(( Please inform me if I am missing any current Long Patrol characters. I have removed all inactive characters. If the player should return, please request reinstatement.))
Please note. These do not grant staff status. Members of the Long Patrol please request a rank as it will allow RPing to proceed more smoothly. Please keep in mind your character's age when applying for a position; it is highly unreasonable that a four year old hare would lead the Long Patrol. Please also note the Chain of Command - the Lower Ranks actually tend to get more of the footwork done, Ranks higher than Captain tend to stay behind - bar all out assaults. Keep these ages in mind... these are approximations, but they're good to keep in mind. Exceptions have been, and will be, made. 17-19 - Private 20-24 - Corporal 25-31 - Sergeant 32-37 - Lieutenant 38-42 - Captain 42-47 - Major 47-54 - Colonel 54+ - General Badger Lord/Lady:* [OPEN] (In order from highest to lowest.) I would call Runner and Galloper more like jobs than ranks. In the military, I can call my petty officer master at arms or petty officer, but one is her job and the other is her rank. I can call the Marine next to me signals analyst or corporal, but again, one is his job and the other is his rank. Warrant officers are still officers. They do occupy a kind of middle position, but that is more because they are prior enlisted, rather than starting by being commissioned as an officer. Just a little insight from your resident sailor.
