(Would have posted sooner, but the way things have been...)
Luna sat at one of the benches of the hall, whistling quietly to herself. There was a large assortment of bottles near her, all alcoholic. She picked one up, reading it's label. "Winter of the Frozen Sword' what a good season." She said out loud, but instead of drinking it she took a rag from nearby and soaked it in some of the bottle's content before stuffing some of it down into the bottle. Luna was constructing flaming coc, ktails, (Not sure if that's right) having found them useful in a few of her previous sieges. She placed the finished thingytail in another group with several other bottles, and was reaching for another when she heard the slightest of sounds behind her. She drew her sword instantly, turning to face the unseen intruder.

It was a rare thing almost a myth, none were sure of it's existence. But Breeze's instinct was playing up slightly, he was well aware of Ashstripe's wary stance upon Luna and her horde but he had always assumed him to be paranoid. After all, if they didn't help each other, they'd both die and as much as one group would like the other to die, they didn't want the third horde winning.
He had attempted to stalk her for some time, trailing her and her commanders for any evidence of suspicious behavior; intelligence gathering and the like. From there he could plant false information by 'feigning' his ignorance in reciting the patrol's routes and their specific shifts out-loud. But this was something of an oddity.
Walking very slowly and casually he eventually drew closer at the sign of her weapon being drawn his mind clicked 'Act casual. He leaned forward, his trademark grin broadly making an appearance, "'ow goes it m'arm?" He greeted politely, all the while observing what was behind her.
She has a lot more in common with 'is Lordship then she thinks..Another drunk., "Y'wouldn't be goin' through 'is Lordships drinks now, wot?" He giggled slightly, "Since th' last time some pore soul tried.." He shook his head grimly, the 'pore soul' in question was himself but he wasn't going to share that anytime soon.

Luna just blinked at him, her expression a mix of suspician, surprise and annoyance. After a moment shew sheathed her sword and sat back down. "I'm just fixin' up a surprise for our friends down on the beach." She said, grinning mischievously. She turned back to her work, keeping an ear out for any sounds of movement. "Ye' can help me if ya' want to. Though, it's a rather dull smelly job..." She trailed off picking up another bottle and rag, glancing back at Breeze to see if he understood.

"We're gonna make 'em drunk then take th' blighters out? Good show m'arm!" He grinned again, "Glad t'help th' war effort eh? Wot!" Without waiting for a response and before anyone could've said 'no' he placed himself beside her quickly examining all the bottles in front of him. That was rather odd, they all have rags in them. Perhaps Luna wanted to apply it to knock them out instead? Breeze was unsure.

"I'm preparin' a special concoction that I found useful in a battle once. I was on the defendin' side: We'd jus' captured the enemy stronghold, when another horde comes up behind us. They had plans to steal our victory, and we didn' have much time. Some of my men, I'm sorry to say, were takin' this time ta' loot from the fallen fortress. I bumped into some of 'em on the wall and we had an interstin' row which ended with me throwing the entire box of beer and wine off the side of the wall, along with a torch tha' had been in my way. The whole thing lit up, and that's when I found out abou' what this stuff could do when flame was added. I had my soldiers round up as many bottles as possible, soak 'em in this stuff, light them and than toss it at the enemy. It was a small bi' o help, but it went a long way in unnerving the enemy and helped break theirelines. So, when presented with another situation where I'd be defenden' a fortress, I took it upon myself to liberate these bottles and see if it would work now like it did then." Luna finished her story with smile at the memory before getting back to work. "So... where's Ashstripe? I suspec' I should know where he is so tha' he can't sneak up behind me with a sword ready to chop my head off."

"Well that sounds like a blinkin' jolly good show eh? Wot?" Breeze chuckled, he liked this idea, perhaps he had just discovered his love of fire, for the sake of those around him he hoped not. "Eh? Th' grumpy ol' sod's probably sulkin' in 'is Forge somewhere, or trainin'. Never a dull moment with 'im wot?" To be honest, Breeze wasn't sure, but that was Ashstripe's routine, if he wasn't in his forge doing who knows what, he was in the Training hall training himself or abusing the recruits; he called it a 'crash course'.
If he wasn't in any of those locations he would more or less be drinking and brewing ales, a love which he had developed of late. Which sure made Breeze wonder if anyone in the whole Mountain was remotely normal and not eccentric in some way.
"So erm, is this th' ticket wot?" He grabbed a rag and mimicked Luna's previous actions somewhat, he wasn't too sure why or how this worked but he was willing to give it a try.

"Yeah, just put enough so that the fumes 'ill still be there in the mornin'." Luna said, overseeing Breezes work. 'To much, an' there will only be a small bursting of flames. To little and you have to spend more time with i' an' it migh' no' work." Luna said, pouring some on a rag. She put it down next to the other and picked up one that already had a rag in it. She sniffed it and smiled. "This one stinks o' the drink, so i's a good one." She said putting it down. Luna worked on another one before asking a few questions. "So, what dya think Ash will do if he spots us using 'is drinks as a new weapon?"

