Origin of the Warhound
liberos belli canes inferni (Children of War, Hounds of Hell)
The warhounds are a fearsome tribe of otters hailing from the High North Coast. The Clan was founded by three sons of the original Warhound, and 3 daughters of the Clans of Bloodpaw, Longaxe and Blackdog respectively.
Three Sons of the First Warhound:
Tyr – Oldest of the Brothers: Color is Red. Wielded a Battleaxe and a Broadsword. Marked their doors and walls with a red mark to symbolize how many vermin they killed. Ungodly stamina. Married the daughter of the Bloodpaw Clan.
Greyfell – Middle Brother: Colors are Silver&Black. Wielded a Longbow with poison arrows, or slings with specially marked slingstones. Gifted trackers. Married the daughter of the Longaxe Clan.
Halldor – Youngest Brother: Color is Green. Wielded knives, javelins and spears. Known for their excellent healing skills, good at paw-to-paw combat. Married the daughter of the Blackdog Clan.
The oldest brother, Tyr, is the sole Warhound son who could lay claim to the surname Warhound, and thus only HIS direct descendants have it. In other words, a descendant of Greyfell would go under another Clan-name, but they could still be considered linked to the original Warhound.
