyzing the trunk, Renny shook his head with a small chuckle. "Nah, Ah gots dis." Pulling out his Katana, Renny dug the blade into the middle of the trunk in front of him. Then using his paws, Renaud scrambled up the trunk digging his blade in the trunk in front of him till he reached the top. Smiling at Ambrr, Renny nodded at her then jumped down the other side.
_________________________________________________
Danju Tobias Wildlough was very very happy. Ambrr and Renny had both said they were getting close! The heat wasn't a bother to him, even if he wore the scarf around his neck. He was too happy.
He had too much energy to walk slow with Renny. Being careful not to totally leave him behind, he was allowed to run ahead with Silenis. This gave him time to question Silenis about all that she knew of Green Isle.
"So Mama and Da are OK? Good. Where do they live in Green Isle? What's it like? Is Dad still really strong? Is he still a Warrior? Does Mama still have that rockin' chair?" Danju questioned with a childish glow upon his face. He really didn't care if Silenis knew all the answers, he just wanted to hear about them to keep reminding himself that he was going home!

"Aye. Ah can start ta tell, if da wind pick up Ah'd be a able ta tell bett'r. Will ye be a joinin' us as we a cross da sea ta get at Green Isle marm?"
Ambrr’s ears rotated, and her eyes weren’t entirely on the path in front of her. She tugged at the long fur on her eartip, her expression becoming thoughtful. She hadn’t ever been past Mossflower, though of course she was educated in the geography of Mossflower country and the surrounding lands. She had always been interested in the world outside, but her position as her aunt’s heir and then as Squirrelqueen had prevented it.
This was her chance to see the outside world. Would she take it? “We’ll see.” She compromised.
Suddenly the strange squirrel-like creature swooped in front of them. His weapons were drawn, and he crouched, facing them. Ambrr didn’t think, she drew her two daggers and leapt at the creature, hoping to trap him against a tree trunk. She’d show him to mess with the Squirrelqueen!

Onyxwing saw the attack coming and chopped at the squirrel using the spines of his Kukri's. First one, then the other hearing the clang of metal on metal.Hopefully the Kukri's larger size would hold the knives off He thought locking the blades together by climbing hooks.
"I come in peace!"

Renaud watched as Ambrr contemplated his question. He knew it had to be a hard one. The thought of a thrilling adventure was often what dragged beasts from their homes and into the world. He know it did for him, but some have responsibilities at home, Renny knew they could hold you back. Renny was the son of a Skipper, so he knew all about responsibility, but thankfully he had older brothers ahead of him who were to take up the position so he was mostly free to do what he pleased.
“We’ll see.” She compromised.
Renny nodded his agreement. A wise answer. Renny opened his mouth to respond when the strange squirrel creature dropped out in front of them. It's weapons were out and it's position crouched like it was ready to spring.
Both Renny and Ambrr had their weapons out in a flash. Ambrr, her daggers, and Renny his Katana.
A quick flash of his eyes told Renny that Danju and Silenis were far enough ahead that they probably won't be bothered by this little skirmish. They may not even hear it for that matter. If Renny and Ambrr didn't alert them, Danju and Silenis would be safe walking for a while and the fighting pair could catch up to them later.
Ambrr jumped at the creature. Her dagger's bared. Meanwhile, Renny rushed the creature's right side. The creature reacted swiftly. It locked it's strange weapons together, in an effort to hold Ambrr's knifes off. Then it shouted.
"I come in peace!"
Renny whipped his Katana up the things right side so that it would sit right below the creature's chin while it's paws were contained trying to hold off Ambbr's attack.
"Aye ya came in peace naw? Ye didn't last times mate. W'at made yer c'ange yer mind? Cause Ah ain't real sure ahs believes ye.." Renny said with a snarl.

