Name:
Stoakly Atrox Centurio Nicknames/Aliases:
"Stoak", and much to his dismay - Stoakers. Gender:
Male Age:
Thirty-two Species:
Ferret [neutral] Occupation:
Blacksmith
Physical Appearance:[General] Dark, obsidian lenses, ever perceiving of the faintest detail, are set solemn in place, typically gazing through the light patch of fur stretching across his face; even when pleased, they are seldom to brighten, leading to an alarming first impression - this is not helped by his banditlike mask. Scholarly and intellectual, the ferret keeps his eyes set forward - so shadowed by the mask across his face, clouding his true intentions and other creatures' impression of him - while he is observing even the lightest of colors, the least significant of creatures, the small and typically unnoticed who live their lives overlooked by their larger, nobler peers. The orbs are but sunk into his face, as if hiding behind the mask which darkens his view of the world, speaking little and observing much; few, short lashes veil his eyes, and these are usually unnoticed behind the even darker patch of fur.
One can read the pages of the ferret's history in his poise; he stands at the average, grown ferret's height, roughly shorter than most of his species. Stoakly walks with an ambiance of apathy, to an extent; he cares little for what most care about, thus slouching slightly, and moving with little grace or joy in his stance. What is hidden within him is an unexplainable joy mustered over many seasons gone by, redemption of his soul in his own eyes and others, and what is seen as melancholy brooding is simply an dissatisfaction with most creatures' wealth of intellect. Little thought of posture is placed in his stance, and in addition to his suspiciously shadowed face, he can appear bizarre or even frighten others to a certain degree; if he is a creature prone to superficiality, he would be a walking paradox.
Accompanied with his light, chocolate brown coat, a pale yellow underbelly is a common trait of most polecats - or ferrets, as they are more commonly known. He is by no means a handsome creature, but Stoakly grooms himself on a day-to-day basis, endeavoring to look prim and proper - his personality dictates his appearance in a surprisingly obvious manner. However, with his average height, proper dialect, prim and almost meak appearance, some can begin to doubt his strength and resolve. As a blacksmith, working in the forge and lifting heavy metals everyday, the ferret is stronger than his height portrays; his attire does no justice to his muscle, and some see him as a slender, feminine figure. Paws calloused by hammering and forging often, the true strength of his now aging body is exceptional in regards to his stature.
[Attire] His heritage, living in a rickety village on the shore of southwestern Mossflower, and fabrics currently available all effect his choice for attire. The ferret decides to wear a simple lincoln green tunic, sleeveless, that drops down to his knees. Underneath, a chestnut brown shirt drops to his hip, the darker sleeves concealing his muscular arms built from years of hard labor. A pair of beige drawers - only visible from the knees down - is also worn by the ferret. Because of the limited resources of the southlands, Stoakly wears an attire entirely consisted of wool; the summer heat, in addition to the fabric, is a large reason for his migration to the northern lands with a milder, cooler climate. With the rise of his wealth - both in part to his use as a recorder and writer for various locations as well as his smithing trade - he can now afford intricate embroidery; tablet-woven braids decorate the neck, hem, and wrists of his tunic, adding to his prim appearance. A newer addition - largely in part to his newfound wealth - is the feathercap that sits atop his head, in between his pointy ears. A white swan feather sticks out from the cap, and his appearance is complete; it his impossible to deny his rugged background with his strength and common clothing, but his newer intellectual and scholarly touch is also visible.
Possessions:
Being the scholarly ferret that he is, books are the largest concern of Stoakly. He collects and reads them in haste, rummaging through vendors' stalls through the woodland for any writings of importance. Other than his collection of books, he cares little for material objects, caring more, rather, for nature and its beauty, his eyes ever observing of even the smallest of details and the faintest of beauties.
