Nassu was out in the orchard, pulling the weeds out of the various gardens. He was doing a punishment for disagreeing with a brother over who should get the last serving of mushroom pastie. Now that he was out here, he regretted the arguement completely. He was hot, for the sun was bearing down on him, and he had no protection other than the heavy hood of his novice's habit. He muttered mutinously under his breath. "No good fat brother. He had to have the last pastie. Well brother fatty, we'll see who's laughing later."
He paused from his work to wipe the sweat off his brow, and turned to see a creature walking up.

Indeed, there was a beast marching toward the bellringer. Goarr, with a knurled, clean-of-bark stick in her hand, marched along near the gardens. Her deep-brown eyes were blocked by eyelids as she pranced along. Her appron floated around her waist and her hood flapped behind her as the wind blew somewhat warmly. She hummed a little tune, a rythmic marching pattern that suited her little act.
Unknowning to her, she found herself marching straight toward the bellmouse, Nassu. With her eyes still closed, the little hedgehog dibbun pranced onward, rocks clanking along in her pockets.
(Stupid writer's block. It's been ailing me since March.)

((I completley understand. Mind if I join?))
Oaklea was staring with the ferocious intensity of the extremely bored at the black ant that was making his way leisurely across a brick in the battelments. After a few more intense, mind-numbing seconds, a droplet of sweat fell from her brow into the mousemaid's eye. Spitting out a guttural sound of disgust, Oaklea leapt to her feet and kicked the stone irresolutely.
"Owch," she hissed, exhaling slowly through her nose and straightening up. Her paw was throbbing, the sun seemed to be admonishing her for her foolishness, and the heat was unbearable.
Plus, she was bored.
Looking about in wan hope of spotting something interesting going on, Oaklea gingerly set her paw down and put weight on it. "Owch." Frowning, the mousemaid glared over the battlements at the tempting line of Mossflower Woods.
"Why did I ever come inside?" she muttered, her paw straying gingerly to the still-healing burns on her side. "As though my confounded sister would make it here so quickly. Pah. Nothing but every day domestics..." So bored.
Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, Oaklea spotted two beasts in the orchard. There were few others about--all sane creatures were avoiding the heat. What could these two be doing? One she recognized as Nassu, the bell ringer.
"Ahoy! What're you two up to down there?" Stumbling down the stairs and sprnting across the grass, Oaklea went sprawling as she tripped across a protruding tree root in her eagerness for somebeast to talk to.
"OWCH."