As Silenis walked along with Renny, Danju, and the new Squirrel Queen guide, she began to feel some of the excitement that Danju had been showing the entire time. As she smelled the faint salt air she thought of her home and her parents. As much as she still missed her mother greatly, she now longed to her father again.
“Sea’s about a half a day’s walk from ‘ere.”
Silenis smiled. They had made quite good progress since they left that dreary cave some time before.
“That strange creature is still following us too.”
"You mean that flying squirrel thing?" Asked Silenis in a low voice. She thought something like this might happen.
“Need ‘elp climbin’ up?”
Silenis looked up at the queen. "I should be fine. Though I admit, it won't look nearly as good as that jump you just did..." She placed her paws on the trunk, and with some effort managed to swing her legs over the fallen tree. She leaped to the ground on the other side. "Aye, what did I say?" she shook her head. "I should really practice that kind of stuff more often..."
"So Mama and Da are OK? Good. Where do they live in Green Isle? What's it like? Is Dad still really strong? Is he still a Warrior? Does Mama still have that rockin' chair?"
Silenis smiled fondly at the little otter. "O yes... Your Mama, and Da are doing quite alright. But I'm sure once they see you they're going to feel a lot better. Where do they live? Where you were born I assume... I didn't think they changed locations? And Danju, it's wonderful in Green Isle... Everything is well...green. I'll be glad to be back. Your Dad is very strong. Never seen a more muscular beast. And he's still a Warrior, one of the best. And I'm sure your Mama keeps her chair. I don't think she'll ever part with it..." Silenis winked at Danju. "Now settle down mate, I'm all out of breath. Save it for when you actually see your Mom and Dad."
"I come in peace!"
"Aye ya came in peace naw? Ye didn't last times mate. W'at made yer c'ange yer mind? Cause Ah ain't real sure ahs believes ye.."
"I'm with Renny." Growled Silenis, turning around and whipping out her dagger. "Don't try anything..."
"The Wild Cat sent me! Told me to kill Danju. Weaved a sob story that i didn't really buy but it somehow justified me coming to kill him![...]So now I come in peace and wishing to come with you on your journey."
"So... you kill even though you do not know why you do it? You would come to kill a young prince, yet now you wish to help us?" Silenis mused. "We shall see..." Silenis left the matter up to her comrades.

"I come in peace!"
She snarled, teeth bared, and slipped her smaller daggers easily around his strange weapons. They flew to the sides, wrenched from his grip. The amber-furred squirrel backed the strange creature up, invading his personal space with her anger and dagger blades.
“Like Hellgates ye do!”
"Aye ya came in peace naw? Ye didn't last times mate. W'at made yer c'ange yer mind? Cause Ah ain't real sure ahs believes ye.." Renny said with a snarl.
“The Wild Cat sent me! Told me to kill Danju. Weaved a sob story that i didn't really buy but it somehow justified me coming to kill him!" Onyxwing blurted out "So now I come in peace and wishing to come with you on your journey."
Her brown eyes narrowed, her gaze skewering the freakish squirrel. It was her first chance to examine it up close, and she saw it had long flaps of skin between its legs and arms. It was a freak, not a proper squirrel at all!
“Ye’re a coward and a liar, murderer.” Ambrr spat flatly, sheathing her daggers and stepping back. “I will kill ye next time, freak.” She stalked away, towards the west shore.

Save it for when you actually see your Mom and Dad."
Danju blushed a bit, his mind racing at all Silenis just told him. "Sorry." He said with his child-like grin. All this talk about his home made his heart glow with delight. He so wanted to be home now. Hugging his father and cuddling with his mother....
But all thoughts about home quickly vanished from his mind as he heard noises behind him. Turning around, Danju watched as Renny and Ambrr drew their weapons and surrounded the strange looking creature.
Danju's eyes, widened. It was the beast who had attacked them! Out of the corner of his eye, Danju saw Silenis pullout her daggers and Danju followed suit. Pulling out his dirk and knife, Danju paced around Renny and Ambrr, snarling a bit. This creature wasn't going to try and hurt his friends again!
Renny watched as Ambrr disarmed the creature easily. Still keeping his Katana at chin height, he let his companions talk.
"The Wild Cat sent me! Told me to kill Danju. Weaved a sob story that i didn't really buy but it somehow justified me coming to kill him![...]So now I come in peace and wishing to come with you on your journey."
Danju froze where he stood. The Cat! Memories flooded his mind of the heavy chains that bound his paws, the painful beatings, the claws racking across his neck... Taking a few steps back, still looking petrified, Danju whimpered. No! No! Not him!
Renny, out of the corner of his eye saw Danju's reaction. Speaking of this wildcat scared Danju. Who was he? And why did he want Danju dead? The sob story the creature spoke about was obviously fake. Renny could tell, but the way Danju looked just now made his blood boil!
“Ye’re a coward and a liar, murderer.” Ambrr spat flatly, sheathing her daggers and stepping back. “I will kill ye next time, freak.” She stalked away, towards the west shore.
Renny, although he didn't want to, put his sword up. If Ambrr did, that it it should be OK, but he didn't let his guard down. Glaring fiercely at the creature, Renny strode boldly over to Danju.
Renny put one paw on Danju's back, and with the other he took Danju's blades from his trembling paws and put them back into Danju's belt. And he whispered, "It'll be O.K. matey. Ah protect ye. Naw cat's gonna get ye." And with the strong paw on Danju, he gently guided him after Ambrr, still eying the creature.
((That's OK. I probably could have done better..))

