What Happens at Port STAYS at Port: Don't be bringin' yer troubles aboard the ship, the Cap'n ain't too fond o'drama.
Swim Test: All crewbeasts applyin' will have ter pass a swimmin' test before the Cap'n will consider ye; any beast who don't know how ter swim need not apply.
Don't Matter what ye look like: Be ye villainous vermin or perilous hare, the cap'n's good'n'fair enough tah consider yah no matter what ye looks like (though what ye smell like might be 'nother matter entirely).

WHAT TO EXPECT
When sailin' aboard the Stardust, you can usually expect to perform a series of odd jobs for keep food & water stocked and everyone payed on time. These odd jobs include but are not limited to:
Escort/Protection Services (High profile merchant ships, travelers needing safe passage, etc)
Privateering
Recovery of Stolen Goods
Stealing of Goods
Mercenary Work
Transport Services
Courier Services
Rescues
However, please keep note that the Stardust and her crew are free beasts, and never have nor will be under the control of any military power or political entity. All contracts are signed on parchment paper -- not with a pawshake, blood, or any other form of agreement easily overruled/forgotten/etc.
All contract signings must be witnessed by 3 members of each party involved (for the Stardust, it's the Boatswain, Quartermaster and First Mate). There are no refunds.
Stryker's Crew works only for monetary gain, or for objects of equal or greater value. Charity work is rare, but does occasionally happen.
PLOT:
Captain Stryker and his crew are on the search for Desoto's treasure -- 15 chests of gold from the southern coast -- with only a riddle to reveal the location and a journey fraught with perils the likes of which not even the bravest of corsairs would face, the Stardust has her work cut out for her.
Unbeknown to Captain Stryker, another beast is after the fortune Desoto left for him, and that's the treacherous former Quartermaster of the Sea Serpent (Desoto's ship), now at the command of 10 score of vermin and a pirate ship called the BloodBanner.
With the BloodBanner Captain hot on his heels, it's a race against the clock to navigate the treacherous waters of the Channel of Monsters, avoid the islands inhabited by cannibals, solve the riddle, and manage to survive all other miserable menageries of misfortune to reach the treasure before the Quartermaster does.
Character: Quartermaster (whoever wants them can name them)
Request: I want someone who is at least semi-active to play the evil quartermaster, even though his role is a small one at the beginning, he becomes the main antagonist later on in the plot.
Other: I envision the quartermaster as a black searat with a cat'o'nine tucked in his belt and a very bad attitude, though I'll gladly accept other versions of him.
I'd prefer a crew of mostly vermin, but as stated above, if you've got an otter or a hare or some other creature lookin' to join the crew, go right ahead and apply. I'm not too picky.
If interested in the position, or if you have any plot suggestions, please drop me a PM and we can discuss the details. =)
One final thing to note: if anybeast is unhappy with the 'mildly nonthreatening' name of the schooner Stryker owns, then just offer up some suggestions and the crew can all take a poll on a name change later.
