Physical Appearance:
General--Possessions:
Kolun is lean, unlike many otters. He has a rich chocolate color fur with a creamy underbelly. His eyes are a deep green color that draw creatures to him and exude a feeling of trust. He is still somewhat muscular from his work as a carpenter. He is lean from his wanderings, but gets lazy in the winter time and puts on some pounds. He is taller than most otters, giving him a gangly appearance. He has a few scars from some scraps in the past. The most notable one is on the back of his head. A ferret snuck up behind him and slashed him with a dagger. It runs about from the top of his head to the start of his neck.
Attire--
Kolun wears one garmet most of the year. A forest green sleeveless tunic with a brown square fringe. It is belted with a woven belt showing the geography of Green Isle. He has one change of clothes, but he mostly carries this around for sentimental reasons. It is a white linen robe with an effigy of a fish on it. It was the traditional sign of his former clan. He has a cloak that he uses in the winter months, but it is usually used as a bag to carry his stuff, or as a tent in bad weather.
Kolun doesn't carry much. He has a bag that has his carpentry tools: a saw, hammer, chisel. It doubles as a cloak in the winter season. He also carries a wooden javelin that serves as a walking stick.Personality:
Kolun is a bit more reserved than some otters. He has spent the last four seasons of his life wandering by himself. He still enjoys a good laugh and adores company when he can find it. There is just a small hesitancy at first. He is a fairly good singer and has composed a few ditties as he was roaming. He is humble and doesn't take praise well. He is a little socially awkward.Strengths:
Singing, fighting, carpentryWeaknesses:
Tactics, wit, and cookingHistory/Background:
Kolun was born on Green Isle to Rogzun and Deefo Riverdog. He was the youngest of four and would never inherit his father's title. He was never that good in school, and was teased by the other otter Pups. He was resolved to be good at something, so he practiced with his javelin several hours a day. He could now hurt those who hurt his feelings. He quickly became the best with weapons. He was also fast, and won many footraces. He also poured himself into carpentry. He loved how minute things came toghether and formed something wonderful. He had several friends among the various tribes, but his relationship with his parents was abyssmal. They had four children to look after so each relationship was strained, except for Brink, who could do no wrong in their parent's eyes. He was the oldest and he got the most attention from the parents. This aggravated the others, Kolun especially. He developed a good relationship with his older sister, Tara. They were only two seasons apart and were constant companions through out childhood.Relationships:
The strained relationship between Kolun and his father Rogzun reached the breaking point when Kolun was fifteen seasons. Rogzun knew Kolun wasn't doing good in studies, so he demanded Kolun take lessons from Brink. That enraged Kolun and in a teenage passion he left the clan for good.
He stole a small rowboat from the dock near where his clan lived. He had all his possessions in his cloak. He rowed to the edge of the Isle and bored a hole in the boat so it would sink. He found a merchant ship not far off the island's coast. He got a job for a season as the ship's carpenter, but he loved roving the land, so when the ship put in to Mossflower, he left the crew. He plodded over hill and dale, doing jobs here and there, taking mostly food and a place to sleep as payment. He met a few good friends and now has a place to lodge when the winter months come. He learned a lot about survival and the nasty beasts that sometimes inhabit Mossflower woods. There are a few less now, however.
