Name: Fluke Flute
Gender: Male
Age: 15 (60 Seasons)
Species: Squirrel
Occupation: Lives off the Land
Physical Appearance:
Fluke is a dashingly handsome squirrel hidden under an un-bathed, somewhat smelly coat of fur.
His coat is usually the commonly red color with a whitish undercoat. He has a great long bushy tail like most squirrels. Since he’s a rather young’un, Fluke is not very built. A bit scrawny for a warrior, but none the less he can defend himself like one. His eyes are as forest green as Mossflower woods in the peak of summer. His posture and all that gesture language exposes him as a lazy squirrel. He’s usually slouching or falling asleep, propped under a tree or a wall. Older beasts would probably want to give him a proper lesson in posture, and taking baths. He likes to pick reeds or straws which he chews on as he does what’s to do for the day. His clothing had once been a Redwaller’s robe. Modified into a small fitting green vest, and a brown died pair of paints which are held up with a makeshift rope belt. Some extra material was folded up into a headband that Fluke is never seen without.
Possessions
Fluke carries a great big combat pole around with him for defense. Other than that, he carries the clothes on his back, and the small provisions he survives on from day to day. Fluke Flute does not carry a flute on him, he has little to no musical talent.
Personality:
Fluke is that lazy character who does not like to do much of anything unless it’s an adventure. Chores, tasks, and especially bathing are not words in this young ones dictionary. His favorite words are quests, heroics, sleep, and food. He’s a very considerate fellow and always respects someone’s feelings, he just does not like anyone asking him to do anything that he does not feel like doing. If he can sleep, eat food, and help out when danger arrives, it‘s all good to him. He’s a very courageous, talented fighter for his age. He enjoys the company of other good beasts, even though his lifestyle thus far has been spent alone in the woods. He likes to make people laugh, and enjoy their time spent with him. He does not think of himself as a handsome squirrel, and a lot of beasts probably don’t know this because of all the mud and dirt in his coat. He never learned too much about taking baths, or giving a helping hand. It’s like wrestling an angry fox into the water when you try to force Fluke into a bath.
Strengths:
Fluke can be quite the heroic character when he wants. He usually lacks the motivation to do much of anything unless his or a friend's life is on the line. This squirrel is not short of courage when it counts. He has the energy and athletics even though he usually does not show it. He's a handsome character if that counts as a strength, though that trait is well hidden under his muddy and dirty coat.
Weaknesses:
As a counter balance to his good looks, Fluke did not learn too much about bathing as a dubbun, and is usually dirty or a bit smelly. He's not very motivated, you could really say that he's pretty lazy. Unless he really thinks that someone is in danger, he'll usually loaf around, or just go sleep under a nice old tree. He's also pretty young to be out on his own, his strength does not quite rank up to a full grown foe beast.
History:
Fluke was taken to Redwall at a very young age before he could have remembered anything before the abbey. His parents could not take care of him so they had the Redwallers take in the young dubbun. Fluke never got to know his parents, he never knew this but they always wanted to visit even though they could never make it. Whatever reason that was he grew use to not expecting his parents to visit him at the abbey. He couldn’t go searching for them since none of the Redwallers knew much of anything about his folks, and after awhile it really did not bother him anymore.
Something had always bothered him on the other hand, baths and chores. He hated them so much, and hated how the older beasts would always force them on him. When he was a bit older, he left the abbey without a word. Taking an unused rampart guard’s staff, a few provisions, and the Redwaller’s robe that was given to him. Over a few days he’d realized that the robe was not the most flexible thing to wear in Mossflower woods. Tearing and cutting it the best he could, the young squirrel actually made a half decent get together for himself. He even had enough material to make a headband for himself, which he fashions that he’ll wear till the end of his days.
Fluke got quite use to knowing his way around Mossflower woods. Where and what he should eat, how to avoid danger, and where to sleep during the night. Seemed like the lazy squirrel was pretty good at providing for himself. When he was done gather food for the day, he’d usually either take a nap somewhere or practice using his combat pole. He’d even had quite a few battles with the random vermin travelers lost out in the woods. Never killed any beast, just gave them a good whacking before he high-tailed it out away from the scene. Yep, everything was good living, nobody to answer too besides his own grumbling tummy. All except that he was young, and often times craved someone to talk too. He recently decided to travel back to the old abbey, see if anyone recognized him from years ago when he was only a small fry.
Relationships:
He’s somewhat of a young hermit.

I'm an illustraitor so I'll be drawing Fluke up at some time, I'll also accept character requests. Though you should know that I'm very busy, and requests will always be on the bottom of my list.
