Theurl is a plump little mouse. He has dark brown fur which is matted most of the time. He has a longer face than normal. His ears are larger than most, but that helps in his hearing. He is usually seen in a long grey tunic, and in the winter time he has a black cloak on.

Personality:
Theurl is very caring. He loves other creatures and forms bonds with them. He doesn't talk a lot, but when he does its very insightful. He loves to learn new things and tries different things all the time. He wants to one day be the guardian of Redwall just like Martin.
Strengths:
Theurl is very witty. This gets him in trouble and sometimes out of trouble. He uses this gift very advatageously. He likes to think up military strategies even though he lives at Redwall abbey where nothing bad really occurs.
Weaknesses:
Theurl has a weakness for food. He eats to much and is starting to develop a gut. He is not very good at balancing, so he tries to avoid it, but the other dibbuns always have balancing contests. He isn't very good at climbing either. He tries and wants to be a good climber, but he just isn't.
History:
Theurl was born in the peaceful lands to the east of Mossflower. His family was part of a traveling theater troupe that wanders all over the land. He never knew his mother as she died after giving birth to him. His father somewhat blamed him for the death of his wife. Theurl's sisters cared for him until the fire. A huge fire broke out during one of the performances in Mossflower. Theurl was rescued by his older sister Logan, and they left their old lives behind. They moved around for a season and just recently found Redwall Abbey.