Breeze placed down the bottle he was working on momentarily, that thought hadn't occurred to him and even he could put two and two together knowing that Ashstripe was sensitive about his liquor. "First 'e'd think we're nippin' 'is drinks, then 'e'd be furious t'notice that we've been throwin' 'em as bombs." If Breeze knew Ashstripe like he think he did, he would consider it a waste of good booze, after all it was one of the few thing's that allowed Ashstripe to maintain his sanity; he claimed many things were too much for him.
Many times in the past had Breeze suggested alternatives, laughing for one example, though he didn't quite word his suggestion well enough to give Ashstripe pause before he pummeled him.

"I think there's some o' the long patrol's drink in this assortmen' to." Luna commented, looking at some of the bottles. Her grin widened. "Don' think I'm gonna make to many friends this way." She commented out loud, glancing at Breeze to see if he agreed with her assessment.

Breeze's eye's widened at the loss of some of the Long Patrol's liquor, he wasn't much of a drinker compared to many of the other's but many a time had he mistaken one drink for another and unpleasant results followed. "Nay, I doubt y'would m'arm wot!" He grinned at her little joke, it was strange how casual he was feeling around Luna. After all she had captured him during the war, but that was a hazy black-spot he'd rather forget.

Luna continued grinning at the thought as she worked, but slowly the grin faded. She wasn't feeling so uneasy anymore, but her mind began to drift to after the battle. Luna glanced around the mess hall, taking note of the stonework, trying to avoid asking herself one question that could ruin the rest of this battle. She looked at Breeze again, her expression still somber. "Why does Ashstripe 'ave all these drinks?" She asked him, wanting to think of someone else's problem rather than her own at the moment.

Breeze was dumbfounded, in truth he had never asked that question himself, he always assumed what everyone else assumed; he was a drunkard. But he rarely got drunk, he brewed the drinks that could knock out the sturdiest of hare's yet he stood slightly swaying, "Y'know..I'm not too blinkin' sure..'E says it's to deal with th' problems." He grinned sheepishly, he'd have to ask for himself one of these days.

'What problems?" Luna asked, standing up. She was tired of staring at the bottles and smelling the booze. She hated the stuff, hated everything about it. Luna never knew why, but just the sight of it made her want to crush it. She drew her sword, taking a deep breath, and began to do a complicated series of slashes, thrusts and parries against an unseen foe, all the while listening for Breeze's answer.

Breeze shrugged, "That's where y'know as much as I do, 'e never says since we always ask as 'e's drinkin'..By th' time we reach that blinkin' stage he's already lost his mind laughin' at imaginary butterflies wot wot!" He shook his head once more, only now he was beginning to realize Ashstripe wasn't exactly in a healthy state of mind.

"Butterflies? Funny, never figured 'em for an insect lovin' guy." Luna said, pausing in her imaginary duel. She continued for a few minutes longer before sheathing her sword and returning to the table. "I suppose we all 'ave our lil quirks." She said, looking at one pottle that was covered in dust.

Breeze nodded, "'E's got a lot more then 'e let's on 'is Lordship does.." Breeze kept a somewhat stern look with his best efforts not to laugh after his realization of how odd what he said really was. "Oh that we do..I'm probably the only normal 'are in th' blinkin' Mountain wot!" He grinned, this was far from the truth but that was one of his quirks, a horrible liar.

"Than yer all pipin mad." Luna replied, chuckling to herself as she contniued weaponizing the drinks. "Aye, with this much insanity goin' around I should probably leave soon to avoid catching it." Her chuckling stopped, and her smile seemed to disappear. She stared of into the distance, lost in thought...

Breeze grinned and laughed uneasily at her reply, it brought reality crashing down somewhat after all they were only temporary allies. How was this going to play out after the current situation had been dealt with? Breeze was unsure, but he couldn't name a single instance in his life where he had been sure of anything, he'd make it up as he goes along, "Turnin' drinks into flamin' weapons, I beg yore pardon but I think y'already caught it m'arm eh? Wot?" He grinned foolhardily, dismissing his previous internal philosophical debate.

"True, when ya' star' looking at everythin' as a weapon, ya' may have crossed inta crazing town." Luna replied, looking at the drink in her paw which has been converted into an explosive of some sort. She smiled at it after a moment. "Sanity was borin' anyway. I much prefer to be out o' my mind than in it. There's more space outside."
(Sorry it took me so long to reply, but it's been that kind of week.)

((Hey, no worries. We all get those.))
Breeze laughed loudly which slowly morphed into a grin, "Aye that's th' bally ticket wot?" He slapped her on the back heartily and grinned broadly, "If'n's I 'ad been in me mind I'd o'suffocated a few seasons ago eh? Wot!" He broke into another fit of laughter and smiles, bringing to mind the old saying of simple things amuse simple minds.
