What is this about?
Legends of Redwall Abbey - LoRA - is a fantasy role-playing site based on the Redwall Series by Brian Jacques.

What do you do here?
As a role-playing forum, members are allowed to create characters and portray their actions in a literary manner with others. Quests, individual adventures, and festivals constitute the bulk of most role-playing situations.

Am I allowed to use existing characters?
No. You will be allowed descendants of book characters on a case-by-case basis. We can't have you using characters from the books because it sets a timeframe for our world, which is set outside the time setting of any of Jacques' books.

I was on the old site. May I have my post count back?
Yes and no. You are allowed to have HALF of your total post count back for reasons of fairness to new members.

How many threads can I RP in at once?
You may role-play in approximately four threads simultaneously, anymore then that and it gets too difficult to keep up. Besides it doesn't make too much sense to have your character in different places at once; at the same time that is.

How many characters can I have?
At the current moment, the official limit stands at four per account, if your that enthusiastic about RPing you can make another character to house a further four or request to have an extra on your main account.

Keep in mind that the extras are granted to those who display an exceptional amount of RP skills.

Why is there a Character Limit?
To ensure the caliber of Role Playing remains at a decent level. Do the Math. If you have 11 characters, participating in 11 threads, that will take you darn well over an hour to finish posting, provided your posts are of mediocre quality.

Eventually you'll get sick of it and systematically abandon threads and characters. Some of the older members can testify to this fact.

Can I have... for my character?
Thanks for asking! Please look around to see what limits we have on that, such as age or whatever.

How about my 12 year old? Can he be a Brigadier?
Sorry, no! We have a list of ages in the Salamandastron Roster. Keep in mind, this is a general age. And just because your character is that old doesn't mean they will get the position. We look for leadership, experience and age in our officers. This could also go for characters like the Logalog or Abbot.

Why do you make me post my characters in separate threads? [Ash] didn't have to!
Well, that is because Ash is Ash, and I wasn't admin when he did that. Basically it is a lot easier for me, especially when I reorganize things. So please.
