Everyone seems to be in a poem-writing (or at least poem-reading) mood, so I'd thought I'd make a thread for all our written verse. ;D
Here's a few of my own, written over the last summer or so. Some are humorous, some aren't.

A Statue's Lament

I've got an awful itch
Right here on my nose
But I just cannot scratch it
Since I'm stuck in this stupid pose

So if you would please help me
Scratch my poor, poor nose
I might not be so itchy
As I'm stuck in this stupid pose

This next one I believe is a work in progress. It was written after my sister's second stay in the hospital. I was, um, not in the best of moods. But I bet you can guess the title!

Hide behind a mask
So the world can't see your tears
Hide behind a mask
So the world won't know your fears

Hide behind a mask
So no one will ever find you
Hide behind a mask
So nothing will ever hurt you

Hide behind a mask
So that you can't be real
Hide behind a mask 
So your heart will never heal

Hide behind a mask
So your love will fade away
Hide behind a mask
So you can't see the light of day

This one is, ah, quite sappy. Almost disgustingly so. I'm so sorry, Internet, for the existence of this . . .

I just can't forget you

Can you feel it, too?

And I'll say, 'I love you.'

And I'll be adding more. One I actually need to get permission from someone to post it, heh.
