A good profile makes a good character. Profiles are essential to role-playing because without one for your character, his/her traits and abilities are undecided and vague. In order to create a good profile for your character, be sure to follow the Profile Application Format.
Your profile should go here.
The following is the Profile Format for this site:
Name
For many members, naming a character is one of the hardest things to do. It shouldn't be.
Generic, Conventional Names
Conventional names are the easiest. Just grab any random name, like Mary or John, or Billybob and give it to your character. Not very creative, but it is the fastest and easiest way to get around.
Non-Conventional Names
Non-conventional names can be split into many groups. There are the weird, completely random ones you can create by 1)spelling things backwards 2)putting together random syllables and changing the appearance of the sounds 3)A name that means something in another language 4)Smashing two or more words together.
Here are examples of such:
1) Artul [word: Lutra]
2) Rhuvien [roo-vee-en]
3) Ryuu [ryuu means dragon in Japanese]
4) Silverwing [silver + wing; this is best for last names]
Note
Even though it seems far more popular to have Japanese-type names, these are becoming very conventional and have less creativity than names randomly created with a nice twist. Originality makes the best character.
Also, taking original characters from Brian Jacques books is fine, but makes your originality level seem low.
Age
How old is your character? 5? 10? 80? Put these in years, then convert them to seasons if you're bored enough.
Gender
There is NOTHING hard about choosing a gender. Either male or female. It's your choice.
Species
Ah, the ever growing question of 'what species should I choose?' There are plenty of choices; you can select one from the following thread: Redwall Creatures.
Choosing a Species
Once again, this is NOT a difficult choice, but many think it so, only because all the species are...pretty cool. The first thing you want to consider is which appeals to you most? What do you think fits your character? What traits are most desirable? Is my character fitting to this species?
Think about these questions, then move on.
Appearance
Oh boy! Fun! This is the part where you get to actually design your character! This is one of the most deatiled parts of your profile. Every detail of this description should be typed out so we may have a better view of your character. Vague details will not paint the picture for us. Write out EVERYTHING.
Clothing
In clothing, your character should be fairly realistic and follow the midieval style. Jerkins, tunics, smocks, surcoats, etc. are all good choices for your character.
Personal Traits
Your character has personal hereditary traits, such as fur/skin/eye/hair colors, and etc. Please be sure to include these.
Quirks/Other
Is there something about your character that causes s/he to stand out? A scar? a birthmark? Usually something like this gives the character a little more interesting of a background, as well as in appearance.
Note
Because these are animals, please consider the realism. Animals cannot wear trousers, as their tails and lower body structure would not allow it.
Personality
The next fun part of the profile: your character's disposition. This is probably the easiest of the crucial parts of your character. Simply put your character's personality in, be it yours or the complete opposite of you, and you're done with that part.
Make sure that you post with your character's disposition in mind, otherwise, you would be out of character. (Which will make you feel a little silly.)
Weapons/Personal Belongings
In a world full of danger, you must be equipped with a weapon, be it your fists, a sword, a bow...whatever. Please consider the time frame this might be in. There are no guns, no cannons, and no laser shooters/light sabers. This is a medieval-type forum.
Also, feel free to carry around a little object your character has interest or sentimental value in, like a necklace, or a book or etc.
Types
In all generality, there are two types of weapons:
Long Range/Projectiles
Short Range/Close Combat
Long range weapons are like bows, ballistae, slings, polearms, and quoits/chakram.
Short range weapons include swords, axes, hammers, and the like.
Weaknesses & Strengths
All good characters have a fault. There is no such thing as a perfect being. A weakness can be as simple as being afraid of spiders, water, or chickens, and as complicated as standing on their hands with a fish balanced on their nose.
It's entirely your choice.
Strengths apply as well. Your character could be very speedy, or strong, or witty, giving them advantage over certain enemies or other characters.
Job/Occupation
This is what you do for a living. Are you a wanderer? a warrior? a mercenary? a chef? a brother/sister? Make sure you know exactly what you want. You can apply for positions in the Positions thread.
History/Background
Usually the most detailed part of the profile, this part explains allllllll about your character's past. it sounds easy enough, but in order to have an interesting character, you must have a good background (not literally good, but something interesting).
This is the creative part; why your character is who s/he is today.
Other
Sorry folks, but it's not over yet. There are many other things you can add to your profile to give it a little zing.
Here are a few suggestions:

All in all, a profile is your chance to be creative. Don't pout about it; relax and enjoy yourself. Remember to have your profile approved by an administrator before you post.