Onyxwing pretty much let the squirrel disarm him. if it makes them feel better I guess he thought
“Ye’re a coward and a liar, murderer.” [...] “I will kill ye next time, freak.”
"Yea ye ain't so pretty yerself miss"Onyxwing said to her back as she walked away.
As he walked over to pick up his Kukri's he recalled something... why did they think I was a threat? Its not like I tried to kill them... well I didn't even look like a threat when I landed....
Onyxwing sighed, Forgiveness? He thought. For almost killing him? Now forgivness was already a bizzare concept, but for almost killing him? Maybe... it was worth a shot and that group was his only chance if he wanted to pin that Wild Cat to the wall... Dang cat short changed him on the gold!
Onyxwing ran off after the group, with a new thought forming in his head. I will I'll ask Danju's forgiveness.

(It's time for me to jump on the train, figuratively speaking. Short post, but I just need to get it out there.)
"So let me get this straight," Aragon Blademaster said after listening to Viktor O'Malley explain their mission for what seemed like the 100th time, "we have to kill some otter named Danju Wildlough because his mother is the ruler of Green Isle." The two freelancers walked next to each other glumly, O'Malley's armor making a clanking sound with every step he took.
"Yep old bean," O'Malley answered, "that's about it! I don't know why the Dark Circle wants him dead, we just have to do it!"
"Well," Aragon said, "we can't just attack head on. We are out numbered at least two to one!"
"I know, I know," Vicktor said with a crooked smile, "that's why I have a plan! Your an otter! You'll just go with them, and then kill them in their sleep!"
"Actually, that's not a bad idea," Aragon mused, "it just might work!" He was to busy thinking to notice Viktor falling behind him in pace. The muscular stoat picked up a hefty branch, testing its weight in his paws. Then, without warning, he swung the log into the back of Aragon's leg, right below the knee. Aragon fell with a yell. "What was that for!" he screamed at his companion, "you broke my leg!"
"Sorry old bean!" Viktor said happily, "but you would have never let me if I had told you!"
"You mean this is part of your plan?" Aragon asked as he pulled himself into a sitting position.
"Of course," Viktor beamed, "we are very near our interception point with the Wildlough group so you'll just lay in the ditch," he pointed a gauntlet-ed paw at a depression in the earth, "and call for help! They won't be able to say no to a poor wounded otter."
"Fine," Aragon groaned as he crawled into the ditch, "but next time I'll break your leg!"
"Save your breath mate," Viktor called out as he began his walk away, "you have lots of yelling to do!" Aragon glared at the stoat as he disappeared into the trees. The intense heat wasn't helping his mood either.
"HELP!" Aragon roared at the top of his lungs. He hoped the party was near. He didn't want to have to yell to much and his broken leg was started to bother him. "Blast that O'Malley," he muttered to himself as he waited.

[[Just a note, O’malley, I find it unlikely that a broken leg would help an assassin in his task ]] The amber furred squirrel stalked ahead of the group, ever alert for danger, even as she seethed. The nerve of that freaky flying rat. She’d barely restrained herself from slicing the snotty little monster open from stem to stern. Her paw worked on the shaft of the bow she held just as a yell pierced the air. "HELP!" “Blasted tree-mongering wasp maggots.” she spat, entertaining the idea of just walking by, but the creature yelled again and she swerved, her bow at the ready, to investigate the sound. Sure enough, not a dozen paces off her chosen path she found it. An otter laying in a ditch. She looked down at him with something like amusement. “Nice down there, is it?”

