Baro was still breathing deeply, shock and adrenoline working its way out of his system. "Yeah, that crazy otter was planning to..." the fox pauses before he blurts out how the otter planned to gut and skin him, less he give this vermin lot any wild ideas.
"She was planning on robbing me." He says simply. "Now do you want me to lead you to the sword or not?"
------
"I'm dead. So dead." Surprisingly enough it wasn't the fear of death that drove Rose onward but the fear of her reputation as a thief ending with, 'and lo, the infamous thief met her end at the paws of pacifists.'
She wasn't going to end like that. Not her. The lizard half runs, half staggars towards the rear of the abbey. Unfortunetly her current almost tribal garb made her stand out in the abby even more than being a lizard.
She needed to hide, lay low until this blew over. A disquise would help with that...
She found the door to the kitchens...or perhaps it was the laundry room, she was hoping it was the latter but she couldn't be sure. She would take either at the moment as both should be deserted at this time of night.
So she is almost as surprised as the mouse when she opens the door and comes face to face with the novice. The mouse let out a startled terrified squeak. It was purely reactionary. He was even going to appologize for over reacting and suspecting the lizard was here to kill him simply because she was a lizard.
Unfortunetly Rose WAS here to make trouble for the abbey, and the novice was about to alert the guards to his pressence.
So she stabbed him.
Only once was needed. The mouse let out an estranged gasp as the dagger stabbed into his chest. Rose's aim was off due to her injurry so it got caught on the ribs before plunging deeper into his vitals. At least too deeply...
And then Rose kicked him in the gut to move him out of the way. "Sorry! You seem like a nice mouse!" Rose calls out to the beast as she leaps over him. She thanks all that is holy for finding herself in the laundry room.
Grabbing the first robe she can find the lizard quickly tosses it on as she walks, leaving the novice laying sprawlled out on the floor gasping and clutching at his chest wound.
"H-help..." he stammers. "Help me!" Before he passes out in shock...

(Sorry for the delay)
Some beasts with sense were on the chase at least, maybe he could let the pain in his leg finally subside from the strain he put on it. Then Lance noticed the mouse coming back and sighed deeply, so much for that he thought to himself as he straightened up as best he could with a grunt. "I take it they escaped then? Or did you just come to see if I was alright? Or both maybe?" He asked once the mouse bard reached him, his profession quite clear in the moonlight as it shone down in front of him.
(Hey pillar, if Lance and Knar do meet again...how should they react?)

## Alright - so much is going on in different location so I sum up what has happened thus far. Hopefully it will help you think what you alt could do next x)
1# Racca got away. She's out of your reach right now as she is on her way to inform about the failure of locating the sword.
2# Steck is with Lance. Truslo and Fernleaf went after Rose(?)
3# Rose Redtail is hiding inside the Abbey and your alts can try caught her. She just stabbed redwall-mouse and put on some robes from the laundry… And now it seems she tries to blend in as one of the travelers that reside in the Abbey
4# The poor mouse is right now bleeding out in front of laundry-room. Me thinks he needs help…..
...I hope I didn't miss anything important.... ##
-----
Knar started to be satisfied with the answers the sparrow provided. Or at least for the time being. If Racca and Redtail hadn't managed to locate the sword, at least he had some information where to look the weapon. And then there was this fox, thought Knar wasn't sure, if it was wise to trust the vulpine: would he really lead them to the sword -- or would he seize the opportunity try and warn the abbeydwellers? Well, it mattered little -- there was little time to be over-cautious. But if the vulpine indeed would try something fishy, Knar would make sure that trick would be the fox final mistake.
Knar gave the fox a quick look. "In time. Right now yah both---"
"Hey, look! It's Racca!"
Interrupted Knar turned to look over his shoulder and indeed it was Racca - and one of the scouts they had left behind to keep eye on the Redwall - merging from the shadows of the trees, running like the ghost of Dark Forest were right on their tail. That wasn't a good sign.
"Guard the captives", Knar growled and turned wholly towars the comers, walking up to meet them. Seeing the weasel had made a small frown appear between Knar's eyes. Racca's sudden appearance in here wasn't part of their plan... So it meant that something had gone wrong in the Abbey or otherwise the weasel wouldn't be here against the orders she had been given.
"What's the meaning of this?", Threenail's demanded in high pitched voice, he being the first one to greet the two beasts. Like Knar, the rat could also comprehend that the thief's early return could mean bad news -- but not necessary for him! It had been the giant's idea send the thieves to the Abbey and if something had gone wrong... Oh, what delight it would be nail the failure on that bastard pine marten!
A stoat and a weasel stood next to the Baro and Flourwing, keeping an eye on both of the captives. The stoat looked down at the Baro, stared for a moment and then slowly tilted his head to the side like he was thinking something very hard. Then he poked his tribe-mate with his elbow, pointing his finger at the fox. "Hey… this yellow-liver's mug looks familiar -- are we met milk-drinker like him before?" he asked from his partner who, due to the stoat's words, turned his eyes onto Baro's face. At first the weasel expression was indifferent, but then it turned thoughtful. "…Now 'dat you mention… Me thinks me have seen 'dat muzzle somewhere..."
-----
Luckily the ferret didn't seems to be badly injured, though he did have some difficulties to stand up straight. But when Lance asked about the fleeing beasts, Steck had only bad news for the ferret. "I regret to inform you one of them indeed managed to escape", the bard said. But Steck was nothing but optimistic. "But Truslo and Fernleaf went after the other one… They might have a better luck than I did… Who were those beasts anyway?"
An explanation was in order and Steck hoped Lance could provide some. There has to be a reason why suddenly they were chasing after unknown fleeing beasts in middle of the night.
# Coyote: Are you okay if Baro gets recognise by some Redgladers? ^^ (after all it hasnät been THAT long when Steck and Baro escaped the Fangfort) soldier: that's a very good question… we have no means to predict how things will end up in DDD… So what if we just presume they parted their ways without any ill will? (since that seem the most likely outcome) #

