Pretty self-explanatory, but as to why I've created this thread it is because of the lack of general board activity! There has mostly been only posting about in the RP related boards, which is great, but it does not quite draw the community together as some trivial thread!
So without further ado, what are your favorite movies?
Mine range from The Secret of NIMH to the Matrix trilogy (though the third one was rather dull). Anybody see the movie most recent Harry Potter movie? That was an awesome movie!

My favorite movies range from the animated to the action-packed live films. I do have to say that some of my most favorites are many of the Disney classics. Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Lion King, and so on. More recent movies that I've come to love are Star Trek, How to Train Your Dragon, Megamind, Kung Fu Panda (1 & 2), and Cars. Yes, lots of animated films. What can I say? When your sister is handicapped to the point where she can really only watch movies on her own, you end up buying a lot of fun-to-watch, animated movies. To answer your last question, no, I haven't seen the most recent HP movie. But I really want to. Also, I'm a black and white movie junkie. If you've never watched any Marx Brothers films, do so IMMEDIATELY! They are hysterical. I should stop there before the list of my favorites goes on for seventeen pages. -Django

Um, Saving Private Ryan, Forest Gump, Goodfellas, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, James Cameron's Avatar, and Take Me Home Tonight.

Django: I have to agree, animation rocks! There's just something about it that when it's done right, is truly moving. In fact Secret of NIMH is one of my favorites and it's animated, just a shame it was so unnoticed. However, I have not seen the Marx Brothers' films. I'm gonna have to do some research! XD
Sigurd: Forest Gump is an excellent movie and of what I've seen of Saving Private Ryan it is as well. I'll have to check out the other films though.

Heh, I gotta go with Inception as my number one movie. Until that came out, my favorite movie was 1408, which is kind of obscure, but basically, it's a horror movie done with class. Of course, I would enjoy any scary film sans gore. And, of course, my third favorite is Dark Knight. (Gotta hand it to Chris Nolan. That's guy's a genius movie maker.)
I have other favorites, and I am a fig fan of animated films.* (Except Rango. That should not have been advertised as a kids' movie, in my opinion.) Veggietales, anyone? ;D
Now, as I'm sure is the case with everybody here, I am really hoping to see a Redwall movie in the near future. If I were in charge of the universe, I would have them start with Martin the Warrior or Mossflower (because they're both epic stories, and I think adults could enjoy them despite the fact that they would have to be animated). Anyone else with me on this?
(("I am a fig" What? lol))

Inception was a fun movie! I only wish they took the dreams aspect a little further, but then again it would have just been weird. I believe I've seen 1408 and that was a trippy movie, though I found the scene where the main character questions his fridge oddly funny. Dark Knight was definitely great though I'm really looking forward to the next one Dark Knight Rising!
Also I thought Rango was a good movie, but I agree with you in that they should not have marketed it as a kid's movie. It definitely was not. There were so many references to other movies that kid's would not understand and there was the fact that it was pretty dark. Unfortunately I have not seen a Veggie Tales movie!
Now as to a Redwall movie I definitely agree that a movie adaptation would be amazing. In fact there were a large group of fans who thought the same thing and tried to pull off their own fan animated project, but unfortunately it was shut down by licensing issues. xp However, I believe a Mossflower film would be just awesome!

@t-Bone: I haven't seen Inception, but my mom wants us to rent it soon. I also haven't seen 1408, but I'm not a big fan of horror (gory or not). But Veggietales is awesome. ^^ Promatera: -GASP- You haven't seen Veggietales?!? You must, Promatera! You must! I'm also in agreement with both of you in regards to a Redwall movie. But did either of you see the Redwall series on PBS a few years ago? Martin the Warrior, Redwall, and possibly even Mossflower were done in beautifully-rendered 2D animated episodes. You can find the DVDs on Amazon.com, I believe. Although, I know you meant a Redwall movie on the big screen, which would of course be the best thing ever. -Django
