Asterfall's Artsy Stuff

K, so... this is my little wall of art pinned up here. It'll probably most likely be just things I've drawn, but I might put some other "artsy" stuff up, like some of the calligraphy I do (Japanese) or crafty stuff I've made when I'm bored. Maybe.

First off, this is Asterfall with her sleeves all tied up for climbing, penciled then colored. Sorry about the yellow quality of the pictures; I have to take them on my camera because our scanner has long since been busted and the lighting in my room is terrible.

I apparently never drew in her other hand and I don't know where the notebook is that I drew her in. She's German-Japanese. I just decided that.


This is a kokiri and her fairy. Basically, I love the Legends of Zelda so much I could die. Or something. This was for the sweetest roleplay forum on the face of the earth before it died. (It lasted for like 7 years or something... maybe I made that number up.) It seems... I didn't draw this hand in either??


Testing out my colored pencils that I lost and then found again. You can see the little color scribbles on the right... (I'm a Pokemon fan too.)


This is when I went and bought myself a real art book with thick pages that are completely white. Much nicer. I don't know why I waited so long to get one. They were on sale. :) Anyhow, this is a picture I didn't put to much effort into, I just wanted to the get the picture across. The whole "L" thing is an inside joke, so if you've read Death Note and you're confused, sorry. That's Larkspur. Standing in a field of... larkspur. I love larkspur and the way it grows...


One of those days where I wasn't feeling too original and so I copied this from a book; it's good practice, really. Note cool
Japanese (Hiragana, I think?) characters.

[Asterfall]

Here's Irisbell and Rohlwing (Who're mine, if you didn't know). I tried a sliiiightly different style with them. I would've posted them at the very beginning of the week, but photobucket decided to not work. I was, apparently, part of the .25% that had malfunctioning accounts. Which is why none my avatars and banners have been showing up. Since Monday, I've eaten Photobucket at least three times and tried to boil it in cheese fondue for eternity. Thankfully, it's back and up and running again. So here's Bells and Rohlwing.



And here is a colored version. I really do not like coloring on the computer. It's tedious and takes a long time, especially if you mess up the layers (like I did, of course) and accidentally mix the texture of the paper with what you're inking in, which essentially makes everything take twice as long. The good thing is I only messed it up with Bells and did Rohlwing properly so he didn't take as long.



I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I'm not sure if that means I'll be doing it anytime soon, however. I wouldn't have done it at all if I didn't have my brother's tablet.
