Django's take on Redwall

Since it seems a few of you have expressed interest in my artwork, here's a few of my Redwall pieces. Some are colored and some are only sketches. Some are older than others, so excuse the lack of quality on the older ones. Please note that my character Django is starring in his own story outside the Redwall fan series, so some of the characters I create on this site are being recycled in that story. Also, one of my other non-Redwall characters has a story of her own, and characters are being recycled into her tale, as well.

To start, here is the first drawing of the first Redwall character I ever made, Alne Nikta.

oooo, very nice pictures Cross . I never been one for the drawing stuff so I'm impressed by anyone who can.

I espically like the one with Nik and Bin Vaygen, such good friends they are, probably having a nice chat of daises and cakes, it just got obscured by that cloud on the page

Oh, yes, they're having a wonderful time, you know. Amiably chatting about the weather and lollipops. And I bet Bon Vaygen is complimenting Nik on what lovely vocabulary he has. And Nik I'm sure is describing Bon Vaygen's nose in such an eloquent way.

The sayings can be silly, serious, or downright random, but they should pertain to the setting in some way.
Both Nik and Ban should be saying at least one thing. I drew them both as if they're speaking, so they should both be talking in your entry.

O.O wow, Cross looks scary! -blink- Love it though!

Tessa looks so COOL! and that pile'o'mice makes me want a mouse character! Help! XD I'll have four accounts before you know it!

I love the way you draw moles and hedgehogs! I've always pictured them as heavy, roundish looking creatures, but you make them extremely awesome looking. I Especially love Broden's spikes!

I'm off to go draw then, because your pictures always inspire me to. :3

Caption Contest:

Nik: "We'll get 'er back Ban, believe it!"

Ban: "I trust ya, Nik, but I've never seen so many vermin skulkin' in one place! An' what in the name of Hell's teeth gave them the right to kidnap Fllora?! She ain't ever harmed no beast! I'll let 'em have a taste of my blade for that!"

Nik: "Sshhh, Ban, shut yore gob -- somebeast's comin' this way!"


The scene happening is that the shrewmaid Ban has a crush on has been kidnapped by Vermin for ransom. Nik, having gone through this before only with Mira, will not allow the same old tragedy to befall his best mate and Ban's crush. This turn of events brings both Nik and Ban to a better understanding of each other, and proves Nik's abilities as a Logalog.

[Promatera]

Ban: "'Ey Nik! I think Braythe's chasin' Vaygan with his weasel bopper! Guess he tried stealin' it."

Nik: -Slams fist into tree- "I warned that weasel! Vaygan's doomed!"

Eh not a good one, but I had to throw one in XD I've been wondering what would happen if Bon Vaygan were to meet the weasel bopper and this was a nice way to introduce the two XD

Ban: There sure are a lot of them Nik...well, more of them than us. Six be more than two and all.
Nik: I can see that Ban, thank you for pointing it out so clearly to me. But this merry little band is from that horde that attacked a few weeks ago, and they be gettin' closer to the camp each day as they pillage the forest for food.
Ban: You sure about that? That horde has been awfully quiet the past few weeks, maybe the leader fell of his standard or something or was poisoned by one of his own?
Nik: *nods, ignoring most of what Ban said* Aye, and now would be the perfect time before they get back to the main body. Come on Ban, wheres your sense of adventure for taking on a little vermin band all on our own? Don't tell me you've lost your nerve? *grins*
Ban: *Goes all mad red faced* Don't be pushing it Nik...Fine
Nik: *Gets a determined look as he grips his blade* Right, you fire first then I'll charge in swinging.
Ban: *Nods and takes out a arrow to notch*
(Then the picture scene takes place.)

Ban: You're kidding. You want me to shoot that?

Nik: I hate bunnies.
