Hello all, I'm new to LoRA and I'd like a little advice. First off, what's the best way to get involved in an rp with RedWall? Isn't there a current rp going on that the whole story revolves around? As said I'm a squirrel that goes by the name of Sam Gideon. He's from Mossflower but his family migrated to RedWall. Oh a little about myself. First I love talk radio, I love reading, and finally I love the martial arts. Thank you all for your time and answers!  |

Salutations, and whatnot. To your questions: Well, as you know, I'm new myself, and I'm still figuring this out. However, there are a few things I can say. First of all, yes, there is a central plot to the forum currently, which you can read about here. However, that involves several threads throughout the forum, and I'm fairly sure it's permissible to have completely unrelated roleplays. Second, again, I'm not an authoritative source, but my experience so far has presented two methods: A. To get some friends together and form a basic setting, then to create an open thread from there, and march forward. B. To find a thread labeled [OPEN] and find a way of integrating into the extant plot. So, hoped that helped, sir Gideon. As for me, I'm a rat, and I enjoy being one. I'm cowardly, cruel, and conservative, the three c's of evil, so you would do well to begin hating me about now. Still, I don't dislike squirrels in particular (it's the hares I can't stand), so welcome to the forum ^_^ Enjoy your stay, and should you run into my dearest Maximillian, be nice and say hello. He's getting very lonely these days, and that usually leads him into all sorts of malfeasant activities. |

Hi, sir Gideon. Don't let Yves scare you. I might, but that's just because most people on this site are slightly loony.  Okay, not in a bad way, but you've been warned! ^^" Alright, so, yah, there is a plot we just started that is getting underway. It's not required for you to post there with a character, you can start any random thread and keep it going that is separate from the plot. Anyway, hope ya' enjoy it here!  |

Welcome welcome!...Aren't I a bit late? I don't care.
Yves essentially summed it up. I find that 9/10 times if you start a thread when you've just joined the site and don't know anyone, you won't be having much if any, company. Some of us try to join in and all that, but some of us are spread thin enough as it is.
But if you join an active thread, you'll likely get a nice slice of the action.
