Pens and Mocha

What is the point of this forum, you ask?

At its simplest, Pens and Mocha is a group of aspiring authors, a group of people who want to learn to express themselves better. And indeed, this forum is a place for writers of all kinds to learn and to teach. Yet, there's more to it than that. Members come to enjoy themselves—to enjoy the poetry and prose, the fiction and non-fiction, but above all each other. Here is a place to meet new people who all have some interest in the written word.

So that is what we are—a community that strives for growth in writing, a diversity of writing, and friendship among writers.

edit: Obviously, affiliation right now is impossible, as I can't seem to get your banner coding to work with Zetaboards coding. If someone could explain to me how to do this, however, I'd be glad to fill in for ya.

Proboards coding and Zetaboards coding are different now? =P.

It's just basic, good old HTML, ought to work wherever you stick it. Though I'm not familiar with the structure of Zetaboards or how much freedom you have in terms of skins and customisation and all that.

But! If you are able to insert your own code anywhere at all, that should make it possible to affiliate - though seeing as I have no real idea of what your options are, I doubt I could offer much help.

Bah, humbug xP We're all novices at the craft. You're a better writer than me, and I'm the founder.

And I'll work on figuring out the affiliation codes. Zetaboards doesn't take HTML, and I'm not very good about figuring out Zetaboards coding. A friend of mine is responsible for the skin; I'll talk to her.

Mind, however, that right now I have less that two days until my final exams of the year. So even though I intend to sign up RIGHT FLIPPIN' NOW, I won't be likely to have anything up for a week, at least. I'm not sure what I'll be doing in the first few weeks of summer vacation, but I'll try my hardest to post. Yves, you're a genius.

But I suppose, I may yet join if that's how it is =). I was under the impression that it'd be a more serious writers site. By which I mean, really hardcore; professionals and the like.

That's odd actually, I've yet to hear of a single web-site that doesn't rely on or use the basic web languages; namely Java, JavaScript and HTML. At least to an extent anyways - but what do I know?

Edit: Ah. I see. A little digging on my part shows they don't accept HTML or BBC codes, or something to that extent due to a security risk, it'll be implemented in the future though - least that's what their support boards say.

Unfortunately, as a sixteen year old high-school student, I don't have the connections necessary to set up a hard-core professional site . Pens and Mocha is for anyone and everyone interested in writing, but so far we're just a bunch of college and high-school kids.

But that's beside the point. Regardless of anyone's skill level, we'd love to have ya, Ashstripe ^_^
