Peliot had ranged far and wide in his recent travels. He had been over by Salamandastron a few weeks back. He had traversed the canyons and was now back in the cool shade of the trees of Mossflower. He had no where special to be so he thought he would go by and see his good friends at Redwall. They were always nice to him and provided him with the best vittles in all the world.
He was sitting in the shade of an ancient oak tree with the hood of his patched cloak over his head. He was dozing a little bit, what with the sun coming down through the screen of foilage and the sound of the birds calling out to each other in the distance. He snapped out of his respite when he thought he heard a twig snap.

Travioso had been siting in the bows of an oak twittering with one of his arrows that would just not maintain balance with the flint-tip head. Travi would not normally be out in the beautiful foliage of Mossflower Wood, nor would he be up in a tree, but he needed a place of solitude while the creatures of Redwall calmed down from his latest misdemeanor. He was up in this tree when a squirrel walked into the peaceful glade and sat beneath Travi's oak. Wellll, what do we be a havin' here? Travi thought to himself as he put the feisty arrow back in his quiver. The squirrel seemed peaceful enough, but Travi didn't want to take any chances. He watched the creature's movements, until he remembered that otters, although very agile, do better in the water than in trees. He tried to adjust his position, but his rudder bumped into a small branch that could not take the weight and broke with a loud SNAP! Aw shoot, Travi berated himself with a few sea otter words that would have gotten him a good tongue washing at Redwall and peered down to see if the squirrel had noticed the noise.
(I'm new at this, how do you think I did?)
