Name: Scythe Stormfang
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Species: Wildcat
Occupation: Leader of the Elite archers
Alignment: Good
Physical Appearance:
Scythe Stormfang is a tall, thin wildcat with powerful muscles from exercise, such as climbing trees and pulling back the string to his longbow. He wears a dark gray and brown cloak that helps him blend in to the forest, and his fur is mottled tan, cinnamon, and black like the plumage of a hawk. He usually wears the hood of the cloak over his head so no one can see his flat black eyes. His presence creates a certain regal appearance.
He wears a leather belt and double knife scabbard, with one thick, hard, broader knife and a thin, razor edged throwing knife. As mentioned before, he carries a lemonwood and hickory longbow strung in one paw, and a quiver on his back with a score and a half of bamboo arrows with golden feathers, symbolizing his rank in the Elite archers, and bone and obsidian arrowheads.
Possessions
• Lemonwood and hickory longbow
• 30 bamboo arrows
• Camouflage gray and brown cloak
• Belt
• Double knife scabbard w/ two knives
•
Personality:
Scythe doesn’t appear very nice because he prefers to keep to himself. But he can be kind, and he’s strong and smart, which helps him in his leadership. He loves to practice shooting with his bow, and he can be found doing that in his spare time. He is an excellent climber and has a head for heights. However, he also has a bit of claustrophobia and does not like enclosed spaces. Added to this is his fear of spiders, although he doesn’t want beasts to go around thinking he’s scared of tiny animals. So he tries to keep his cool around them.
Strengths:
Scythe is an excellent climber and he can hit almost anything first shot with his bow.
Weaknesses:
Scythe has a fear of enclosed spaces and a stronger fear of spiders that he tries to keep hidden.
History:
Scythe previously lived in a castle on a faraway land. When he was fifteen, instead of becoming a warrior, he devoted himself to learning the ways of the archers. None of the beasts at the castle were happy about this because, since his father was a great warrior, they expected he would be one of the best. Only his mother knew the path of an archer was what was best for him, and she didn’t reveal it to anyone else. Scythe was forced to live in the disapproval of others as he trained for three years, adding the skill of throwing knives to the skill of the bow. By that time, he was seventeen, and sick of being ridiculed by the beasts of the castle, he left in a stolen ship for a new life.
Months passed, but Scythe eventually landed in Mossflower. He’d had the sense to bring a fishing pole with him on the boat, but nothing else except his weapons, so he’d had to eat raw fish for breakfast, lunch and dinner for half a year. But he felt relief that he’d finally been able to escape the laughing of the knights of the castle and the frowns of its people. The only way Scythe could see to make a living was to kill the vermin that seemed to be crawling everywhere in Mossflower. So he used his bowskills to kill the vermin that hurt others and get a free meal in the process until he met Rapier Nightheart.
Rapier also had considerable skill with the bow. The two wildcats formed a partnership and began to recruit beasts with good skill with the bow. They called their ‘gang’ the Elite archers, and they’ve been in Mossflower for two and a half years.
Relationships:
Rapier Nightheart, a wildcat, is Scythe’s best friend and his second in command of the Elite archers.
Other
Scythe Stormfang leads the Elite archers, a small band of well trained archers, and his second in command is Rapier Nightheart.