Fernleaf was hot on the trail of Rose. "REDWALLLLLL" he cried as he ran after her. He was now into the role of Redwall Warrior. He hoped Truslo was with him. Suddenly, he smelled blood. Not in the beloved Abbey! It made him see red. All that he loved was in danger. He ran as if his life depended on it, following the scent. He went in the open door and saw the mouse on the floor. He looked to Steck and sheathed the sword of Martin. "Help me, Steck. This mouse is wounded badly." His talent as a healer was now more needed than his persona of a warrior.
ooc: WHat happened to the scene with the Abbot?

Flourwing let out a small sigh of relief, at least things weren't going horribly awry for Baro and her...yet. The young Sparrow did her utmost not to fidget much, no clue what could set off a beast with power like this, and stayed quiet despite her misgivings about if Baro led them to the sword if it wasn't there. Nervously looking from stoat to weasel as the pair of them spoke about knowing Baro, she shuffled from one foot to the other a bit. Looking to the fox she'd followed out here, the baker-bird tilted her head just a bit, did he know them after all, and could she trust him not to go leaving her to them if he used his offer to find the sword as a means of escape.

Baro flashes the bird a wary look then nervously smiles to the vermin. "M-me? Naaaaah. I don't leave the abby much. You must got me confused with soke other handsom brown fox. There are a surprising ammount of us brown foxes these days."
Where did they know him from? Did he owe them money? Why would they...
The fox pauses. Vermin horde beasts. Wearing red. No, it couldn't be. Swollowing a gulp of air Baro pushes himself upward, sitting up and then standing. "So, are we ready to press on? Those Redwallers will miss us soon if we don't leave...right now." He calls to the martens turned back.
-----
Sibyl needed to leave. She needed to leave right now. But the guards would be checking the gates by now. She needed to hide...she needed to hide. Once the beasts discovered the body of the mouse they would search up and down the entire abby.
So for now she needed to keep moving, keep ahead of the guards and duck behind them to where they already searched. Just, as soon as her head stopped throbbing.
It was a testiment to her endurance that she was still standing, what with the way the room kept moving.
Coming into the great hall the lizard cast her cloak over her head, keeping her dagger inside the cuff of her sleeve. The robe left only the tip pf her tail exposed as she walked quickly along the wall. Carefully avoiding the pockets of activity in the great hall.
Speaking of activity...
The mouse bellowed out a loud cry of pain as the ferret hovered over him. Suddenly with out warning the mouse grabbed the shirt of Fernleaf, pulling him close. "V-ver-vermin...in the abby. You can't...can't trust..." his body falls limp as he drifts in and out of unconceousness.

Not very good, but not very bad as of yet from what Stecks told him. "I know these beasts as much as you do, which isn't much." Lance replied back as he thought on this, usually vermin as hes known most aren't that smart overall and tend to follow another whos either stronger or smarter....or both. "I'm more worried if theres more then those two not far from here."
---
The hedgehog kept up quite easily and was surprised by his actions thus far, which got his spirits up quite. When he saw Fernleaf head towards a open door heading into the Abbey and then he smelled it...faint at first but as he got closer and closer....he slowed down and finally stopped just some distance away. Everything stood stock still and grew silent for the young hedgehog, the injured mouse saying something to Fernleaf before going limp...he couldn't hear what was said exactly. All that mattered is the....blood, the blood in front of him....all of it...then he felt his legs wobbling and incredibly nauseous. He fell onto his side limp without warning, unconsciousness before his body even hit the ground with a thump.

Fernleaf moaned. Just what he needed, a hedgehog who fainted at the sight of blood. He bent down and slapped the hedgehog. "Come on, snap out of it. I need you, and so does this poor mouse. We need to get him to the infirmary, then I'll find the villain who did this!

Redtail was trying to decide where it all went wrong. The little stint on the tree was only a side effect of a much larger problem she realized.
When she joined the horde she quickly moved up the ranks by proving her worth. She was lean, efficient, and frankly scary good at her job. Then came the creature comforts. The food, the wine, the soft beds and relaxing massages. Her decedent life style left her soft and now when she should have been in her prime she was obese, slow, and running for her life in an abbey from pacifits.
If she survived she could never show her face around the horde again.
Keyword if. She was feeling a little better but still dizzy from her fall. She was bleeding under her cloak, however little and her steps were a little off ballence.
She needed to hide, slip out in the morning. But where? The lizard starts for the stairs, heading up to the second level.

Fernleaf was hot on the trail of the one who had done this attack. "REDWALLLL!" he shouted, brandishing Martin's sword.

The ferret reaches the top of the stairs to find the hallway empty. There is an errie silence hanging in the air. As if something is watching the ferret but can not be seen.
Which is true...in a sense. Coiled like a snake behind the edge of an office door Rose waits with her dagger in paw. Listening, one step. Two steps. Three.
She rounds the corner in a flash, dagger flashing as she sends it for the ferrets throat!
