History:
Dousen was born into an aristocratic vermin family. His father was a retainer and trusted warrior for an aristocratic vermin warlord. Dousen naturally followed in his father's footsteps. Learning the noble yet cut-throat code of the warlord's court, he became respected and feared as a polished and cruel warrior. Growing up, he learned the art of the sword and wrestling and eventually regularly applied it in combat against other vermin and goodbeasts. After many creatures had fallen to his sword, Dousen was awarded right to his own heraldry by the warlord.
Now considered a noble in the warlord's court, Dousen took on an energetic stoat as a squire. Though evil, Dousen felt a warm feeling of fatherhood toward his pupil.
Eventually, Dousen was leading an element of the warlord's horde. Upon defeating the fighters of a goodbeasts' village, the warlord ordered Dousen to slay the remaining mothers and children. He had very little problem slaying the mothers; he and his vermin cut them down swiftly. But as he raised his sword above the young babies, he hesitated. Those small creatures looked up at him with tearfully big eyes pleading for life. That helpless look caused his strength to give way and he stood limply unable to move. With the warlord yelling, the rest of the vermin pushed past him and began slaying the young. Dousen watched horrified as sword and axe blades were used against the young creatures.
After the incident, the warlord took away Dousen's heraldry and instead gave him a banner of shame, the peaceful white dove on a yellow background. Dousen was quite confused; from then on he began a great inner struggle to understand himself, what his life had been, and what course his life would take. In "disgrace", he left the warlord behind to piece his life back together.
