Wow this site has really picked up since I joined! Back in mid-late June when I joined, most of the site looked like a wasteland of frozen threads! Now, several months later, it looks like the site is finally beginning to reanimate itself! Posters have continued to post regularly, a trickle of new users have become excellent contributors to the site as a whole, and some old members have even jumped back into the action!
All in all, it's an exciting time to be a member of Legends of Redwall Abbey! The question that has been nagging at the back of my mind, however, is will this sudden spark of activity last? For many members, school has recently started and this renewed activity may be squelched as members become busy with business in real life. So far the active members from the summer have managed to continue to post fairly regularly. With the fall season slowly approaching can this be maintained? Only time will tell, but so long as at least a few members pop in on the cbox or make a small post in a thread then I'm sure it will keep things alive for members who have the free time to post regularly, but better yet, continue to draw in new members.
New members can provide a small burst of vitality to any site. If a new member chooses to stay then the site benefits from a whole new perspective, which keeps threads fresh. In summation, new members can provide a great way to carry this site's rising amount of activity, which if continued, can perhaps galvanize the site into activity not seen in years.
The next question then is: How do we get more new members to join?
Obviously regularity helps, but what else can the community do to bring in new members and keep their interest? As members of the LoRA community, what do you all propose?
