Banyon's fur is a dark cocoa brown with a soft white underbelly. He has intense green eyes with flecks of brown in them. He is tall and lean, due to his obsession with running. In the warm months he is clad in a green homespun tunic with brown patches. The tunic is belted with a thick bark belt. In the wintertime, Banyon wears a longer grey robe. He sometimes wears a cloak, but only when he is on the march. He has a tooth that sticks out even when his mouth is closed, and he is very sensitive about that fact.
Possessions
Short bow with goose fletched arrows; a flat rock from the deeplough.
Personality:
Banyon is boistrous, like most otters. He likes to be in a big crowd of beasts, but shies away from the spotlight.He loves a good joke and will laugh at himself as loudly as the others. He is sensitive about his one tooth that sticks out of his mouth, but his friends and family are aware so they don't mention it. Banyon is a very loyal beast. He loves his family and clan and the other otters on Green Isle. He can be hotheaded and has gotten into trouble a few times becuase of his temper. He can also be clever, but it isn't an everyday occurence. He feels most cunning when he is running.

Banyon was born on Green Isle to Barkon and Deeemo Galedeep. He grew up like most otter pups, except he discovered at an early age that he loved running. He would spend hours each day running through the hills and dales of the island. He was trained at the traditional time to use weapons by his father. He had a fondness for the bow and arrow, citing that he could outdistance any vermin he might encounter, and turn around for a kill shot. He was the youngest of four, with three older sisters. They teased him incessantly about his strange tooth. He finally grew big enough to knock them on the ground, and they soon quit.
When he was fourteen seasons old, he and his father got into a huge argument over the girl he was seeing. She was from a rival otter clan, and Banyon said something he regretted. He left the clan and trekked over to his hiding place Holt Summerdell. He stayed for a few weeks, then his closest sister, Lana, who would run with him, came and found him. She convinced him to go back home and he agreed.
He returned home and apologized to his father, and trained harder than ever. He wanted to join the ranks of the otter guard who served the high Rhulian. He was accepted at eighteen seasons. He served her faithfully as a scout but had not seen much action.
