Physical Appearance:
Valdis is tall, being about half a head higher than average hight. He has red-brown fur, with a white patch down the front of his body. He has red dyed claws (like all of the Redclaws) and is relatively thin. He wears a jet black tunic, with a red claw embroidered on the front. He also wears a red cape fashioned by a gold chain, and heavy black boots.
Possessions
Valdis carries a basket hilted rapier (cut-and-thrust sword) at all times. It has a hand-guard, and a mahogany grip. Valdis carries a elm short bow during scouting missions. He also sleeps in a black tent, marked with the red claw insignia.
Personality:
Valdis is a slave to duty. Whatever his leader tells him, he does. He has a high scents of honor, which sometimes conflicts with his duty. Despite his hard exterior, when not following orders, he is friendly, especially to young ones. He is a great friend of his troops, and is always their to encourage and help them. He also hates wood landers because of a certain event in his life.
Strengths:
He is a superb sword fighter with his weapon of choice, the rapier, is a good strategist, and a fast runner.
Weaknesses:
Valdis is (as said) a slave to duty. He does even deadly things to follow orders. He is also nervous about personal relationships and shies away from them.
History:
Valdis was born into a small tribe of warrior weasels. When he was only 6, his tribe, led by his father, threatened a family of squirrels with their lives. The squirrels, being vengeful, got help from other wood landers and attacked the weasel tribe. The Redclaw horde, who were nearby, saw the attack. Redclaw, leader of the horde, did not help the doomed tribe until almost all were dead. Driving off the wood landers, he took the only survivor, Valdis, under his wing. Because of this, Valdis hates the woodlanders and looks up to Redclaw as a father.
Relationships:
Zarek Redclaw-Valdis treats Zarek like a father.
