Fernleaf's battle experience from when he was n a vermin horde asserted itself after such a long time. He leaped backwards, avoiding the dagger. He twisted, now on all fours, still clutching Martin's sword, and leaps up. The silence, the sense of something watching him had made him alert. "Vermin! Now justice will be done on you!" He jupmed up and approached Rose.

The lizard blinks, then she begins to laugh. Its a slow croaking laugh that quickly becomes a cackle. "That's rich, coming from a beast like you." she stands back. One paw on her fleshy hip the other tossing the dagger up and down she asks, "So what you? A woodlander ferret? Or are you some sort of pet mascot?"
Rose catches the dagger by the blade, throwing it at the ferret's head before lunging at him with her claws.

Fernleaf brandished the sword, ducking the knife. "I'll let Martin's sword speak for me, murderer!" The sword was now an extension of his body, and he thrusted with it.

The blade judges the lizard and it judges her harshly. The lizard twists and turns as the sword comes for her, narrowly avoiding being impaled by the gleaming metal blade.
These pacifist monks are certainly proving to be better fighters than Rose thought possible. She can see the writing on the wall. Tired and injured as she was, this fight could only end with her bleeding out on the floor.
"So that's the sword of marten? That little rat poker? Thats the blade my boss wanted? I think your blade will be better suited for digging ditches!" she taunts as she turns tail to run, dashing through a door way and into a small ocfice. The office is empty of beasts but filled with scrolls sprawled over a desk and a small tapastry of martin the warrior on one wall.
The lizard how ever only cares about the window. She needs to put some distance between herself and this sword beast so she throws it open and slides her self through.
There was a time Redtail could have easily slid through the window, scurring down the wall to safety. Now though? She can not seem to pull her years of rich food and fine wine through the narrow window. The lizard is stopped short as she tries to squeeze her gut into the window. "This...this isn't fair..." the lizard whines.
When it becomes painfully obvious that she will only succeed in wedging her self stuck in the window Rose slips back into the room looking for another escape rout, only to realize she has boxed herself in.
Voice devoid of bluster or sarcasm Rose gulps, drawing another slender knife and watching the door. "T-this can't be happening...I'm Redtail the master thief! I...I can escape anything! This can not be happening!"
(Her fate is in your paws mr. Fernleaf ^.^ your next post is guarenteed to be successfull)

"Oh, but it can!" said Fernleaf, entering the room. "Your reign of terror is at an end." He rushed Rose, swinging Martin's sword, and relieving the lizard of her head. It was over at last! Though he didn't feel brave, he thought he was going to be sick. But his eyes were on the tapestry of Martin, and he bowed his head.

"No! Please..." the lizard had backed up into the wall, fat belly rising and falling with each paniced breath. "This cant be..." are her last words as the sword cleanly slices through her rolls of flesh about her neck. Her head tumbles away like a mellon, a look of shock and surprise etched on her face. The sound of foot steps brings a pair of mice into the room. They skid to a hault, shocked at the sight before them. "You...you got attacker I see." Says one as he shields his eyes. The other mouse clutches at his muzzle quickly turning away from the scene and wishing he had not eaten so much at the feast. The picture of martin the warrior does not move from the tapestry, nor respond to the ferrets bow. He stands there in the middle of a battle. Looking triumphant. The battle was won! (Geeze Rose, don't lose your head! Lol! If you want to wrap up thats fine. Im not sure we can continue with out all the other players so what would you like to do now? I can spoof Baro coming back to the abbey if we need to saying the vermin released them or...something o.o)
