"Thank ye kindly, sirrah." Rorclen dipped her head courteously to the seargent. Even if she was of a higher rank than Gorsebloom, she had once served under him, and as a more experienced warrior, he deserved respect.

Trickio had long since been lost in the hare jargon, but pounced upon the thread of speech quickly at the mention of Ashstripe. "Will 'e be the Badger sittin' up there in charge o' everythin', then? Good, I haven't lost me bet." She smiled, pleased with herself. Several weeks ago, before setting out to the mountain, she had gotten into an argument (nothing new there) with other shrews over whether Ashstripe, lord of Salamandastron had died yet. She'd actually placed her bet on him being sickly in old age, but that counted as still living and she didn't seem to remember her err in judgment. "Is 'e home from some WARR or another?"

Rorclen raised her eyebrows. "Ah daen't know. Ah've been away for a lang time, lass. Ask Gorsebloom." She was courious herself, having been a long way away and not hearing anything of Salamandastron since she left.

OOC: Theurl -- One liners are forbidden
BIC:
A hare appeared behind the trio, a stern look upon his face. "The bloody battle's over." The hare said slowly, recalling the events in which he partook. "At least... My role's done in it." The hare added slowly, still hating himself for the events in which he partook. While Ash was away, someone had to watch the mountain, and who better then General Zephyr Swiftfire of the Long Patrol? It was a self appointed job, but still, Zephyr felt the need necessary. "How do ye do Rorclen? Haven't seen ye around these parts, much, wot." His previous stern attitude subsided, and the stern look morphed into a wide grin as he saw Rorclen.
He walked over there and patted her on the back, "Good ta' have ya back here, wot! Gld ye didn't bally well get yaself killed, marm. We would've been out of a good warrior, doncha know!" The general laughed lightly to himself, recalling the events of which he was met up again with his newphew. But with that thought came the grave though that he endlessly tried to push from his mind. He would never forgive himself for the loss of his brother, Jacksaw. Of course, he took it to heart, for he felt that if he was there, then maybe it would've been him gone, and not Jacksaw.
Zephyr once again pushed that thought away to the back of his mind and allowed the grin to form once more on his face. "How do ya do, ole' chap?" He asked, the question directed at Trickio, though Gorsebloom could answer if he liked. "General Zephyr Swiftfire of the Long Patrol!" He declared proudly, holding out his hand to the shrew. It's been long since he had conversed with a shrew, and he was glad to do it again.

Gorsebloom came swiftly to attention. He brought up his arm to a salute. " Sir, sorry sir. I didn't see you there. I would have introduced you has soon as you came down."

Elicia Pittney pounded up to the Lookout, paws on her black belt. When she reached the top, "Blasted sun!" were her first words to the crowd gathered there before she stood still with shock. She had not seen anyone on her way up here, and had assumed that it was empty. "Oh, um, then, oh well, old chaps! Can't help what you've blinkin' already done, wot?" She smiled at everyone. "Elicia Pittney, Long Patrol hare!" She stood smiling for an awkward second. "Well, say something! Ye look like a bunch of bloomin' pansies, standin' there, staring at me! I never did nothing, sirrah, nothin'!" Elicia turned a half circle, to try and recognize everybeast, but she started when she saw the General. "Oh, oh, blast it, sah, sorry sah!" Elicia saluted Zephyr. "General, sah, sorry, didn't see you, blasted sun's in me eyes, sah! 'Pologize, sah! Didn't mean to, really, sah!" By the end Elicia had managed to add a bit of a mocking tone to her voice. She really wanted to annoy the General just a little bit-just enough that it was funny...but not enough that she'd get in trouble for insubordination. That had happened to her a few too many times for her liking.