(OOC: Lol I know it doesn't. If you look at O'Malley's profile it says he lacks common sense. Though his plan may help Aragon join the group, he has overlooked the obvious fact that with a broken leg, Aragon is weaker. Aragon can see that though.)
“Nice down there, is it?”
"Not exactly," Aragon said, returning Ambrr's smile, "I broke my leg when I fell, and I'm having trouble getting out. A little help would be appreciated!" Aragon hoped he could make a makeshift crutch when he got out. His leg was really hurting now. What was O'Malley thinking? Not much obviously.

Danju, still rather frightened, allowed himself to be guided by Renny as he calmed down. So many memories had flooded his mind all at once. All of them, like they had come out of his worst nightmares.
Renny walked Danju along behind Ambrr. With his strong large paw on Danju's shoulder, he could still feel the lad trembling. Sighing, he focus on their surroundings. It sounded like the creature may still be following them, but Ambrr was out ahead, so he had to keep an ear tuned to that..thing...
"HELP!"
Renaud's ears perked up.Somebeast was calling for help, and obviously Ambrr heard it as well.
“Blasted tree-mongering wasp maggots.”
Renny pulled out his blade and followed Ambrr. Danju, although still frightened, followed. Curious as to where the call came from.
“Nice down there, is it?”
"Not exactly,"
Renaud looked down into the ditch from where the voice came. It was an otter. A rather dark furred otter with dark clothing, but an otter none the less. And from the looks of it, he wasn't fairing so well.
"I broke my leg when I fell, and I'm having trouble getting out. A little help would be appreciated!"
Renny's eyes flashed about the scene. There was a bit of scuffle marks over to the side, but no large marks like this otter fell horribly. The how did he break his leg? Putting that though on the back of his mind, he called out. "Aye mate, stay dere!" Putting his sword up, Renny slid gently down the side of the ditch, rather smooth, but not unclimbable. Upon approaching the otter, he knelt down by the otter's side and got a better look at the break.
It was a shattering break. Nasty ones at best. Some of the worst to reset and some of the longest to heal because of the cracking break. It appeared to have broken from the backside. Again, a strange place to break from unless he backed into something....
"Nasty break ye gots dere mate. Here," he stuck out his paw. "let's get ye outs o' dis ditc' and patc'ed up s'all we?"
Danju watched as Renny went down and talked with the fallen otter. Still a bit on the spooked side he watched wearily. Was this otter a friend or a foe...He looked rather scary....

Onyxwing heard the cry for help and treewilfed towards it coming to rest in the top of a large oak tree. He saw the dark furred otter and thought he had heard of a similar dressed one through his assasin dealings. As the older otter went to help the injured otter Onyxwing saw the mark on his shoulder and his eyes went wide. The Dark Circle! "dirty lowlife scum...." Onyxwing muttered as he watched. Apologies would have to wait, this was going to get ugly.

(OOC: Sorry, I don't mean to be annoying, but Oxyxwing couldn't have seen Aragon's Dark Circle tattoo, because it's on his shoulder, which would be covered by his tunic.)
Aragon grabbed Renny's paw and pulled himself out of the ditch. "Thanks mate," he said gratefully, "I was being a fool you see. I tried to grab some of those berries up there," he pointed to a tree next to the ditch, laden with fruit, "and fell backwards in here. I think I hit the back of my leg on a rock or some of the logs down here." Laying on his side so as not to disturb the wound to much, he took a look at it himself. Blasted O'Malley, what was he thinking?
******
"You broke Argon's leg?" Fergan asked O'Malley in disbelief, "how will he ever kill the prince now?" Fergan the rat was one of the Inner Circle, the Dark Circle's ring of command. He had personally been tasked to this assignment, to make sure everything went right.
"Argon's a fine fighter," Viktor replied, "I'm sure he'll find a way around all that!" He faced back Fergan's scowl with his twisted smile. Fergan, though he tried not to show it, was getting unnerved.
"However, if he doesn't," Fergan turned his back on O'Malley, "we could all lose our jobs. We can't leave the mission up to a one legged assassin. We'll have to follow him."
"So, what are you going to do?" O'Malley asked with a grin, "walk across the ocean?"
"I have my connections O'Malley," Fergan said, turning back to the strange stoat, "I'll have a boat in no time, and a crew to sail it. Until then, follow the prince on foot."
"As you wish, sir," O'Malley said sarcasticly, showing he had no real respect for Fergan's position. He walked off into the trees, leaving Fergan to ponder his next steps.
