Hi, y'all! It's that time again. Let's test y'all's writing skills with another . . . -drumroll- Caption Contest!Here's the piece you'll be captioning: SPOILER: It features VickyCharacters from left to right: Victiore Fawn, a mole, a squirrel, and a hedgehog. All are female. Same rules apply: No curse words. No dirty jokes. The lines can be silly, serious, or downright random, but they should pertain to the setting in some way. At least three of the four characters MUST be speaking in your entry. You can enter it in scripted form or as an excerpt. ((If you submit it as scripted form, I will turn it into an excerpt on the final colored piece)) Have fun! EDIT: Since I got overly-excited and colored the sketch, I'm giving y'all until next week to submit an entry. I may close the contest sooner if entries become increasingly few and far between. Prizes are the same as last time: First Place receives a fully-colored scene from any thread. (Current or past) Second Place receives a sketched scene from any thread. Third Place receives a character sketch. YES I know I've drawn practically everyone's characters. Caption Submission(Expert style):
"Now girls, I thank you for offering to help me my hair, but I would like to ask that you be careful!" Vicky cried out, her head jerking back slightly in response to a rough tug on her hair. The three little girls giggled as the weaved in and out of each other with bundles Vicky's long hair. Desiring not to keep tripping over her long hair, Vicky had been searching for away to keep it up. Having used hats, scarfs, and ribbon and being unsuccessful, Victiore tried to braid her hair and only succeeded in knotting her head in a giant ball. The three older dibbun girls had been watching Vicky's struggles, giggling, but finally decided to come over and offer their services to help Vicky. Now as the girls when about their work, Victiore is not so sure that their help is really helpful. Trying to look behind her, Vicky muttered "Um, how are you doing back there?" The young squirrelmaid laughed, picking up another bundle of hair. "We're doin' just fine marm'! *giggle* Just hold still!" "Ohhh how be's we doen thart there weave againz? Be we a goin' under o' o'er?"The young molemaid asked her companions ducking under a long bunch of hair the hogmaid held high in the air. "Uhh..under I think." "No," the squirrelmaid giggled. "It goes over silly!" As the giggles erupted once more, Vicky groaned. This wasn't going to end well...."

Hedgehog: 'S okay, Miss Vicky, we'll get you all ready for the dance at the feast t'night, yup!
Vicky: Oh, I-I don't know… I wasn't… I don't even have anything to wear so…
Squirrel: Oh silly we got plenty of stuff, we'll find somethin' real pretty! First we gotta get your hair done though! Gonna do it jus' like my momma does mine for the Namedays! No no Tobba, you're supposed'a do the twistbraid B'FORE you go under the other part.
Molemaid: Oi didn't do it loike that larst time!
Squirrel: *sigh* Okay, we need t'start over!
Vicky: So when did your mother teach you to braid hair?
Squirrel: Huh?
Vicky: You said you're doing my hair like your mom does yours. When did she teach you?
Squirrel: Oh she didn't! I jus' know!
Vicky: …Oh.

"Don't worry Miss Victiore!" The chipper voice of the spunky little squirrel, Esmeralda, was directed to the beautiful satin mouse perched upon a stack of recently fluffed pillows. "We'll have you all set for the dance this evening, won't we girls?"
"Right Esme. Okay Alice, can you go over that strand? Careful please, we don't want you to accidentally step on all of Ms. Fawn's lovely hair!"
"Oi'm bein' careful Tilly, oi won't be a-hurtin' Mizz Fawn's hair. We have to make rightly sure she loikes noice'n' luverly for 'e Prince Dastaan this evenin'." The playful words of the dark-furred, pretty little molemaid sent both Esmeralda and Tilly -- the oldest of the three and by far the most mellow -- into giggles, Victiore blushing bright red beneath her pretty white coat.
"O-Oh I'm n-not going be-because of Prince Dastaan! Really!" She squeaked, but the giggling only continued, Esmeralda leaning over to give the mousemaid a knowing wink and a smile.
"it's okay Miss Fawn. The prince is quite a handsome creature, isn't he? So charming and brave. No shame in fancying him!"
"Burr aye, espshully when 'e fancies ye just the same!"
Victiore's blush deepened, if that was even possible -- the giggling maids rendering her speechless as she watched them continue to braid her long, honey-colored hair between talks of feasting, dancing and of course, of the infamous Prince Dastaan. He fancies me just the same?
Victiore fidgeted a little, trying not to look like some of the butterflies on her arms had suddenly fluttered their way into her tummy.
Could there be some truth to their words after all?

Okay, since we had NO FREAKIN' ONE ELSE enter the caption contest, I'll announce the winners. As Prank said, "Everyone wins!"
First Place goes to Prank! For his UTTERLY ADORABLE excerpt! Oh! I died from the cuteness! <3 Okay, well, I didn't die, but I almost did! Perfect lines for Vicky. (She works well with kids, but not that well.)
Second place goes to Fawn! Prince of Persia reference for the win! XD Adorable caption, and great portrayal of Vicky's personality.
Third Place goes to Tracy! Even though hers was in scripted form, it was still a wonderfully cute story. (Oh, she didn't! I just know!) Sweet, sweet little caption.
